This pizza was very close to the real New York pizza. Thumbs up on this establishment!!!

I was really looking forward to having some good pizza here, after reading the reviews. Sadly, the pizza was bland and slightly chemical tasting(probably the pepperoni) and the dough is NOT freshly made. They defrost some prepackaged dough and toss it around to make it appear that it’s freshly made, but it’s not. The fries were grossly undercooked and gross too. Bleh …

Bummed! Tried new food to see what else Brookside had to offer… hoping we would have a better go around. Better cooking for sure and much more timely since we used UnilocalEat… Penne Alla Vodka, tasted like thick tomato sauce, which is fine but not what I was expecting. Wished for a light vodka cream sauce as described… really lacked flavor… pasta was cooked well though. Red clam sauce with linguine, bland. We debated with white sauce vs. red and maybe we should have had the white. Pasta cooked well again. Garlic knots, yummy! Two stars because pasta sauce makes the dish and both sauces were lacking. Sad, but we will try again and hope we just ordered less then the best items.

Always good! Had a veggie slice and a Greek salad. Customer service is always on. Service is fast and was able to catch a glimpse of the game on the few small flat screens. Greek salad is so big you can take most of it to go

Finally came back here after several years in a desert of non-bbq pizza. We got two slices of the BBQ Chicken pizza. The slices are standard size: 1⁄8 of an XL pie. Unfortunately, the bbq-ness of the pizza was sacrificed for expedition. They simply took normal cheese and covered it with chicken bits and bbq sauce. I was hoping they’d do a bit more to maintain the unique quiddity of BBQ. The chicken was cooked too far. Probably held to 170 internal temp. Compare this to the optimal French cooking standard of 153 °F. It also lacked the complex charred flavors of the plancha/grill. The mouthfeel was generic: dry/chalky and lacking the essential poultry flavor profile. The BBQ sauce is nice: a savoury aroma of mollasesfied sweet and tangy stickiness that lovingly embraced the chicken strips and pizza cheese alike. The pie itself is an excellent take on NY pizza. Thin, properly sauced, and with decent cheese blendly. Though, the cheese was not quite savoury enough for my preference. Overall a good slice of pie. Not quite 4 stars due to the careless preparation of the poultry. Try it again, Brookside.

When I am tired of Papa Johns, I opt for real pizza from Brookside. The pizza is the best you can get in Owings Mills. I ordered an extra large cheese pizza and fries. The pizza was served hot and the crust was chewy. The cheese was tasty and it was not that greasy. Inside the restaurant, you can watch three televisions which are usually tuned into a sporting event. The fries were served without salt and they are not the skinny type of fry. If you want dessert, have some gelato or a cannoli. There are other options that I have not had in a while, but they were tasty and I always return here.

ME and my office staff are very close to this place and order here for lunch once a week. I always order the buffalo chicken pizza or traditional styles like pepperoni, sausage or combination by the slice. But I love the pizza, haven’t been disappointed yet, excited to try there other dishes as well!!!

Great atmosphere, great New York personality great replica of a new York themed pizza corner spot. I ordered three slices of pizza veggie pizza with ricotta cheese mozzarella cheese broccoli and tomatoes on it. It was interesting not by far one of my future preferences. The second pizza was buffalo chicken with onions cheddar cheese mozzarella or parm cheese and swirls of delicious BBQ sauce. In my opinion none of these pizzas come close to the freshness and delightfulness of the pizza at peace a pizza in Catonsville. This pizza spot can have the characterless dough and heart stopping cheesy greasy topping. I thought we have ascended to to not your average daring pizzas 2 years ago why settle for mediocrity. If I’m ever curious of the unknown again while trying doughnuts from fractured prune I may venture in to try their Gelato, salad, dessert or NY style sandwiches hopefully a life will be found.

