Love love love the food from here!!! First of all, the woman taking orders is super friendly and attentive. Secondly, the number one thing I love from this Chinese food place is that they make your food to order! So when you receive your food, it’s piping hot! I can’t stand cold or lukewarm food and that obviously isn’t a problem here. Annd you have a large menu to choose from! Plus as soon as you walk in you can tell how clean this place is! It’s impeccable. You have to come here to get your Chinese fix! You won’t be disappointed.

The bbq pork was more like bbq pork fat. The orange chicken was small bits of deep fried batter with very little chicken. Used to like this place till they started cutting corners and skimping on everything possible but the price. To bad they’ve changed. I’ll never be back.

Doesn’t matter how far I am, I will make the trip for this meal. I have tried many different Chinese restaurants in Oxnard/Ventura but this one is by far is the best!

A little pricey for the quality of food they deliver. Ive been here a couple times ordered different varieties of chicken«the general, orange, and kung pao.» The chicken always had a little chewyness to it.(Almost thought it was tofu). Keep in mind, MADETOORDER doesnt mean FRESHINGREDIENTS. Great flavors, just need better quality ingredients. –2 stars because they do not have free water for dine in customers. This is HUGE in my book and a big part of CUSTOMERSERVICE.

I like how they cook to order. Food is fresh. It is a little difficult to understand how to order but once you get the hang of it. totally worth it. So much better than panda. You get more food. You help support a local business.

So me and Mr. C ate here about a year ago, and it was pretty decent food. They closed for awhile, which was sad, but then they opened again, and we rejoiced. But we didn’t get a chance to eat here again until tonight. From what I remember before, our food was hot, delicious, and fresh tasting. It took 15 – 20 minutes for it to be finished, but the food was great, and for the price, there was no room to complain. Tonight our meal only took about five minutes to prepare. As we sat in the dining room, we heard the BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! of a microwave. Well, now we know why the wait was much, much shorter than before. To be fair, we also heard the sound of something frying, so we figured maybe they were just heating up the pre-made fried rice or chow mein or something. Once we got home, opened up our containers and dug in, we realized what a mistake we had made. Mr. C got the BBQ Pork, which was obviously a victim of the microwave judging by the rubbery consistency. The walnut shrimp was fried to a crisp — literally. Half of the shrimp were dark brown from being overfried. The sauce had literally no taste — that plus the consistency made it feel like I was eating fried shrimp covered in mucous. EW. The noodles in the chow mein were borderline mushy. The only vegetables in the chow mein were onions and a rare, thin slice of cabbage. And the fried rice? Literally, fried rice. That’s all. No vegetables. No egg. Just rice, fried in oil and seasoned with soy sauce. What kind of #!*& is that? Never again. This place should have just stayed closed.

Much better than I was expecting — I figured this would be a cheap Chinese place with the food already prepared. But they cook everything to order, and are pretty fast. We were getting food to go — got mixed vegetables, Kung Pao chicken, and steamed bbq pork buns. We were impressed at the quality of the ingredients — everything tasted really fresh, and the flavors were good. For some reason the Kung Pao had very little heat, even though it had quite a few peppers in it, but it tasted really good anyway. And I like it when they actually stir fry the peanuts, rather than just tossing some on top afterwards. Looking forward to trying some of their other items.

I love Chinese food, but I found the food here inedible. I have a friend who loves this place and I’ve been here three times with him and the food was just awful to me. The texture and flavors seem completely off.

I don’t understand how this place is still in business, I live right down the street from this establishments & every time I pass by, no on is in there. The rent must be cheap. I’m downgrading this review to a 2 star as it seems the value has taken a nosedive here. I came in & asked how much a 2 item combo was, remembering that my last visit a few years ago it was around $ 6 – 7, which is a fair price. Expecting a small price hike since it’s been a while since I’ve came here, I was shocked when she told me that it was nearly $ 11 for a 2 item combo, we just walked out shaking our head as I cannot & will not be taken advantage of. We headed for the nearest competitor on Saviers & was satisfied with the decision. I had high hopes for this place as the food was slightly above average, but the value is gone & so are my chances of going back.

Like many Chinese spots, they’re menu is super huge and everything looks good. The woman who takes the order is super helpful to provide recommendations. Everything is freshly made when you order! I haven’t had anything bad here so it’s hard to say anything bad but I’ll upload pictures of my favorite items. The tables are really clean, they’re always cleaning and wiping. This place deserves more traffic, still pretty hidden to many. If you search Asian, this place will not appear.

Great food! Unlike most fast food Chinese places where the food is sitting in warmers for a long time, like Panda, this place cooks everything fresh when you order it. The food is great and piping hot! The prices are more than fair, you’ll get huge portions. The place is clean and the service is friendly! Don’t judge this place from the outside, this is a neighborhood gem!

I am picky about my food, I don’t like Chinese food that’s too weighed down with grease and msg. This place makes everything fresh to order! I don’t have to worry about how long it’s been sitting out or strange meat smells. They are a great addition to South Oxnard for options to eat out. The friendliest staff. I can’t wait to enjoy this again and again.

I’m really surprised by all the 5 star reviews this restaurant has received. I mean, it’s not the worst I’ve ever had, but I wouldn’t consider it 5-star Chinese. We ordered the walnut prawns and orange chicken. The prawns were just okay, though my husband said the orange chicken was excellent. He also had chow mein and reported it was ‘horrible’. We both agreed that the fried rice was barely worth even eating. I’d give it two stars but he really loved the orange chicken. The staff WAS fabulously friendly, and the interior was very nicely appointed for such a small ‘take out’ place.

Yay!!! They are back open and the food has not changed! Never disappointed when I come here. Everything is made fresh to order! Their mushroom chicken is my absolute favorite. Orange chicken, sesame chicken, pineapple shrimp are all fantastic as well! Only thing that has changed is now all combos are just one item. If you want an additional item you either order another combo OR al a carte. Normally I would be off put by this but since their food is so damn good I will comply lol They aren’t in the greatest location so I hope this place continues to stay open. Small family business. I would definitely recommend you go here and try one of the tastiest Chinese food places out here in Oxnard!
