This was the spot growing up in the 805. Last time I was home in the area I stop there and saw they had a beer I only had in Costa Rica(Imperial) and the had 12 packs of bottles for 8.99! I had to cop one and take it back to the bay area with me. Truly miss this spot. I remember there would always be fine girls there grabbing little stuff on Friday nights before everyone headed out to party… good times!

I absolutely LOVE this place ! It’s run by very friendly people and they always have exactly what I’m looking for. They also have better prices than most places I’ve seen in the area, and they stay open late which makes it super convenient. This is definitely my go-to place for any wine/alcohol purchases.

Very impressed with this place. They had the Becherovka I was searching for and a small microbrew by buddy had been wanting to try. I dont need a BevMo with these guys around The parking lot is a bit shady late at night but otherwise this is a great place with helpful employees and an awesome selection

If you’re looking for some quick and cheap liquid courage before you and your hommies decide to recreate a scene from Boyz in da Hood by popping a cap in some poor bastard all because he stared too long at your girlfriend while at the park in the Colonia, then stick to the nearest 7 – 11 and the special on Pabst Blue Ribbon. On the other hand, if you’ve been bemoaning the fact that the great minds at BevMo refuse to open a location in Ventura county outside of the Conejo and Simi valleys, then the Liquor Cellar is your answer. Plus, by shopping at a store where the employees don’t wear nametags and uniforms, you’ll increase your street cred amongst your snootier friends who call themselves«connoisseurs» of alcohol. More than half of the store floor space is occupied by a decent selection of wines and champagne. While I didn’t get a chance to peruse the numerous hard liquors along the wall behind the counter, I could see they at least had a couple of the harder to find Tequilas. For a liquor store, I was really impressed with their selection of beer(foreign and domestic): local micro brews I hadn’t heard of, a number of different German brews, and they even had Chimay Cinq Tripel!!! So if you’re looking for something that Vons and Ralphs don’t have and you don’t feel like driving out to the valley, then check out the Liquor Cellar… just don’t expect their prices to be the lowest.
