I got carne asada tacos. They were ok. Boyfriend had the a carne, lengua and buche taco. My taco was a bit on the greasy side. They could have put a tad bit more meat. Flavor was just ok . The salsas were different for me. They did taste good. The place kind of looks like someone’s house inside. A few mismatched tables. The bathroom wasn’t so clean. They could update the look. The workers were friendly. They bring your food over to your table.

The tacos are absolutely delicious. I can honestly say some of the best carne asada tacos I’ve had and my GF loved them also. Tortillas are hand made, the meat is fresh and staff is very friendly. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve lived in the are since 1994 and I had stopped for breakfast at this place for the first time lol! Food and service were good. I had their chilaquiles with carne and it was on the spot. I would recommend this place for a quick stop to grab something to eat.

Made a pit stop here to grab breakfast as I was on my way to SF& had been road tripping for 2 hrs. My friends and I were super hungry so we made a stop here thinking we could get some good, home styled Mexican food. I regret not looking up the place before ordering because we could’ve gotten better food and service elsewhere. The place itself looks a little run down which didn’t make it inviting. The ladies working there were nice, but the wait took forever. There were 5 of us starving & we waited almost an hour for food. Not to mention it took 20 mins for us to get drinks to our table when there were only three other people at the restaurant. 4 out of the 5 drinks were water… Anyway, once we got our food we encountered the annoying task of having to swat flies away from our food. Now, I know this isn’t really the restaurant’s fault but I have to admit that I don’t usually find myself having to do so anywhere else. The food was okay tasting & too greasy. I ordered their potato tacos and there was just too much oil oozing from everything– the fried tortilla, the potatoes, and even the side beans. It was just kind of a sad sight to see when your hunger is rampant. I was only able to eat two tacos before the blandness and greasiness made me queasy. My friends ordered their beef tacos and said they were okay. Another one of my friends ordered some kind of soup that gave her food poisoning not long after leaving. Parking is messy here as they share a lot with a car shop next door. Slight inconvenience even for 10 in the morning when the lot is full and you have to find the owner of the car that’s parked behind you. Only good thing I had here was their horchata.

I use to come here 3 or 4 years ago for their Quesadillas, never had an issue until tonight. The First Lady who assisted me spoke Spanish, which is fine. I told her I wanted a quesadilla which is Spanish word, instead of charging me $ 5 she charges me $ 11. So I another lady come and tries to assist, I paid with a card so there was no refund I guess, I tell the lady I want a quesadilla and she said“she charged you for the dinner, I wait literally 20 mins for my food«to go» and it arrives on a plate with nothing I ordered then the lady who spoke English gets all defensive and is trying to argue, they did offer to make a quesadilla but my then I’m so over it. I just take the food but it annoyed me how she tried to argue with me and I was being so nonchalant, I was just disappointed how the lady tried to make it seem like its my fault. I work in customer service in a high stressful situation but I never make the customer feel like they have done something wrong even if they have. I will never go back no because the order /language barrier. I will not return because the lady who tried to discredit me or argue with me, a paying customer who paid double for the wrong order.

The staff was ridiculously kind. They oozed happy contentment. I wasn’t expecting good food, but after ordering guacamole she asked me how spicy I wanted it. Yes… They make their guacamole fresh, it was hands down the most simply delicious guac I have ever had, and I pride myself in the art of guac making. Their carne asada tacos were simple, their salsas were phenomenal. Being a little white girl in a heavily Latino area, I felt completely safe. Who cares what the other lackluster reviews said, this place is dope. Be sure to order the guac. Enjoy the family atmosphere, a grandma hanging out with her grandson waved me over and proceeded to tuck the tag of my shirt back in. I got to practice my meager Spanish, laughs all around. Thank you ladies for the wonderful meal and awesome hospitality!

Food was average at best. The carne asada is plain tasting and really needs some more ingredients. Al pastor is great here and it’s the only thing I get. For those watching your spending, the prices have gone up on some of the items.

Typical restaurant in the Pacoima area kinda no flavor. I had the special of 5 bucks. 3 tacos with rice and beans. Sometimes when I see reviews here that say, «nothing special» it’s like, «no duh?» What do you expect freaking service that will blow you away? You sometimes get a good restaurant here and there that is listed under, «hole in the wall» but before you ever go into a restaurant and order you look at the surrounding buildings and the establishment to get an idea what your getting yourself into. I knew what I was getting into because I noticed that and because I did I just wanted a quick bite to eat. But like the previous comment hardly no flavor, not like mind blowing flavor, but just no flavor. Other guy is a moron.

Well now I know why there are no previous reviews. The food isn’t worth eating! Their carne asada was unflavored ground beef and the al pastor was warm, flavorless nothing. The salsa, limes and radishes were by far the best part of the meal. Move on.
