I went to Your Vine or Mine on a recent trip home to Ohio and I was pretty impressed. I now live in a much larger city, so I am used to much more expensive wine bars and I was shocked to see how inexpensive it was. The bar is very shabby chic/eclectic, which is how I would imagine it to be. The wines will not blow you away if you are a wine snob, as they are very fruity/lighter tasting, but that’s how I like them, so I really loved it. My parents recently did a make your own wine there and sent me a bottle of Apple Riesling and it was very great! Perfect for a German or Austrian dinner. Overall, I’d go back if ever in Ohio!

We loved it! Such a great little micro winery with lots of options. Most microwineries only have a few wines, but there were a lot to try from. The Apple Riesling was delicious! We also got a panini to share and the spinach artichoke dip was by far our favorite. They also offer craft nights and make your own wine. We are excited to try both!

I really enjoy your vine or mine. While their wine is not robust or high class it is tasty. I’m sure it’s all made from those juice kits. They have a lot of sweet fruit wine which I enjoy. The staff is typically very friendly and the crowd has a lot of regulars but they are a jolly bunch. The place is dimly lit with candles and twinkle lights. The seating is small tables and wicker patio sets. It’s quite intimate and romantic. This is a great place for a date. You can sit in a quiet corner and actually have a conversation in peace and be unbothered. Or if you’d like you can sit at the bar and chit chat with the other friendly patrons.

Tons of fun. They started crafts and carafes. Up to 24 «art» students take the class with 2 – 3 instructors and your fees include yummy wine, a personal munchie plate and art supples. Next class us Tuesday June 10, 2014. They start at 6:30 to 9:00.but you can stay longer and enjoy another glass of wine.

My friend had come into town due to a death in her family and her husband told me that she was really stressed. I suggested going out to relax and get her mind off the situation. We went to Your Vine or Mine and just sat and relaxed with a glass or 2 of wine. My friends said that the wine was excellant and the atmosphere was just what was needed. They want us to take them back there the next time they come into town. This is one of our favorite wineries!

Cute, dimly lit little place. But I don’t like when bars burn scented candles. It smelled more like a Yankee Candle store than a wine bar. They allegedly make all of their own wines. I selected their Sauvignon Blanc which they said was made in New Zealand… well, it didn’t have any characteristcs of a true NZ style Sauvignon Blanc. The bruschetta appetizer is non-traditional…it’s on a chewy dough with tomatoes mixed in balsamic vinegar. The cheese plate was pedestrian… Crunchmaster crackers, regular cheddar cheese, and regular swiss cheese. I expected some artisanal cheese… sigh. This place has A LOT of potential because it is very cute and cozy. But the food and wine quality is just okay.

Your Vine or Mine is a charming winery/wine bar in the downtown Painesville square. It’s really a hidden gem. With antique furniture and well thought out decorative details, Your Vine or Mine serves as the perfect spot to spend an evening with friends sampling some of their many wines. But if you’re more ambitious, you can bottle your own wine, selecting one of the many delicious recipies used in house.
