Park at your own risk!!! If you don’t care about your car or truck, then it’s great. It’s a free for all! Park and drive around the parking lot like you own the place! Have you ever heard of parking curbs? Might help??? Go inside and open mouth cough. Go out the in, and in the out. Then look as if, everyone else is backwards and crazy. The carts are to big for the isles, or the isles or to small for the carts??? You will always be in the way of someone, and they will be in the way of you. Great place to shop… good deal… OK!

Smith’s is very popular with seniors probably because it’s a short walk from things parking lot to the store interior. Selection is good and the deli is great. This store has a gas station with diesel in the front just off the highway.

The store is clean and well organized… but my favorite part of this store is the bakery. I love their baked goods. After a long drive, I was craving dessert so my dad and I made a late-night run to Smith’s. Chocolate cake was purchased and man, it was delicious. There is a gas station on the premises… not too sure of their reward programs. I’ll be back!

Excellent prices and service. Very clean and well kept store and the gas prices are spot on! Bakery had lots of fresh offerings and the seafood is amazingly cheap!

This location of Smith’s has a gas station. And it was only $ 2.99 a gallon for the cheap stuff. But that’s still almost a dollar cheaper than in Los Angeles. Make sure to fill up here if you’re on your way to Death Valley or to Vegas.

While visiting Death Valley we stayed in Pahrump a few days. Every day we headed out we went to the Smith’s Deli for sandwiches(they are not advertised, but they will make them for you) and boy what a delight. For $ 4.99 we received sandwiches that were so yummy and large enough to eat one half and be full. Not sure about the store itself, but I am a fan of the deli!

Since they remodeled the store it is one of the best places to shop. It seems that unlike Walmart people keep their screaming kids at home when they shop here. The produce is way better then the other offerings in town and so is the meat.

Was traveling through town and needed to buy some dry ice. Was sent to the customer service desk by one of the cashiers. Had to wait in line while the customer in front of me dealt with an issue. Begin FLAME — The guy in front of me purchased two nasty looking precooked chickens. Apparently if you buy two you get them for the price of one. However, the advertised deal was not programmed into the computer. Instead of just giving the guy about $ 2 the customer service person proceeded to rering everything in the guys in the basket except for something that was about the same price as the twin chicken. Except that she didn’t credit the guys card for the original purchase. Then they proceeded to have an argument about whether or not his card was going to get credited for the correct amount. I’m on vacation and willing to wait for the blessed dry ice that I hope is stored behind the counter. Finally after the manager is called and she practically calls the customer service person and idiot for not just giving the guy $ 2 back for his now cold as a rock chicken twins the guy tromps out and I am next in line. «You should have just got that from the cashier!» the customer service lady shouts at me 20 minutes after I’d already asked the cashier where to get the damn dry ice. GRRRR! —- End FLAME The dry ice was awesome. It lasted almost 2 days while I sweltered in Death Valley. But I swear that I would have been better off with spoiled milk than to have spent a minute in that store. Also… I was kind of hoping to see a bona fide prostitute in Pahrump but evidently they don’t shop at Smith’s.

I just moved to Pahrump from Silicon Valley, and adjusting to new«go-to» places like markets, restaurants, etc. can be a challenge. The Pahrump Walmart… overall…has low prices on everyday items, but the meat arrives on a truck, pre-packaged. The produce is OK but not better than«OK.» The Pahrump Albertson’s has a good meat counter and«better than OK» produce, but as a market overall, I would grade it a C+, maybe a B– at best. Smith’s, on the other hand, has a GREAT produce section, a meat counter that rivals or exceeds Albertson’s(depending on what you’re buying), a KILLER on-site bakery where the items are BAKEDONSITE(it is now my go-to place for donuts). If you live in Pahrump(depending on your tastes), you basically get the Albertson’s and Smith’s sale papers in your mail each week, do your homework, make a shopping list, and split your shopping between Albertson’s, Smith’s and WalMart. As an example… Smiths’ has a lot of «case lot» prices and«10 for $ 10» items. This week, Barilla pasta is «10 for $ 10.» A stone’s throw down the road, at Albertson’s, Barilla is on their shelves for $ 2.69 a box. Unless you have money to burn, you have to be a «smart shopper» in this town. My overall feeling when I enter Smith’s is that it’s run by a manager who absolutely knows what they are doing. The store is clean, well organized, and every member of the staff I have met so far has been friendly and helpful. They also have this little meat counter the MINUTE that you walk in the door that will knock your socks off. This is where they place the sale items. The other day they had TWO large chuck roasts in a pack for $ 11. Yesterday, it was four thick, beautiful, well-trimmed boneless pork chops. If you are like me and transplanted from Pahrump from a larger city, you will find what you need at all three markets, but when you want something a little special, something to treat yourself or your friends /family, you will find it at Smith’s. Five stars. Keep up the good work.
