I’ve come to eat here twice with my mom. The service was impeccable. The minestrone soup is the best I’ve ever eaten. This place has a warm and friendly vibe. I’ve added it to my first choice of places I’ll choose when dining out. Side note: while waiting for your food to arrive, you are served two different kinds of warm French bread, olives and balsamic vinegar and olive oil!!! Yum!!!

Great food and service! We just came here on our back back to SF after an early hike, and we really liked this place! The pizza was huge!(and we only ordered the medium). Lots of cheese, and enough toppings. Other guys in the group ordered meatballs and were great too, and I also had a minestrone soup, which was very hearty and rich. I would definitely come back!

First time we ordered take out from here was tonight. We both ordered gnocchi. Mine with prosciutto, holy cow it was seriously great. Wife had nonna’s and it was tasty but i won this round ;-). We got plain penne with butter for the boy… He went to town, the two year old finished dinner for a 12 yo! Garlic bread was great but the dog stole about half of it. It’s fine she’s nearly 15 years old. Salad and soup($ 2 ea with the entrees) were both huge the three of us shared all of it. Now we are stuffed and happy. We’ll be back soon!

This little spot was perfect! Love this place! I called the day ahead and let them know I was bringing a party of 8 on a Sunday. Kathy had our table ready for us and was spot on getting our drinks and orders taken. The pizzas were super tasty, the bread and olives waiting for us were yummy. I didn’t get the cooks name but he was eager to please and made sure we enjoyed everything. Thank you so much and we will look forward to eating there again! *Extra bonus, nice clean bathroom too.

We love this place! The owner is a great cook and the food is consistently good. We normally order pasta dishes, but we like their pizza as well. We eat at the restaurant most of the time and we’ve always had good experiences.

It saddens me to write this review, but, after this latest mishap, I feel like I have to say something. I have been a Point customer since day one. Initially, we loved it, but the quality has declined over time, thus we frequent it a lot less often. We do, however, continue to pick up the occasional to-go order and we buy slices on the weekend. One reason this is not high on our list of go-to places is the young staff. It is nice that Lisa(the owner) gives jobs to high-school kids, but she needs to train them because nothing will drive me away faster than bad service. Another irritant — the on-line menu is way outdated. To give you an idea of how these things work together to cause frustration, a couple of weeks ago, I called to order manicotti, which is listed as a menu item. The young girl who answered the phone said«I don’t even know what that is.» I pointed out that it is on the menu, so she covered the phone and loudly asked someone if they cary manicotti. Turns out, they don’t — and have not for some time. Annoying, yes — but whatever. Tonight though, our experience transcended annoying and became surreal and totally unacceptable. It started when I called to order gnocchi with Rosa sauce to go. Rosa sauce is a vegetarian, creamy red sauce. That specific combination is not on the menu, but it is my favorite and my most frequent request. The young girl who took my order did not repeat it back to me, so I was a little worried that I might end up with the wrong dish(this has happened more than once), accordingly, I asked my husband to double check the order before he left. He swears he asked the girl if our order included gnocchi with Rosa sauce and she said«yes.» Well, it didn’t. I got gnocchi with prosciutto(ham) and peas. Now, I try hard not to eat meat and definitely do not eat pig! My husband did not feel like driving back to get the right order and I had a migraine, so I called to note that I would be by in the next few days to pick up a refund. The owner was not in, so I ultimately spoke with the cook who said he would pass along my refund request. A short time later, the cook(a very nice, patient guy) called back to tell me he had spoken with Lisa and. .. brace yourself. .. she told him that — due to a recent SPIKE in people claiming they had received the wrong order — she demanded that I bring the food back in order to get a refund. HUH??? I’m sorry, but I am not storing the wrong pasta dish in my fridge until I can make it over there to get a refund of the money that I paid for the WRONGORDER. The cook was stuck with the un-fun duty of having to explain that this was a requirement — and he repeated that the need to return the food is the product of having recently received so many similar calls. I offered to send a photo of the food to prove I wasn’t lying, but he did not feel comfortable giving me his number or the owner’s. Thus, I told him I would post the picture on Unilocal,so that Lisa would see I had not lied. Given that I really DID receive the wrong order, I have to assume that the other people who have complained were also not lying — they too opened their«to-go» bags at home only to learn they had been given the wrong food. The fault is the Point’s — not the customer’s. We shouldn’t have to shlep the food back to get a refund. Here is your proof that my order was wrong. Keep the refund Lisa. I am done. For future reference though, you should stop assuming your customers are liars and fix whatever is causing them to complain.

