Love Oxford Kroger. The staff has been helpful and the selection is great for what I need. It’s happened several times that the check out lines are all occupied and flor personnel always directs me to a closed lane and radios help– it’s awesome and very kind(they do this moments before my fuse expires). My only suggestion for improvement is to stock up on more items, because when MU students are here things run out quickly.

The Pros: A very good«bougie» Kroger for such a small town. Thank you, students! Olive bars, fresh sushi, Starbucks, and international specialty items like lemon grass and sesame oil(thank you international students!). Aisle signs in Mandarin and English! A big hippy dippy section! The staff are very nice and friendly. The Cons: In the past, the raw meat has been very spotty. I go for local meat at the farmer’s market or Moon Co-op at this point. Can be overloaded with students at times(as with the rest of Oxford). Choose your shopping times wisely!

Quality Kroger store! Fresh produce, always stocked with product and very helpful staff. It’s always usually really clean and easy to navigate. I have to admit I shop almost exclusively at Kroger(since my husband works for the company) and even so I’m impressed by the quality that Kroger produces. Their produce is ALWAYS better and fresher than Wal-Mart. You pay for what you get and at Kroger you’re definitely getting quality!

George in the deli makes the best Western Omelet! We stopped in for a couple of supplies and saw a few people at the deli so we went over to investigate. He sautéed the onions and bell peppers a little before adding them to the omelet! Yummy!

Well, it’s better than Wal-Mart! Actually, it’s a pretty good store. I mean, it’s no Wegmans, but if that’s the standard, nobody wins.

Best breakfast for the price in town… If you like omelets on the weekends it is where we go… They sever bacon, biscuits, gravey, and omelets made to your choice, with in reason. Good stuff… There is also a Starbucks right there too

I’m impressed! I guess for this small town I was expecting a small Kroger with limited supply. Nope, not here! Oxford Kroger had a great selection. The store was easy to navigate. U-Scan kiosk available.

They have so so prices. The beer selection was fair, but not commendable. The Miami store is a complete waste of space. Please place some food there. I have had two bad experiences with their meats. One was a Kroger brand pork loin so over injected with saline that it was slimy to the touch. I could not pick the thing up. I had a distressing conversation at deli. Me: I would like some imported swiss cheese. Deli: We don’t have any imported we have baby, low sodium, or lactose free swiss. Me: Isn’t lactose a vital ingredient in milk? Deli: Ahhh? Me: So you don’t have any regular swiss cheese? Deli: We have baby, low sodium, or lactose free swiss. Me: Could you have someone come around the front and take down the. sign that says«Delicatessen»? I wasn’t asking for aged goats milk or manchego. I was looking for regular swiss cheese. If you cant’ stock a basic cheese don’t call it a deli… put up a sign that says«Ham slicing area.» A little competition would do wonders. Jungle Jim’s is just a little too far away.

I don’t shop here normally as much as I do Wal-Mart, but I do love many of the people here and it is probably the better of the two stores in terms of service to customers. There are a number of hard workers, although there are also a number of rude workers that have been there for a number of years and need to leave. Nonetheless, these few people are few and far between. I do feel like at times some of the check-out lanes move too slow, due to conversations between the cashier and customer. While I understand it is important to make customers feel appreciated, sometimes people are in a hurry and it is important to move the line at a steady pace. Note: I did use to work here, so that might bias my view a bit, but I still feel it is important to be honest about my impressions.

One of the many reasons I look forward to visiting my parents in Oxford, OH is the convenience and full service offered at this Kroger which is right down the road from the Knolls of Oxford where they live. Everything you need is under one roof. The people who work there are so helpful and enthusiastic that you would think they all had part ownership. My husband usually does the grocery shopping where we live in Florida, but while we’re up in Oxford, I’m happy to do it. I’ve never reviewed anything on Unilocal, but I read the other favorable comments about this Kroger and just thought I would chime in! Good job, Kroger! Marilyn Naples, Florida

Always fun to review a non-restaurant on Unilocal! This is a great Kroger. Far, far above average. It’s big and well stocked and employs smiling, friendly people. There’s a little mini Miami University store in the middle, too, which makes sense for Oxford. The thing that makes it especially nice is that it’s totally not what you’d expect in a town like Oxford. Like I said, it’s big and well stocked. They have a «beer cave» you can walk in to as well as a reach-in with a pretty impressive selection of beers. There is a fairly extensive wine section, too. There’s plenty of fruit(at decent prices). I love to go in and see the old folks hanging out at the coffee shop inside — it just cracks me up that they hang out at the grocery store. This is a better Kroger than the one near my house!

I would not normally review grocery stores. Most big-box grocery stores are inconsistent and not very notable in many ways. However, I have finally found a big-box grocery store both worth reviewing and continuing to grace with my presence. This is a large-town grocery store in a small town. There’s a gas station in front, as well as a pharmacy, bakery, deli — you know, the usual for a supermarket. One thing that set this place apart from everything else is their expansive selection of cheese — think Jungle Jim’s on a small scale. You can get cheese from Canada, Norway, Switzerland, the Middle East — even Asia. It’s quite impressive, coming from somebody who loves their cheese. Their organic selection is also impressive, considering that Oxford is a very liberal, conscientious town. I always buy organic bananas, even though it’s 30% more expensive than regular bananas. Finally, their salad bar — just wow. I realize salad bars are a trendy thing to put in a supermarket these days, but this is amazing. I sometimes see Oxford 5 – 0 eating lunch at the salad bar, which is quite diverse and large. Yes, Oxford is a college town, so a beer selection is obligatory. I seem to remember their biggest specialty being wine, but they do also have an expansive collection of beer for those who have not developed a taste for beer, such as Natty Light and Busch Light. Overall, I left this grocery store quite impressed. If you come here, you are going to what is easily the best supermarket in town.

TRUESTORY: My wife was 9 months pregnant and we always went grocery shopping on Sundays. We were doing our normal thing and all of a sudden my wife had to go to the bathroom. A few minutes later she calls saying we have to go to the hospital because her water broke, in Kroger! I saw the nearest employee and told him what was up and asked him to kindly put our few groceries away. He had no problem doing it and was excited! Our daughter was born a few hours later. This Kroger can be a bit pricier compared to others around but I think it is simply because it is in Oxford which is a college town. This store has a great produce section and overall a much better selection since they upgraded. Great place!

For a small-town Kroger, I was amazed by this location. First of all, their salad bar is just the bee’s knees! It was very fresh and well-designed. I especially enjoyed the sliced kiwi and jalapeño peppers. Shockingly, those two items are absent from most grocery-store salad bars. Next is their awesome Organic section. Its much larger than that of any Kroger I can remember visiting. Finally, the staff were all genuinely interested in helping you however they could. Weighing my salad on the U-SCAN machine was really complicated at first, and the assistant took her time in educating me on its functionality. Great job, Oxford Kroger!
