Slow. Slow. Slow. Slow. What can I say? Walmart pharmacy now kicks City Markets tail. Walmart is so quick you don’t even know what to think!

Pretty convenient having this place so close by the resort we were staying in. The place we are staying does not have any kitchen items except dishes and pans. Makes for a very convenient place to get all you need or have forgot.

The current renovation is DISGUSTING that they are working at night without covering any of the vegetables and fruit. Grinding the floor and dust all over everything. NOTONEFOODITEMCOVERED. This is there quality and no concerns for your health!!! City Market should investigate this and also the health department we are calling!!!

Ventured out with my mother-in-law(local) to get the weekly ranch supply’s and found myself impressed with city market. The first thing I noticed was the installation of a new Starbucks. Normally I’m a supporter of local merchants but I only seem to enjoy Starbucks coffee… sorry a bit snobby. The prices at this store were surprisingly. Affordable for a mountain town… could be the Walmart competition. The meat, fruits, vegetables and dairy were all fresh and well stock. I would recommend them over Walmart any day!

Selections were okay. The people were incredibly nice. It was an all in all a typical grocery store experience. I wish they had a more organic and natural path section though.

Nice selection of items but crazy prices. My store in Colorado just had raspberry for .88 cents these were 4.79 for a small container. Everything was extremely expensive. Believe this to be because there is no competitions.

The prices are UP! Just in time for summer. Tourists should stay away and try Old Town Market. Selection of organic items are limited. Healthier items sold elsewhere.

Fully stocked with most anything you’d get at national chains, plus the hermit essentials. As the only real grocery in town with reasonable business hours, they do alright in not screwing you on prices. Restocking crew can get a little sloppy, but layout is pretty logical and the cashiers are friendly.

People here are jerks. Store is small. They close at 10:00 pm not 11:00pm like most citymarkets and they do not announce it. You can tell here eager to go home. They just turn the lights off & then you should get a clue there closing I guess. Do they not have a intercom they could say there closing in 15or10or5minutes? Normal People working there are jerks did I mention that? I don’t buy frozen, package, canned, garbage junk food items so I don’t know about prices. They have some organic veggies and fruits witch is good. They have a Hard time keeping it all in stocked. But the people here just make me want to move out of pagosa completely. i go shop at joys natural market over by hogs restaurant.

It’s the only grocery store in town besides the natural one. Same layout as Kroger/King Soopers but smaller. I go back into town to visit from time to time and still see the same people I have seen since high school working there. The place is clean and ok, but nothing special. Avoid going between 5 – 6 because, as I said, only grocery store in town and everyone and their mother is there right after work during the week.

I’m from southern Ohio where we have Kroger as the primary grocery store chain. City Market is in the same store family and I immediately felt right at home inside. It’s not quite as large as a normal Kroger, but the quality is just as high and the product selection is comparable. As others have said, two City Markets showed up on my GPS unit, but only the one on the western side of Town actually existed(as far as I could tell). This is convenient for people staying in the Whyndam residences and a few other lodgings on that side of town.

It’s the only grocery store in Pagosa. The selection is decent for the size of the town. They are well aware of the monopoly they have there which is of course reflected in their pricing. The next grocery store is the Walmart in Durango.

Just so you know, we found out last week that there is now only ONE City Market in Pagosa Springs, CO…& it’s awesome! We found it to have an excellent selection of organic & smaller company foods(which I love!) Easy navigation & benches out front for those who don’t want to shop. The one in the center of town closed recently & the remaining store is out by the McDonalds. Seems a little strange for a town to only have one grocery store, but hey, it’s a big one & no price-gouging noted here!

I don’t know how this is the«good» City Market and I am at a loss as to why anyone in their right mind would need Red Box while on vacation in a resort town to be honest. The pharmacy there almost always had problems with our orders. Yes, it is a bigger store and if you are looking for something non-mainstream that is not Hispanic in nature you will probably find it there. But it also lacks the local feel which is why people go to Pagosa Springs in the first place. I usually used the smaller location when I lived there in Pagosa. It has more friendly cashiers, it is closer to The Springs, and it has the downtown local flavor going for it. For Pharmacy needs I prefer Jackisch downtown.

There’s 2 City Markets in the town of Pagosa, so I’m using my skills in deductive reasoning, and assuming this is the address for the«Good» City Market. This market is not the tiny 1 in the center of Town, but about 2 miles South(Towards Durango). It looks like your older, smaller King Soopers, and has everything you need for your vacation condo or hotel room. Has: Red Box Deli Food Pharmacy What else do you need on vacation?

This was the closest grocery store to the property we rented while staying in Pagosa Springs on our last vacation. They are in the Kroger family and accept your Kroger’s reward card for discounts. I did not have my card with me so I just keyed in my home phone number. The store was clean and the prices at City Market were very comparable to the prices I would find in the Dallas area. The veggies were fresh but some of the fruit was starting to go bad. We purchased a cheesecake from their frozen food section. We threw some canned fruit on top since the fruit from the produce section weren’t fresh. I also bought a lemon bar from their bakery. Both the cheesecake and lemon bar was very good.
