We went on a weeknight when they were not so busy. We sat outside on the patio which is nice atmosphere. The hotty toddy balls dipped in each dressing were wonderful. Ordered the cap rear salad which was average. My husband had the chicken stew which was spicy and very very tasty. The best part was the margarita on the rocks. They also serve frozen and variations of the traditional flavor. The margarita alone was worth going back. Plates with traditional Greek food around us looked amazing and with a try next visit. The one stain in the evening were the family sitting next to us with one smoking a cigar and one smoking a cigarette and two kids at their table. Not sure why smoking around food is still allowed in Oxford? Thank goodness other diners complained to the family and they refrained from smoking for the second half of our meal.

A little off the beating path, Volta(especially their patio) is a gift from the Greek gods. The pimento cheese and hummus plate paired with one of their signature margaritas has become a staple in my weekend routine!

Unlike Angela Merkle’s Greek Austerity plan, this place is really good. Not like dirty street food good, but more like I have two moms and they like to experiment in the kitchen and bedroom really good. Frozen mojitos are super good. There Hummus is Jonah Hill quality. The lamb and swine is fantastic. You ever wish you had two moms so you could watch them make out and stuff? Is that weird? If it is then it’s weird and hot at the same time. Like women who wear onesy bathing suits. It’s like«I don’t know what the hell is going on here nor there, but I think I like it». Let’s go with the constellation rationale here and say that when your two moms make out in Greece it is cool, man. Greek food and moms are the best.

Really good service and really good food! Had the traditional gyro and it was delicious. The food came out extremely fast, despite it being a really busy night! The Hotty Toddy balls are terrific!

Great food, great taste, not so great parking. Also, some of the pricing seems a bit unnecessary to me like how the gyros don’t come with fries(or any sides for that matter)& they have to be ordered separately for nearly $ 3. I was expecting some sort of combo option like at most places, but oh well. Everything worked out, and my meal was good. All in all it was a good experience; courteous staff, clean restaurant, plenty of food to leave you full for a while. Would definitely recommend!

Those falafels do not even count as falafels. Literally the worst falafels of all time. This is sad but PITAPIT has better falafels than this poor excuse for a Mediterranean restaurant. Get your shit in check please.

Stopped by on the way through town based on the high reviews on Unilocal. While the Hotty Toddy balls were great, the gyros were just average. Overall good experience, but it seems everything on the menu is about 2 bucks overpriced. $ 10 for the balls, $ 7+ each for the gyros, not including sides. A good spot for an occasional meal, but if you’re looking for the best Oxford has to offer, I’d look elsewhere.

Good things were the tasty humus and pita bread. Just ok were their $ 9 fallafel. And its little yougart sauce Their prices were a bit high charging $ 9 for ½ cup of humous. Service was just ok. ‚ I would put volta in a $$ category.

I think Volta is slightly over priced which is why I’m giving 4 stars and not 5. The food is incredible and nothing beats their deck on a nice day. Try the Hotty Toddy balls. They’re absurdly good.

Hotty Toddy balls are amazing! It’s like some took a loaded baked potato rolled em up and deep fried em so good for an appetizer and there’s plenty with their serving! The Lamb & beef gyros were also very good although it was extra to add feta cheese which seemed odd to me at a Greek restaurant. But they were loaded with all kinds of meat, definitely hits the spot when craving some Greek food!

Volta is an excellent stop on your way to the square. The food here is swell, but is a little pricey. The half priced margaritas are an unbelievable deal, so take advantage of that gorgeous patio and drink your cares away. Love the servers here, they are so helpful and awesome. Hooray Volta! Always a good time.

Best margaritas in town! Love their Greek salad too! Only set back is it’s a Mecca for mommies who need a break and let their kids run wild. I get it. I really do. Good ‘ritas and cheap, good eats… it’s a place to check out when you are spent for the day. But while you are checking out, I am trying to decompress too and it doesn’t make for nice. Go late and enjoy!

There’s nothing better than their margaritas or their pimento cheese(it’s literally sent from above) They have something for everyone, from classic Greek gyros to cheese fries, no complaints here!

Had lunch with a couple of locals. Not a bad gyro, good flavor, kinda greasy, meet was a bit thick and chunky, thinner longer slices would have made a better gyro sandwich. The homemade chips were good. All was definitely fresh and hot off the grill. Nice décor, gest atmosphere. Roll up garage doors during nice spring day. I’ll be back

Margaritas were stout and delicious. Falafel was moist. The sauces with the souvlaki(pork) were sooooo good. Nice warmed bread.

Pretty decent quick lunch. The souvlaki wrap was anything but authentic but it was fresh, hot and the meat was tender. The falafel was shaped like a hush puppy as was borderline gross. Not a good flavor and was mushy and undercooked inside. Would not recommend the falafel. Hummus was decent if unremarkable. The only hot sauce they had was sriracha. Fine I guess but I’d rather have Tabasco on hummus. Things like feta are extra which seems odd to me for a supposed Greek place. Candace had a drink that was not good but I’m told the margaritas are good. I would come back as the wrap was very good and the service was attentive and friendly.

I found this place through Unilocal. It was delicious, greasy Mediterranean diner food served in a former gas station. I had the souvlaki wrap with marinated pork, sauteed onions, and horseradish mayo. It was very flavorful. Partner had the black bean wrap and seemed to like it. We split a side of the cheese fries that had real cheese melted on it. Good service. There were lots of families and groups enjoying the food. A bachelorette party came in to partake. Accepts credit cards.

I always get the falafel wrap and add mushroom and feta. It’s really good, and the service is great even when there’s a crowd. HIGHLY, HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHEMARGARITA!

Excellent food, good service and a good atmosphere. Had a nice lunch here post-graduation with the family. The bartender was friendly and helpful while we waited, waitress was nice and service was speedy once we were seated! The food was also delicious and hit the spot. Something for everyone! All Greek/Mediterranean themed. Hummus/pimento appetizer plate and Greek pizza are my recommendations!
