I love this place! All of the women are always so nice and do a great job. The service is wonderful and although they are always busy, I always get in without a wait. Highly recommended!

My first experience at this place was disappointing at best. When I walked in, I was told a mani and pedi was $ 34. The staff was extremely pushy and kept asking me if I wanted a massage and paraffin treatment. I nodded my head a few times when they asked me if I wanted what are typically standard services (e.g., callus removal) and was not told they were an additional charge. Suddenly, my $ 34 mani and pedi turned into $ 58. I’ve had much better experiences for half the price. I don’t like leaving a place and feeling like I was taken advantage of. Plus, my toenail polish is chipping only two days later. So many other options, my friends. Don’t choose this one.

This place is AMAZING! Seriously the best pedicure I’ve ever had. Super reasonable, very clean and cute, and the nicest ladies! Will 100% be coming back here for my nails from now on.

Best pedicure I have ever had! Callus removal, sea salt scrub, and paraffin wax for 37 $ (before tip/​tax) and I would’ve honestly paid 60 for it because it was so amazing. I could tell she really cared and how I liked it and you can pay extra for a shoulder massage which I might do next time. We need one of these spas in San Diego because I’m beyond impressed! Come here for a deluxe pedi!

I asked for a manicure in the spa chair so I could get a massage. I just wanted to use the massage chair but they were pushy about me getting a neck massage so I tried it. $ 1 per minute. Manicure $ 15, massage $ 30, parafin $ 7. The manicurist was good but she couldn’t stop sniffling. Then 2 days later my nail started peeling off. I’ve never had that happen before at any salon I’ve tried. I won’t be going back. Massage lady was good but pushing sales.

This is by FAR the BEST nail salon in Pacific Palisades. I just moved to NYC and still come home to get my gels done here. I can’t believe someone would write a bad review on such a great place. I can’t find a salon in NY that compares to Ruby and her staff. My mom loves it, as do all my girlfriends who live in LA. Don’t let a bad review scare you away. If there were 6 stars, I would give it to them. They even do great waxing and amazing shoulder massages. Trust me, your going to LOVE Rubys Nail Salon. No attitudes, just smiling faces and great work!!!

Terrible customer service. Walked in this place and even though they kept telling us they would be with us, they kept taking other customers that came in after we did and we pretty much had to beg them to give us pedicures and manicures. Then when I asked them to fix the polish on my daughter they acted as if they were annoyed. I won’t be going back to this place. They need to learn the meaning of customer service!

This place is awful. Just had a regular manicure and its already messed up! $ 20 wasted. Never again! Ugh and the lady was rough with removing my previous gel nails. Don’t go here!

Great service and reasonable prices. All the people who work here are great. My wife & I go every other week and we love it here. Been to all of the nail salons in the palisades and this is, by far, the best.

Sloppy work. Lousy pedicure. All smiles and no skill. Lousy foot massage. Rough filing. I had to coach them through what I needed done, which wasn’t much. Remove old polish and give me a clear coat on nails. Clearly you have to know the right aesthetician to get the right work. Cost nearly $ 50!!! Not worth my time. Or yours!
The tools didn’t look clean, but I’m not county health department.

I am a HUGE fan of Rubys Nail and Spa! By far the BEST nail salon in Pacific Palisades. Ruby is a master at nails and Bea does an amazing pedicure (and shoulder massage:)
My nails never chip and my feet are soft and callous free. They have a magic secret for that.

I really wanted to give Ruby 5 stars but unfortunately I cannot. I went in to get a simple quick manicure ($ 15) but it took well over an hour with a bill for $ 25.
First what you need to know about the ‘5 minutes’ wait: that’s what they welcome you with … After repeating this 4 times by 4 different girls (4x5minutes), they finally sit me on a chair 20 mts later …
The manicurists spoke practically no English. Unfortunately my Vietnamese is non existent, therefore I couldn’t communicate with her. She enthusiastically starts rubbing my hands, arms, shoulders, neck, even further down my back (weird as I was fully dressed and sitting in a stiff chair). 30 minutes since I came in, my nails still untouched… I start looking at the clock and I ask her to please stop and start with the manicure … Which 30 mts later was done. It was ok.
Another 10 mts to dry my nails and the bill comes charging for massage etc…
The salon is new and clean and the nail job was fine but beware of the ‘5 minutes’ wait and the massage scam ! :(

I have been getting my nails done in Santa Monica and wanted to find a local place in Pacific Palisades where I live.
I tried out three different salons (there is quite a selection in the Palisades area) before settling at Ruby’s Nail & Spa.
I like the spacious feel and beautiful color décor. The massage chairs are comfortable and soothing music plays in the background.
Ruby and her staff have great attitudes and do excellent work. Ask for Helen, I like her a lot.
Yeah! I have found my new place.

