Omg the second worst service ever. This happened on new years day. At this location there are two cash registers so my mom went to the second one and asked for coffee. Then a man who looked about to be 25 ish yelled at her in korean«DON’T YOUSEETHATTHEREIS A LINE?!» Okay FIRSTOFALLTHEREWASNOLINEBECAUSETHEREWASN’T ANYCUSTOMERSTHERE. ITWASNEWYEARSINTHEMORNING. So my mom got upset and asked why do u have to yell to a customer like that? Then he literally looked like he was going to fight her. And I do not know why but he responded by yelling and said«don’t you have parents!!!» … wait what? When did my mom say parents? Then he was yelling at her more so the management came out and said he had a family problem please try to understand. I understand you have a problem but why do u have to take it out on my mom? So my mom complained and it was not a good start of the new years.

Verdict: All Crome locations suck. Ugh. Pastries are soooooo dry. Their coffee always suck, too. If you really want to go to a Korean bakery– which is mainly for sitting down for chit chats, Paris Baguette of Tous Le Jours is your better bet. Also, don’t sell stuff people can’t eat — as the closing time nears, there’s a small discount on their pastries but. they’re inedible and disgusting. 2 stars for cleanliness but otherwise it’s a complete waste of my time and tummy space.

Excellent bakery! I just came back from Seoul, and this bakery is equivalent to the ones there. Please go and check it out. Do not base judgement off the negative comments below, I mean those are the stupidest comments ive ever seen. They’re complaining about an employee? Get a life, all the employees are amazing, someone probably has a bad day, she’s human too. Can’t wait to go back!

I absolutely love the breads here, more than other Korean bakery establishments :) I feel like the breads are more homey! My favorite breads are the ones with nuts, rice cake, and yam! The healthier ones in my opinion have a natural taste and are very filling :)

Young girl with name tag«associate amy» at the cash register had a nasty bitchy attitude. What a way to do business! Quite frankly, I don’t have much expectations in terms of the quality of service when going to a korean store whether it be a restaurant, café, or bakery; I try to stick to the main purpose of my going there, the food. But when the attitude, tone towards a customer is rude, nasty, or mean, I have a rule of taking my business elsewhere. No one should be treated that way, and I’d like to ask«associate amy», what was the reason for conducting herself in such an unprofessional way and how she would like it to be treated the same way she did to a customer. Customers keep coming back when they have a positive experience(not a negative one) at a store. «associate amy» should keep that in mind.

This place reminded me of when I was in China and Hong Kong because you can pick what you would like. They have amazing breads and sweets. They all have bubble tea! I will be coming back ASAP!

The bread and sweets selection at Crome is good and I like that they have samples out, especially of some of the more atypical breads, like their sweet rice baguette. I do think the staff could be friendlier and on multiple occasions, they did not have the bubble tea flavors we wanted, which was inconvenient, esp. because they were still listed as options. A little bit pricey, esp. given how many other Korean bakeries there are, and the staff could be friendlier, but I do like the clean and calm atmosphere.

Probably had the worst cake I’ve ever eaten. It was crumbly, flaky, dry, bland. The frosting falls off the cake in chunks like it has been frozen for a while and thawed off before displaying. Although the drinks are well made, the cakes are not worth the money. I bought this for a party of 18 people. And no one wanted to take a 2nd bite. Definitely not buying a cake from here again.

