Sunflower Maids

I found Sunflower Maids on the web. I needed a reliable cleaning company that could handle everything I could throw at them. I manage over 600 properties. The ease of online scheduling along with the open communication from management and the cleaners themselves really sets them apart from other companies I have used and I have used a lot. The most impressive thing is their integrity. I have over-​bid a few jobs and they text to let me know they are charging less after walking through and gauging the scope of work. Great service all around.

Their very well designed web site makes booking them easy, and sends a confirmation that your booking was successful. Honestly I initially booked them because their web site is to the standards I’d expect in this day and age.
The maids themselves arrived about five minutes early and two members of the team immediately started cleaning while one member of the team went over any specific requests I had. They cleaned for a little less than four hours. Overall we were very pleased with the quality of the cleaning. Our home has two long-​haired cats so fur, dust, etc. is an incredible challenge. I asked that they focus on dust/​fur, including cleaning a very large cat tree we have, and they did so, cleaning under the bed and in nooks and crannies. All of the HVAC return covers were also vacuumed. My wife noted that they did a 90% job of thoroughly cleaning our toilet: it appeared quite clean but on further inspection the upper portion of the inside of the bowl still needed to be scrubbed. Not a huge deal but it’s a detail that some people would get upset about. They did not move our appliances (refrigerator or stove), which I’ve noted some cleaning services do, and some don’t, so if you want that you may need to ask for it specifically. We did note that our basin kitchen sink, which we struggle to get to «look» clean, was spotless, and a bright white we didn’t even know was possible since we’d moved in.
We’d love to have them clean every month (or week!) but we can’t afford regular service, so we’ve had them do a deep clean (an additional $ 49) every few months.

I never expected getting a beautifully cleaned home would be so easy. Pick up the phone, answer a few easy questions and set the date you want your house cleaned. Voila! That’s it. The crew arrived right on time, did a beautiful job, and even cleaned areas I never dreamed a maid service would do. I’m thrilled with Sunflower Maids and plan on having my house cleaned monthly. I never thought I could afford such a luxury, but I can.

I have had Sunflower come to my house for several months now, and have been really delighted by their great customer service (your emailed concerns and comments always get a swift and professional reply) AND by how clean my home gets. My cleaning person is Nicole and she is wonderful – does a beautiful job and is kind to my child and pets :).
Michael from Customer Service is always on-​the-​ball, and one more bonus: I get occasional discounts to take advantage of when rebooking services.

The best part about this service is the ease of ordering through their online portal. I think this is what sets them apart from other cleaning services in the KC metro area.
The people who cleaned my house were two women who came at 8:00 a.m. and finished at around noon. I ordered a 2 bedroom/​2 bathroom clean and they were thorough with their checklist. They keep me up to date with phone calls when I am out of the house.
Overall I am satisfied with the cleaning job they did. They managed to get that pet odor smell from my sofa and chair in the living room (which I tried doing several times but failed). The smell of the house is a mild industrial smell, which is great. It smells clean, but not overwhelming.
