Davie Etoile MD

I really like Dr. Davie’s very calm personality. She has been with my 3 children from birth. Her and her network are there when I need them. The office staff is always friendly and helpful.

Dr. Davie is a kind doctor but there is very little effort by her or her nurse to make toddlers feel comfortable about their visits, and wait time is typically long. Appointments are generic — dealing only with the current and basic symptoms– with very little discussion or discovery to ensure total wellness of your child. We actually switched doctors for two appointments due to convenience and time conflicts. When we showed up again after making an appointment we were actually refused service because of the switch. Great directive for a doctors office and shows real concern for a child!

Dr. Davie is a very kind and gentle doctor. My son can be a little nervous, and she really put him at ease. She took her time with us, and answered all of my questions. She has another doctor that has joined her practice, and perhaps that will help address some of the concerns of the post that mentions her being unavailable. I haven’t noticed that, she always has been there when we’ve needed her.

But, as a parent, one of the most important things to cultivate in a pediatrician is the confidence that you can actually depend on them to at least be around every now and then for well-​checks and sick baby appointments, to be available for emergencies, and have a reliable support network in the case that the pediatrician is not available.
Dr. Davie does none of this; she is not around for wellness checks, even if you book it with her and confirm that she will be the doctor. She has never been available for any after hour call for me in nearly two years, and does not have any reliable backup network. As a parent, to have a one doctor office is concerning, especially when that doctor is very rarely around.