Would love to review this place if they were ever open when I go! I have a wacky work schedule and don’t always remember what day of the week it is. The first time I tried to go was on a Tuesday the one day of the week they are closed. The second time I try to go on Wednesday but I didn’t check their hours they don’t open till 4. It was 230pm. Today I check the website, open 4 – 8, it’s 6pm! Score! Drive over and there is a sign in the window… closed for the week! One of these days I will be able to try your food… to be continued. Since Unilocal doesn’t allow me to not put any stars I will put 3 and update when I can actually try their food.

Yummy pizza. Quiet enjoyed it. It’s a bit expensive. Service was distracted, forgetful, and inexperienced — hopefully they will get better.

I like their pizza OK, but most importantly cause it’s convenient. it’s a little pricey and not too many choices(i like loads of veggies on my pizza) but they’re not bad in a pinch.

My family and I LOVE The Point! Everything is delicious and the owners and staff are perfectly lovely. The Chicken Parmesan cannot be beat by any other restaurant, the lasagna is amazing, salads are fresh and delicious and pizzas are perfect. Portions are generous, so you will not leave hungry. We’ve never had a bad dish, Lisa can cook! The Point is our local go-to restaurant and we find the environment warm and cozy!

Pizza by the slice and a decent Italian beer. Whats not to not? Stopped by for a large snack. Good pepperoni pizza and a Peroni beer. Taste like a Corona Extra except with an added bite. Everything was perfect. I’ll be back.

Love the Menu! It’s nice to see the local high school kids working. You have to understand that this is a great learning experience for them so be kind when rating customer service. The Pasta dishes are to DIE for! Sometimes they could use a little more salt, but hey everything is made with fresh ingredients and served hot hot hot! The Penne Rosa and the Farfalle Shrip are my Fav. Had the Artichoke dip and it was Yum! Came with freshly made crostini. Definitely a casual and easy place to have a bite to eat. Pizza is Good! Order a large and take it to the beach. SO convenient! Or stay and enjoy watching the game with other locals.

The calamari was OK, it was ready quickly. It was bland so I added some salt and the whole family dug in. My ordered a Greek salad, it wasbdelicious. The staff was very friendly. The pizza took about 15 minutes max to arrive at our table. We ordered the carnivore. My wife’s words describe it best: «This is a rediculously good pizza.» Seriously, this is the best pizza I’ve hadbin years. If you are in town visiting and want to try a local place but are apprehensive, this place will make you feel glad you didn’t play it safe with a chain restaurant.

Got take out from The Point while on vacation and it was pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parmesan and he loved it. I ordered the Capellini Primavera and it was pretty bland, definitely needed salt and more garlic. The garlic bread was delicious! The Caesar salad to go order is huge! One is definitely large enough for two people.

I enjoyed this place very much. I came here with a friend on a walk this afternoon and wanted to try the caprese pannini because I love caprese. You start off with a plate of bread and olives brought over with olive oil and vinegar. It was delicious and not too much to fill me up before my meal. The sandwich was very tasty. It came with a pesto/mayo mix that was terrific. The bread was crunchy and held it all nicely. My first half did drip a lot and therefore soaked the other half of my sandwich, but I was able to eat around it. Definitely needed to ask for more napkins! I will be coming here again. I saw some other stuff I want yo try out! Nice spot especially for lunch! And decently priced.

Last night I wanted to reward my pizza loving son, so I drove over to get him his favorite sausage and pepperoni pizza. I went for the 16″ thinking, because he’s a BIG pizza eater he’ll polish most of it off. For my husband and I the order was a 16“er with pancetta, bell pepper, onions and«lots of mushrooms». The pizza’s were huge! My 17 year old could only finish half, and we two adults only ate ½ between the two of us. I should start out by saying I’m not a big pizza fan, and I’m really only in it for the toppings. These toppings, especially the pancetta, were great. I was disappointed that the mushrooms were not at all abundant, despite my request. The crust was average, I’d say, chewy, not crunchy, which would have been my preference. I would have preferred less cheese, it was to the gloppy point for me, but I know for many people this is heaven. So on balance, it’s better than the chains. The people who work there are very pleasant. Prices are a bit on the high side($ 40 and some change for the two pizza’s I described), but portions are huge. Will we be back? Of course, it’s close by and rivals anything else within the same distance, but if I lived in an urban area with lots of choices, I think not so often.
