I shop here for work. If work didn’t pay for it, I would go to WalMart due to the extremely inflated prices on some very BASIC items. For instance, a plain black binder, approximately 8X6 (smaller than 81÷2×11) is over $ 6 here but is only $ 2.99 at WalMart. My other pet peeve is the lack of «purchase order» skill I have found at this location over the years. I can count on a fifteen minute ordeal ending with a manager having to come and ring in the purchase order info.
On the flip side, they have loads of inventory and just about anything I could want for the office. I will keep coming here for this reason.

In Overland Park on business. Broke my laptop screen. Popped in to see if their service technician could assist in diagnosing if other problems, and to see about getting a cheap screen or a rental. No rental. Several decent cheap options. However, more importantly, there was a technician, he was very keen to help. He did a couple of quick tests to triage, and it turned out there were bigger problems than just the screen. That said, it was very helpful to get their assistance on short notice and in a professional and friendly manner.

This is an example of how a big, big chain can offer the best quality office products at very low prices. Customer service is very good. The printing department is still a bit iffy — the staff seems a bit baffled by many printing jobs. By contrast, a big plus for Office Depot is their Rewards Program. Many Rewards Program seem to be just a promotion that provides very little to me. But the Office Depot sends me Cash Rewards that don’t expire. This saves me real money.

I’ve been here many times and bought many things… I suppose it was only today when I couldn’t find the two things that I needed, that I thought to review the place.
They only had map pins in Office Depot colors (red/​black/​white) and they had no laser printers under $ 89. Got both things I needed at Office Max, and they even honored the Office Max coupon I was carrying in my pocket.
So, this review is for all the other days you guys got it right. :-)
