Great panini’s. My favorite is chicken. Comes with popcorn and gelato. Full meal. I also fill up my popcorn tin with the Chicago mix to take home. Friendly staff and owner.

The paninis that we ordered were delicious and came packed in a good combination of ingredients. My lemon turkey panini came with fresh basil and my husband’s Italian style sandwich came with banana peppers. I personally thought the lemon turkey breast was better than the Italian style… but my husband thought the opposite. Either way, both were good and I was impressed because I wasn’t sure what to expect from this little place hidden in the corner of a little plaza. All paninis come with a choice of popcorn and gelato. I thought the Tiramisu gelato was pretty awesome but the popcorn was just OK. And the people who work here are just lovely.

Delicious and delightful. Treat yourself and meet with your clients or fellow workers for coffee or lunch. Fresh and tasty flavored popcorn and gelato.

I have to admit that I have seasonal preferences at Signature Sweets. In summer, the peach gelato is my favorite flavor. In cooler months, I visit often for Camelia’s amazing roasted almond tea. Seriously, you have to try it. And any time of year, the paninis and flavored popcorn are sure to please! I’ve also been to several events catered by Signature Sweets– her trays are both beautiful and tasty. Add on top notch customer service, and you are guaranteed a wonderful experience at this adorable shop near Durty Nellie’s in Palatine.

came here for a quick break and I don’t regret it. They are really nice and serve probably the best fresh popcorn ever

First time at this place, although it’s cozy and staff is very friendly it was also first time I’ve ever had a veggie panini on what appeared like a hot dog bun… It was quite lacking in taste and obviously there was no textural contrast between soft vegetables and a soft tasteless and lightly grilled bun. Unfortunately had to throw a better half of it away as I absolutely lost my appetite after a few first bites. I have to say that gelato was pretty good, great smooth texture and flavor, however selection is very limited. Next time if I want a panini I’ll just go down the street to Dario’s but I might stop by this place for some gelato.

Love this place! Hard to find but worth the search. Paninis are great! Staff is very friendly. Have to try the gelato — it’s amazing! Popcorn is every bit as good as you will find downtown in the fancy popcorn stores. Gotta go here!(Hidden behind Durty Nelly’s)

To get the absolutely best panni in the Chicago area, go to Signature Sweets. Their gourmet popcorn is also fantastic!

Excellent gelato and pretty good popcorn. Very friendly people. This is a great place if you’re part of the foot traffic of Downtown Palatine. But I am a car person, and having to park in a parking garage just makes it a hassle for me. Try the Scottish Cookie flavor of gelato, it’s fantastic.

Someone gave me a gift card for this place, so my mom and I decided to check it out for lunch yesterday and had a wonderful experience! When you walk in, it’s a tiny, rustic place. We were quite impressed with our lunch – delicious panini sandwiches, some tasty gelato for dessert(which comes with your panini), and I bought some Cinnamon Roll popcorn to go! It’s so good that my bag will probably be gone soon! The woman working yesterday was so nice and helpful. Food was great and staff was very friendly. I will definitely be going back to this place to try more flavors! Tip: It’s in the Durty Nellie’s parking lot on the opposite end of where Subway is.

Such a great place! The popcorn was delicious, and the owner was very sweet. I went in for some gelato, and she gave it to me on the house! I’ll definitely be going back!

Found this place while leaving a fundraiser at Durty Nellies and had to stop in to try the popcorn. I ordered a small caramel popcorn, it was $ 4.99, when you check in on Unilocal you get a 10% coupon. Forst off they dont fill the bag all the way so they can close it with one of thier stickers, maybe I’m just spoiled by the popcorn place by my house where they load it up! I got to the car and had to try it out, judge if you must. I was really disappointed in the popcorn, it tasted like buttered popcorn that had some caramel dripped on it, not flavorful at all. I ended up throwing it away, super bummed about wasting the money, but at least I know now.

Lunch hour I saw the place and decided to pop in just to look around. I confirmed it was locally owned. I was served by Carmelia who is the owner. I always try to give locally owned shops a chance and I’m glad I did. I tried the Lemon Pepper Turkey Breast Panini and it was the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The fresh basil in the sandwich really gave it something special. Prices are pretty average for a sandwich, the but the quality was very high. The ingredients were obviously high quality– very fresh, and nothing looked or tasted like it was bought out of a warehouse. Carmelia insisted I sample each of her homemade/handmade Gelato flavors before making my selection of Scottish Cookie flavored Gelato. It was awesome. The small serving of Gelato came included in the price of the sandwich. I will be back.

They have the most awesome Paninis, the Pop Corn is out of this world, and the Gelatos yum yum! Camelia is such a nice Lady. The place is super clean, if you want to have a nice meeting, I do recommended her place. Also she has more more great things like Coffee, smoothies and much more. Also she has the most unique furniture, visit her website and then go grab a Panini!!!, I know I will…
I stop every time I got a chance to say hi to Camelia and grab lunch!

