Let me start off by saying that this review is only for purchasing a membership, straight awful customer service!!! My Guy was purchasing a membership and asked me to check it out with him to get my opinion of the facility. Isn’t first glance, this location is very well light and huge! There were plenty of machines! Even at a peak time, it was plenty of machines available! So already my opinion is looking well for this place! Alas we go to the desk to start the processes of gaining a membership! There was no hello, welcome to Planet Fitness, but there was a not to friendly gentleman named Greg there to «help.» Granted, Planet Fitness is a no frills type of gym at an affordable price, however, customer service is always appreciated! We were not invited to have a seat at the empty tables in front that look like they were there to talk about the gym and the services offered. He did not explain much about the gym, but of how the pricing works! What did throw me off, is that he asked for a bank check IMMEDIATELY! I was super thrown off by that! Like, you’re not even going to explain the process before you ask me for a check! He asked for payment if the prorated amount and that was it! He told my guy to pick a gift, showed him the training schedule and that was it! He barely looked us in the face at all! My guy knew immediately that I would have something to say about the customer service! Needless to say, the facility is nice, but I didn’t experience the best service!

It’s clean. Easy parking. Cheap. Taking a star away for noise. It’s really loud in here… not the people but the overhead music volume.

This fitness center is the best-run and best-maintained business in all of Oxon Hill. It’s an inspiration to the community to keep things classy and healthy. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The manager is great at sales but even better at delivering on what he sells.

EXCELLENTJOBPLANETFITNESS! District Height’s is my home gym because at the time it was the closest(I’ll be changing that today). But it’s always crowded, even when I go at 4−5a.m. Hubby and I went to Oxon Hill and we were 2 of 5 people in there getting it in. The equipment is different, so I had to walk around first and check out the machines, but once I figured out which ones I needed(upper body day) we were good to go. The only reason that this gets 4 stars instead of 5, is because when I went to get my things out of the locker, a roach ran out of it. My hubby had to remind me that we were in Eastover, so I chalked this solely up to the location of the gym. Besides, before it was a gym it was a pretty cruddy shoe store that had been there forever. I’m sure some«friends» survived the renovation… Anyway, I’ll definitely be back. :-)

I give it a 4 star because: — It’s extremely close to my house — Open 24⁄7 — Lots of new equipment — New & clean facility(we’ll see how long that lasts being in the black ppl area) — Love the water massage bed(only available to Black Card members) — Lots of TVs, fans, & all necessary for a full body workout. — The showers are new, so you won’t feel like you’ll catch an STD if(God forbid) you happen to touch a wall. The Cons — None of the employees are fit or even look like they’re trying to be — Although they are a gym, they promote unhealthy stuff like free Pizza every 1st Monday and bagels on some mornings. No fruit, no nutrition bars, not even free water Wednesday’s. — I don’t think they check that Black Card for the water massage as diligently, which I will be asking for the $ 10/month package if I see it again. Other than that, it’s cool.