Best manicure pedicure in town! The salon is clean and very well decorated. Ruby has a huge selection of polish colors (Essie and OPI) and a wide variety of gel color options. Parking is easy, there is a metered lot right next door to the salon. Ruby has done a great job with the space and I will definitely be returning! **ASK FOR: Kelly or Celine for mani/​pedi**

Ok yes this place is gorgeous and clean inside and they do have a wide selection of colors, but like others have mentioned, they are so slow.
My girlfriend and I came around 2pm on Sunday for mani/​pedis (no gel) and we picked our colors and were seated a couple minutes later. We sat and sat and sat and I was fine because I had the nice massage chair and my feet were soaking, but we seriously sat there probably 20 minutes before anyone started on us. My girlfriend had one girl doing her toes and one doing her hands so she was finished well before I was, Ruby did her pedicure and it looked great. I had gels on my nails previously so my gal wrapped my nails with the tinfoil and the whole thing to remove them while she worked on my pedicure.
She left the foils on so long that my nails actually warped and my fingertips swelled so bad that the side of my nails were digging in to my skin! I finally took the foils off myself. The pedicure looks ok, but her file job was horrific on both my toes and my fingers, super uneven, and at present (Wednesday), three nails have already chipped.
My girlfriend wasn’t given a foot massage at all (WHAT!?) and was given a very brief and pathetic arm massage. I opted for the extra five minute massage (she had already done a good job on my arms/​hands for what was included) and it was only $ 5.00 extra… SO WORTH IT. She was super strong and really loosened me up. My pedicure included the normal foot massage but I was irritated my friend didn’t get hers when we paid the same.
I had to ask my gal several times to fix certain nails because they were unevenly painted or filed, so that’s irritating, but she gave a mean massage and was really sweet.
I wouldn’t return here. Not worth the wait. The price was reasonable, my mani/​pedi/​gel removal/​extra massage came out to around $ 50.00

I drive here from Malibu just to see Bea and the girls. They are perfectionists and the place is so clean. Great massage chairs, diverse nail color selection and cool vibe.

Really loved it here– Kelly was so kind! Ann, Lisa and my amazing neck massage woman (I didn’t get her name!) were just the best. I felt like a queen, and left with incredible nails and toes. So relaxing, clean, and fun. Thanks to all who helped make my experience so incredible! Xx

The massage chairs are amazing and the price is right. I left here feeling like I had done yoga, meditation and chi gong but the truth is I’d worked a 12 hour day and just got a $ 15.00 manicure. Stoked! I don’t like the clientele the place attracks. All the other customers were rude douche bags but the staff made up for it with their polite greetings and smiles. (Like, why are people complaining about soaking? That’s the first step for callus remove, right? RIGHT!)
PS. The manicurist didn’t comment on my extreme winter gardener cuticles which I appreciate because I’m already aware of how gnarly they are.

Ruby found the perfect shade of red for me. The staff is friendly and professional but are also committed to quality. Very relaxing environment as far as nail salons go with easy parking in the lot next door or street if available. Comfortable massage chairs, clean and professional.

I love Ruby Nails! This is a lovely, brand new salon right in the heart of the village of Pacific Palisades. The owner, Ruby, is a perfectionist when it comes to nail care and she demands the same of her staff. Ruby herself gave me my manicure today and her attention to detail around my not-​so-​perfect nail beds was amazing.
Ruby has done a good job in the design of the space too, it’s very simple and beautiful with a relaxing vibe.
By the way, on top of a great manicure and pedicure today, I also got an amazing foot and leg massage by Jennifer!
Highly recommend for a clean, beautiful and professional nail salon. Ruby is the best!