My parents are from NY and they absolutely love Brookside, so it was no surprise when I met my mom for lunch and she recommended we go here. Brookside does remind me of NY pizza in terms of style, and the slices are more sizable than other areas. The prices are higher, which is something I’ve noticed across the board in MD. Even when I lived in Philly I’d stop into a local city pizza joint for lunch and would snag a $ 5 lunch special. Here it was around $ 6.50 for 2 plain cheese slices and a drink, and when I asked for one slice of plain cheese and one slice of white pizza(with spinach and ricotta) it was another 75 cents. So we’re talking over 7 bucks for 2 slices and a soda. The white slice was pretty good, I thought. I would definitely order that again. The cheese slice was okay. I feel like something in terms of the flavor is lacking a little bit. I ended up loading it up with grated parm, garlic and crushed red pepper. It’s not bad, it’s just not the be all end all, in my opinion. But given my parents affinity for it, if you’re a New Yorker you may want to check it out.

Let’s face it, there are two cities that are known for their pizza– Chicago, with its stuffed pizza and New York City where going to get a «slice» is akin to a worship experience. I have lived in both cities and have a love for each of their respective pizza offerings yet I must admit an affinity for the thin, yet large slices of pizza popular in NYC. Brookside comes very close to some of my favorite Big Apple pizza and the fact that they deliver to my neighborhood is an added plus.

If you’re looking for good pizza in the Owings Mills area this is a good bet. I’ve never been disappointed with my food or the level of service. Staff is friendly and efficient. You can get pizza by the slice(except close to closing time) which is nice if the whole family doesn’t want pizza. They have a great selection of pizza toppings, they have delicious fresh salads, and tons of pasta, sandwich, and novelty options. The house dressing is a thin, flavorful oil based dressing that complements any salad. You can eat in or get it to go. I’ve never been given an estimated pick up time longer than 20 minutes. Reasonably priced.

They have anchovies, a lot of places don’t — awesome. Expecting the pizza to be just as good.

I’ve been on a hunt for good Pizza in Owings Mills, and everything disappointed me except for this place. Brick oven pizza is hard to find in these parts and these people do it pretty well. It’s not quite NYC quality, but it’s close. Delivery is fast. Pizza by the slice is pretty convenient. If I had one gripe it would be that the online menu doesn’t seem to match up with the real menu. Specifically, the online menu states that blue cheese is on the buffalo chicken pizza, and that is not the case. Not sure about what other inaccuracies there might be, but it’s only a little bit annoying. I was stuck with Papa Johns for a long time and I have finally been set free. Thank you, Brookside.

Pretty good pizza with tasty cheese and sauce. Staff friendly and interior clean. Like that they sell by the slice too. I enjoy that they aren’t a chain and have the family and local vibe going. Def returning for more.

Not quite what it used to be when they opened in New Town. On a positive note, they sell pizza by the slice – great for kids

Big menu, great variety. You can try something different each time and go a long time before getting through everything. Everything I’ve had from here, so far, is excellent. I love this place!(I am super picky when it comes to pizza and this place passes my test!) They’ll gladly accommodate anything you want, so if there’s not enough sauce or cheese for your personal taste, just ask and they’ll take care of you. I think the pizza is delicious — veggies are fresh, the pepperoni pizza is a little greasy but that’s probably normal for pepperoni… the subs are pretty good too, and the appetizers I’ve tried(calamari, mozzarella sticks) are good. My one suggestion is that, if you order the Sicilian pizza, make sure to ask them to cook it a bit longer, otherwise it’s doughy in the middle. It often takes a little longer than you’d expect, but in my opinion the quality of the food makes it worth the wait. One of the best parts is that we’ve been there several times(eat in and pick up) and they’ve never gotten our order wrong. Eating in you see just how busy they are, with a pretty much constant flow of people picking up their orders. We happen to live across the street so it’s very convenient for us, but having just moved to the area we’re very excited to have found«our» pizza place on our first day in town.

Had an old gift certificate thing(which the staff seemed pretty confused by) for this place so picked up a large cheese pizza and a caesar salad for dinner. The pizza was pretty good, a pretty thin crust but substantial enough that it wasn’t saturated in grease. Minimal sauce, which seems to bother others but I’m ok with it. The caesar salad, on the other hand, was awful. The lettuce was fresh, but the dressing was incredibly gross. Not sure if it was homemade or from a bottle, but, it tasted sour and also extra vinegar-y, and it probably was the worst dressing I’ve ever had.
