When the inlaws come in town, we’re always looking for new ways to keep the family busy and in the holiday spirit. This year we went to the Channel Islands Harbor Parade of Lights. Big hit! Even though we arrived a half an hour before the parade was due to start, there was plenty of parking and places to plant yourself. Everyone was in a festive mood and locals were driving around in lighted, decorated golf carts. I had my eye out for fellow Unilocaler Jack F. This looked like his kind of fun! There were lots of boats with lights that remained docked. But the one’s in the parade went all out. Lots of Santa Claus’ and holiday tunes. And the lighted Santa and sleigh flying over the harbor were a big hit. We’ve all agreed to add this to our annual festivals to attend every year!