0RATING in actuality– Just want to start that today’s experience will NEVER have me going to any Crome bakeries ever. This is my first Unilocal review(and I feel the need to write one) as I have never been so infuriated in my life. It was my daughter’s 1 year birthday party and we went in to pick up the cake on our way to our restaurant. We had a lot of setting up to do for 35 people, so we decided that we’ll quickly pick up her cake. As soon as I asked for the cake, the lady in front told me someone(male in late 30s-40s) picked up the cake already. It made no sense since I didn’t ask anyone else to pick up the cake. But I wanted to check with my brother in case he decided to do me a favor. Checked and it wasn’t him. The stupid lady in front told me the male who picked up the cake couldn’t speak Korean and when she mentioned my name and even described the decorations he said yes and took the cake. Sorry lady, that is NO excuse. This is where I got furiated. 1) she didn’t bother to check the receipt or an ID for pickup. It’s hard to understand why she thought that was acceptable when the male didn’t speak Korean and she clearly couldn’t speak English. 2) Isn’t it obvious to ask one of the younger fellow employees who speaks English to translate if the male customer didn’t speak any Korean? And if none of the 7+ employees can speak English that is a HUGE issue. The bakery needs to find new employees. 3) The lady in front just kept on saying the male picked up the cake and said the name of the customer(mine) was correct. She didn’t even apologize until I started yelling in front of all the customers. She obviously does not know how a customer feels when her 1year old’s party with 35 guests is in danger of being ruined single handedly by her negligence to check an ID. She finally decided to call the customer and confirmed that he would return the cake. There was a chance that I would not have gotten the cake back and that there would be no centerpiece to my daughter’s first birthday… And how do you have a birthday without a cake? Not sure how I would have reacted if that was the case but luckily it wasn’t. I waited over an hour to get the cake back(which was also ridiculous). She said 15 mins but that ended up being an hour. And yes, by the time the cake had arrived it was 12:10. Party was starting at 1pm and by the time I arrived at the restaurant, it was 12:20. I need this Unilocal review to go to their president who must have been sitting in an office somewhere since the incompetent lady in front was asking the employee to get coffee for their president. I regret not asking for him. She should get fired for not checking the ID of a man who couldn’t speak Korean when she didn’t speak English. They obviously weren’t understanding each other. If you have an employee dealing with customers find someone who speaks English. It doesn’t require advanced English to ask for ID. It was Crome’s sheer stupidity, incompetence and carelessness that made this happened.

So sad that they don’t serve patbingsoo except for summer months! But love this bakery! They have more than just your standard Paris baguette or tours le jour! Like the chestnut, black sesame, mochi, red beans, and pea bread! Lot of stuff to pack into a cute petite loaf but it is delicious! And their royal milk tea bubble tea is served as a slushie and is not overly sweet like most others are. They also have a spacious seating area that’s warm and inviting.

I love Crome Bakery’s ice coffee. It has a unique taste. Definitely worth to try. My favorite ice coffee in Palisades Park. Not too many baked goods to choose from, but Pal Park has plenty of bakery in every block it should not be a problem.

Crome is a great café on Broad Avenue, alongside plenty of other Korean cafes and restaurants. I find this coffee shop to be one of the most spacious coffee joints I’ve stepped foot in, in my 20 something years. They have a nice variety of breads, pastries, tarts, sandwiches, and drinks. I come here occasionally for quick, impromptu business meetings and even just to blog, depending on the day. They have fast WiFi(Chromecafe1, PW– 3100abcdef). They have floor to ceiling windows, so you’ll find yourself basking in great amounts of natural light if you sit closer to the windows.

First impression is nice. The place is brand new, clean and a lot of seating. The desserts are mostly pastries and cakes. Everything tastes good and makes for a good spot for studying, meeting up for a small date or with family. The coffee is good as well. I’ve been here 2 or 3 times already this month alone, and it won’t be the last. I also think it’s own by Koreans. Which is a good thing, because Koreans seem to have a love and attention to detail with baked goods and coffee shops in the area. Good stuff.

I am a cake lover. Chocolate cake is nice. Fruit is very fresh. The texture of tiramisu is so rough. Simple green tea is rough and wet. Doesn’t have any much green tea flavor. The café is large but it is packed on Sunday afternoon.

Saw the awesome design from the outside so we checked it out. Initial impressions were good. Very nice clean design and large. They have super slim Samsung tvs on the ceiling playing Korean music videos. The furniture is very nice and overall design well thought out. They have a well stocked cream and etc section. Even the bathrooms have a nice design. They had lots of bread left on a Sunday night around 7pm, which might not be a good sign. Anyways we tried the rice cream cheese bread($ 2.50). It was pretty good and about average sweet. We ordered a hot grapefruit green tea($ 3) and hot lemon tea($ 2.95). Both were pretty good. We also got several other larger breads. they were all good and well priced. What I didn’t like was the service. Some late 20s early 30s Korean lady took our order. I think she’s the owner or manager. No greeting at all. Not very friendly throughout. Plus I handed her my cash but she put the change and receipt on the table with no thank you either. I believe that’s very rude. Customer service is part of the job dude. We were in there the next day and she was the same. Just how she is. If it wasn’t for her this place may have gotten 5 stars but overall I would recommend this place.
