Greatly enjoyed this hotel, from check-in to check-out. The individuals at the breakfast area, Angie and Alex, were extremely friendly and Angie even gave our two year old some cheetos. Check in was a breeze, as it was online. We walked in, gave the last name, and our room and room keys were ready for us. Wifi was fast for complimentary. Good location, although it was kind of bad that 60 east onramp was closed, not their fault though. The only complaint I had was that the pillows were kind of flat. There wasn’t support within them, but I could overlook it and really enjoy my time here.

On a recent Friday night, I was promptly greeted in the lobby reception area. Check-in was smooth. Main floor room was neat and clean. Not the quietest place I’ve ever stayed, but not particularly noisy, either. Breakfast included ham and eggs. The parking lot is not particularly large, but there appeared to be at least some open spaces around the perimeter. I’d stay again, for sure.

First time staying here and I was pleasantly surprised. Check in was smooth. Staff super friendly. I will admit, the carpet in the hallways gave it that«cheap but trying to look expensive» look. I was a little worried as we looked for our room. We got a double-queen suite and it was awesome. Large room. Excellent quality beds and linens. Clean and nicely furnished. Felt like I paid twice the price! Breakfast was great too! Overall I would definitely recommend it.

I would like to start off by saying that the staff at Hampton Inn is incredible. They are friendly, accommodating and efficient. I asked to check in early — they had my room ready when I arrived. My problems come with the state of the facility itself. It looks like it has been newly remodeled. and is beautiful! However I experienced several issues in my room. When I arrived the refrigerator was off and I was unable to get it to turn on myself because the knob was broken. Maintenance had to come and help — he was amazingly helpful. However, I do feel like something like this should be checked regularly and maintained. I stayed in a suite — I liked the way that it was set up with a separate bedroom. I do not think that the sliding wooden doors are appropriate for such an updated hotel. Also, the mirrored doors on the closets were quite outdated. Another issue I encountered was that the coffee table in the«living room» had very wobbly legs and sat askew. When I tried to adjust them I was nervous that they would just fall off. Not impressed. Finally, during my stay an entire symphony was staying in the building as well. While I understand the need to practice perhaps the hotel is not the place. I had a violinist next door to me that played for HOURS. This went on into the evening and was not comfortable for this weary business traveler. Apparently many of the musicians were very young because I also had to deal with giggly gossipy teenagers outside my door for most of the night(some on the phone … some just socializing). While the staff was fantastic … I think I will try the other Hampton Inn the next time I am in Owensboro.

When I checked in the staff was very efficient. When I asked them for a good place to eat they didn’t steer me wrong(Moonlite BBQ). It was a great recommendation and all the staff agreed it was the best place to eat to get dinner. I asked when breakfast started and they said 6AM. I mentioned that was disappointing since I would be getting up at 4:30AM. They said that most of the food wouldn’t be ready but they would give me some breakfast bars instead. When I went to the lobby the next morning at 5:15AM, to my surprise I found breakfast was fully ready. I don’t know if they asked someone to come in earlier just for me and my colleagues but I was grateful to have a nice breakfast that early!

I’ve stayed here several times on business since it was recently remodeled and think of it as my «home away from home» in Owensboro. I most recently stayed in May 2011. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable(but I have never stayed on the freeway side). The lobby/breakfast area is nice, inviting, and a pleasant place to work if you don’t want to stay in your room. The complimentary breakfast is good and the staff is extraordinarily helpful and welcoming. The hotel is well-located to shopping, restaurants, and downtown.

A decent hotel in Owensboro. They actually are renovating the lobby right now but I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and were pretty nice for a Hampton. A solid choice and a cheap room rate, I think like $ 89.
