I use to be a loyal customer here for 4 years because this is near my boyfriend’s place. I’m posting this review based on one employee that was so rude to me. Everyone else is so sweet and nice. There’s an employee, I think her name is Mayra? She’s brunette and I believe hispanic. But she gave such a horrible attitude. Worst customer service I have had at any video game store. I am not sure if I can come back to this location because she left a bad taste in my mouth. I want to give a one star, but that’s not fair considering the other employees are so friendly. I hope they replace her or train their employees better.

I only go here if I must have it within the day because I live fairly close to this store. Other than that, I avoid this place as much as I can. The staff needs a lesson in customer service. Staff is rude and talk among themselves most of the time. There are way better Gamestops around Ventura County. This one is definitely not one of them.

Went in trying to get a game the dude at the register was swamped, the other girl worker was caring one box, I asked and said I called earlier about a game she reply’s in a bratty annoyed tone«Don’t Ask Me». Waited in line and the Dude helped me out. Won’t be going there again.

I usually avoid this GameStop like the plague. It’s in a bad area with lots of gangbangers and drug addicts, plus its next to the worst Wal-Mart in Ventura County. The place is filthy, stuff is always broken, and the employees can be pretty rude. Normally GameStop employees are some of the nicest people you will meet, but these guys have issues. The place draws some of the worst possible crowds and the lines are so long and take forever. 70% of the used games don’t have cases and manuals because of the area this store is located in. These people obviously don’t take care of their stuff.

I have been here twice the first time the two cashiers seemed more into there conversation than helping the customers I was not greeted when I walked in or when I left. The second time there was only one person and he was stalking shelves and not only did he welcome me but he stopped what he was doing to assist me in finding a game I was looking for.

Unless you’re one of the regulars, this place is garbage. The customer service is very bad.

This is more a review on Gamestop as a chain. Although I have been to this particular store it found it to be just as pleasing as all the others. I like Gamestop. It is nice to have a store devoted solely to gaming. A big plus to a gaming store is the employees. I have never gone into a gamestop and not found an employee who was un-knowledgeable in the field of video games. Sure there is a chance that the person you talk to has not played the exact game you are talking about, but for the most part they know a lot. I have often called just to ask questions on games, accessories, release dates, ect. It is also nice to have a place with such a large variety of new and used games. You can also trade in games you don’t want anymore, but usually for 1⁄5th the original cost. If you frequent gamestops do not forget to join the club they have, this saves you money on trade-ins, used games, and usually comes with a free year magazine subscription.
