OHMY. I was craving Mexican food and this place surpassed my wildest dreams. It’s Oaxacan cuisine, which I’m no expert in, but all the food is rich in flavor and everything is cooked to perfection. It’s a hole-in-the wall place with pictures and cultural figures of Oaxaca. They also had such friendly service, I wanted to take the chef home with me! We ordered the chicken and carnitas empanadas, mole con pollo, tamal oaxaqueno, torta carnitas, which came with free chips and salsa. The salsa was spicey but I just couldn’t stop eating it! Thankfully the horchata relieved the spicy. Their horchata has to be the best horchata I’ve tasted. It has a thicker consistency which I loved. Every single dish was so flavorful, our eyes lit up every time we tried something. It’s definitely a unique twist on Mexican food, which I prefer better. Definitely bringing my foodie friends and family here. Me and my friend already picked what we’re having for next time!

Small place but clean and very Mexican looking. Horchata: Delicious and creamy but more of a milkshake rather than an «agua» Grasshoppers: Good, a bit too much lime Camarones a la diabla: A bit too much lime beans were delicious! Kids Quesadilla: Big! Steak: Good flavor but paper thin All in all if I was in the area I would eat here again but to drive from where I live? It wasn’t that great.

A must visit in Oxnard! What an incredible Oaxacan cultural treasure this place is… the mini-mall gives off a real shady vibe, but don’t worry this place is the BOMB. Eat the semita with milanesa and queso Qaxaca… an incredible sandwich that will change your life. The bread is crusty, the cheese authentic, yuuuummm! Also for a unique experience, order the clayuda. It’s like a gigantic mexican pizza, but on a huge flour tortilla. There are 3 different meats you can order: tazajo(kind of like think beef jerky), cecina, and chorizo. HERE’S THETIP: ask for all three and you can enjoy each new flavor on your clayudo. The salsa is to die for… ask to buy a cup to take home. So reasonable at around $ 3. The owner is very friendly and their are photos on the wall of each dish to make ordering easy. Just do it!

Their horchata is a crime. It shouldn’t be so damn addictive. Their tacos were also top notch.

Can’t believe this place is down the street… This hole in the wall establishment is aamazzingg. BESTHORCHATAEVER! The salsa its a hit very spicy, flavorful. First bite; heat wave going back for more and more… At this point you’re in salsa land! I been to other Mexican restaurants to try the horchata. Glad to say, I found the place(we found the place) First time having Oaxaqueña food, it’s a mixture of sweet and spices. Price range-It’s in your budget. Advice; TIPWELL!

Not that long ago i ordered tlayudas from there, and the meat was rotten, we didn’t notice until we got home because we order to go. Most disgusting place and the people arennot even from Oaxaca that own it.

I cannot begin to say how amazing the food is here. It’s a small place, not dirty but rather old. If you want a great meal you must try this little gem. I had the chicken empanadas and a Horchata. Let me say without a doubt this was the best Horchata I’ve ever had. It’s creamy and not watered down by any means. The Chicken empanadas are to die for. Every bite was perfect. My fiancé had the Carnitas Torta and loved every bite. I can’t wait to go back and eat some more.

Great place to come eat with family and enjoy great Mexican cuisine! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now, whenever I come I always order the asada cemita. It’s really really good! The restaurant is not in a great location and its considered to be in the«ghetto» by some people but aside from that you should definitely stop by!

The spices in the fajita plates were super well blended. Steamy homemade corn and flour tortillas blanketed my camarones mix plate so deliciously in this summer heat. Pair that with a corona or horchata and you’ll feel like a new person. Self serve salsas… what more do you need for a quick, satisfying bite?

This place is legit! First time having the Cayuda and it was awesome. I also ordered their chicken tamales which were fresh and full of chicken. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Wish their was a spot like this in LA as I would be eating there all the time. Prices are right, and the two ladies working provided great service and were very nice. I’m already looking forward to the next time I’m in Oxnard so I can eat here!!!

I come here all the time and I love this place. It is my favorite restaurant. I love their thick tortilla chips, the mole negro, memelitas, enmoladas, enfrijoladas, empanadas de pollo y queso, and tlayudas con tasajo. They also have really yummy agua de jamaica. If you want amazing food, come here. Well worth the drive from Ventura.

What a great little spot. I’ve been hearing so many great things about this place from all my friends. So glad I finally dropped by. Not the ideal location, but that’s because I’m from the north side and this area is a bit of a ways. Great service and had ample seating area. We got there after the lunch rush so there was only a few other diners. Ordered the Tlayuda(highly recommended by friends) with 3 different kinds of meat. That’s the best way to get it. Definitely out of this world and unlike anything I’ve ever eaten before. It basically looks like a pizza. We decided to shred all the meat then fold it in half and then cut into three pieces. One tlayuda fed 3 people and we were all quiet satisfied. I got the tamarindo drink and my friends got an horchata. I have to say that their horchata is hands down THE best I’ve ever tasted in my life. That’s coming from someone who’s had it in Mexico and even Guatemala. I will definitely be back to try other dishes. Based on the photos they have posted, it all looked mighty appetizing.

We ordered mole negro, cemita poblana with ham, one taco al pastor, and a glass-bottle of Coca Cola. Very good food and nice service. Freshly-made chips and smoky, roasted salsa come prior to the meal. Next time we will try the tlayudas. Not the cleanest place but definitely legit.
