Bright Stars Academy

This school is on a beautiful campus! The Director and teachers are really nice. I like that the staff ages vary. Some are young and spunky will others are older and well versed in all things «kid». I like that they have fun activities and events for parents to get involved. I like to bring my child here and still be involved. This school let’s me do that!

Ive been sending my daughter the Bright Stars since she was 2 years old. It has always been a wonderful, loving environment. All of the teachers know all of the kids names and are very attentive. My daughter is 4 and is writing and is starting to read. This is a testament to the wonderful care and educational focus they have there. Every year they have a Christmas pageant, Easter egg hunt, trick or treating and other wonderful activities. The director Ms. Deanna is absolutely wonderful and I can’t imagine sending my daughter anywhere else.

Where should I start! Parents do not bring your precious kids to this place! This place is unsanitary, undestaffed and unsafe. I enrolled my son when he was three and only lasted there a few months. He was always getting sick, he was always hungry when I picked him up even tho he was enrolled in the schools lunch program, I packed him snacks, juice and water everyday and even dropped him off with breakfast a lot of the mornings. His diaper was always dirty when I picked him up. This whole building is cleaned by only one lady!!! The whole building!!! but what really did it for me was when my son was placed in the playground with older kids unattended and was bullied. At the tender age of three he didn’t know how to defend himself, talk or even know what was going on. I don’t blame the kids who did this I blame the staff because not only was my son not suppose to be placed with older kids at the same time at the playground but he should have been watched. My sons diaper and clothes were completely stuffed with both wet and dry sand. Never did I receive an explanation as to how or why this happened. I am so incredibly disappointed and sad I or no one else was there to help or protect my baby boy. I have both pictures and videos as proof and I am currently going thru a lawyer because no child should suffer this treatment especially when us as parents pay good money and trust the school to keep our babies safe. Teachers here are really nice and caring! I really like the effort and emphasis on the education, especially the Pre-​K/​Kindergarten class has a very thought-​out curriculum to improve reading and writing. My son gets homework to do too and this is not something I’m so fond of given I do not remember having homework when I went to preschool! However, I’m sure this will be very helpful for my son when he goes to 1^st grade next year.