We bought two Groupons to try out Signature Sweets. The first one was used for caramel popcorn. It was so stale and sticky it was impossible to eat. If people are comparing this to Garrett’s…they’ve never had Garrett’s. Then we went back to use up the second Groupon. We decided to try the Panini’s. Unfortunately the rude woman who worked there said that Panini’s weren’t included in the Groupon, even though there was no exclusion in «rules.» Her response was that they changed the rules. LOL. If only life was that easy for the rest of us! We’re returning the second Groupon through Groupon. There is nothing here that interests us!

This place is stellar in every way. Wandered in today when I realized the next train wasn’t for an hour and the idea of Starbucks was utterly unappealing. I’d had a hideous day, and was looking for a quick pick me up, and wow, did I ever get it. I had an absolutely delicious espresso(and I’m a snob, which is why I hate Starbucks), a killer gelato, some popcorn to go, and a fantastic chat with the owner Camelia. The popcorn not only rivals Garrett’s but easily surpasses it, plus you don’t have to mortgage your kid’s trust fund to buy some. All the ingredients are fresh, everything is made to order, it’s super clean, great artwork, and most of all, you’re actually supporting a local business instead of a chain. It’s just a win all around. It’s a two minute walk from the train station(it’s in the strip mall by Durty Nellie’s), has free wifi, welcoming ambiance, and fabulous food. I wish I could give it more than five stars!

Hidden Gem Alert! Hidden Gem Alert! I FINALLY stopped in here today after having it bookmarked for probably the past 9 months. I drive by this place all the time, I’ve parked in the parking garage that directly faces the storefront, and I’ve drank a mighty brew with it’s parking lot brethren, Dirty Nellies on several occasions, yet I never noticed Signature Sweets. i walked in to an empty register working on the ‘ding the bell’ system which normally, I am not a fan of because I’ve found that people who work with that system often get pissed when you do ‘ding the bell for service,’ but not here. Friendly, fast, and genuinely cool counter staff. I ordered a veggie panini and was told it would be about 5 minutes. I liked that the guy who worked there wasn’t super concerned with making me pay right away, instead letting me browse their other offerings, like gelato, fresh(and f*cking delicious) popcorn, and various coffee offerings. Inside is super cute with a semi-generous amount of seating, some of those sliced tree stump tables(see pics) and in the further back, big cushy chairs, surrounded by the artwork of local artists, and free wifi. Sweet! A new work space, or ‘coffice’(coffee+office), if you will. I would’ve liked to see a few more beverage offerings on the menu, a Chai tea latte would have been a dream, for example, but I did like the surprise of finding out that my panini came with a ‘small’ side of any of their popcorn, which are normally $ 3 for the still very large ‘small’ cup. I chose the cheese and hot pepper popcorn and was blown away. Seriously SO good and it was actually spicy! Most spicy popcorn that claim that just have a peppery aftertaste but this one was perfect and not for the faint of heart. Almost exactly 5 minutes after ordering, my super fresh veggie panini was ready… and beautiful, and steaming hot, and smelled of fresh basil. At $ 6.95 + tax it was a steal considering the size(and quality) of the popcorn and panini. I had gotten my order to-go but snuck a bite as soon as I got in my car. At first, I was shocked by the flavor and freshness of the veggies(except the red pepper– because I have a thing about red pepper and it being one of my top least favorite foods), I loved the herby-garlic the bread had been dusted by on the inside and I was over the top about the amount of cheese used, which was not a whole lot as I’m not a fan of cheese drenched sammies– plus, it would spoil the best part — being able to taste the fresh veggies. Oh, and I usually stray away from paninis because I hate when bread is toasted and get all hard and crusty, but their was the perfect toast, in my eyes. Not crusty, still soft, and pressed extra thin. Though my first bite was very decent, I had to get my ass back home and still wanted to try and stop off as Norma’s for some chai and a slice of chocolate chip banana bread(#addicted). When I got back to my regular work space I went straight to work and forgot about my panini for the next several hours. It wasn’t until my right-hand-man came home and pointed out the box sitting next to me that I remembered. He tried a bite and his face just about melted off, «holy crap that’s good!» Hyup. I tried my second bite right after that and he was right. Letting the buttery herb garlic spread had seeped deeper into the bread; it wasn’t soggy but it was softer and flavors of the herbs were far more pungent– it seriously got better with age. If they were open a bit later, I would have gone back and gotten 2 more for dinner for my partner and I. Also worth mentioning, my pard’ner her has lived in Palatine for the past 4 years, frequently takes the train(the station is right across the street) and patronizes Durty Nellies(shares the same parking area + garage) about once a month or more with co-workers, and had never noticed this slightly off the beaten path gem. #Schooled. Outstanding on the first try, a fabulous pick for lunch, basic coffee concoctions, gelato, fresh+flavored popcorn and I can’t wait to go back!
