For over the past three years or so, I’ve notice the mobile Mexican food truck business grow and expand in Oxnard… It can be a bit overwhelming to pick and choose a nice spot to eat but I guess it all comes down to preference… TACOSBETO is a taco truck I found in Oxnard about a year ago that’s worth every penny as well as every bite. As i found myself craving some authentic Mexican tacos one cool breezy friday night, I headed to the one place I knew made tacos just right for me… Tacos Beto. It was late that night but they were still open at 11:30PM. I got my usual mix of Asada, Carnitas, and Tripas. I usually ask for the Tripas extra crispy only because I like the crispy texture and enhances the flavor. The condiments are fantastic and for the most part fresh. I hate to exaggerate but the tacos were orgasmic! I just can’t describe them any other way… The Tripas were so crispy and full of flavor. The Asada was tender juicy and chopped perfectly! The Carnitas was ok n tasted fresh. They never, ever disappoint me but again its all preference here… Can’t wait to get back to Oxnard will definitely be goin back to Tacos Beto…2900 Saviers Rd Oxnard, CA93033 is the address closest to it, the name of the street they usually park on is Lark…

The carne asada and chorizo were delicious. The al pastor was disappointing, just flavorless calories there. The grilled onions tasted wonderful and were available in abundance. But no homemade aguas frescas, only canned and bottles drinks. They probably deserve three stars so we’ll let ‘em squeak over the four star line with a 3.44449. 2013 #156 /365
