This poor excuse for a Johnny’s has now changed owners to Callahan’s. We came in hoping for improvement. Wow what a disappointment! No changes to the interior, staff, food quality, service, Etc. The glasses even still say Johnny’s. The only difference is now the unfriendly waitress hands you a Callahan’s menu instead of a Johnny’s menu. There is a reason why Johnny’s went out of business and Callahan’s won’t last long if the only change is in the name.

A great neighborhood bar that has excellent service and great food. We often have the large group of friends there, specifically for high school sports, and they do a great job working with us. Tim and his crew are excellent! Go North Mustangs!

The Sunday Night Special is Chicken Fried Steak or Chicken Fried Chicken. I went with the Steak and was glad I did. It was the best Chicken Fried Steak I have had in a long time. The Mashed Potatoes had a hint of Garlic and the Green Beans had Bacon in them. I have been here several times and will continue to be a patron. Awesome staff and delicious food. I’ll be in Tuesday for the Tacos!

As far as bar food goes it’s pretty good. Great happy hour specials too. It has a very «neighborhood» sports bar feel to it which I really like. A great place for an after work cocktail or to catch a game.

Goods sports bar. Potato skins are good. Like the pizza. Gets pretty busy on Taco Tuesday and the tacos are good and big. Not as impressed with the tenderloin as other places but o each their own. Pretty busy and noisy for Chiefs, Royals, K-​State and KU.

1st time here! Company in town and wanted to watch kstate. server was great, food was amazing except the hummus was dry and tasteless. Beer was extremely cold!!! Definatley coming back! Everyone was nice! Ps. We used the last of the paper towels in the bathroom

This place has a big buck hunter. Yeah I’m on it. We shot the Rams. Buffalo blue wrap and PBR. Yeah boy. Great place. Cool vibe. Really good drink specials every day with multiple happy hours. It’s johnnys tavern! Schooners are their tall beers.

Went to eat here last thursday and i was not happy with it ordered my food and i waited for a long time to get it. Also the food was not very good. Used to come here with my late wife a lot but it wasn’t good this time. 2 stars

This is the worst Johnny’s I have ever been to. We walked into the restaurant, weren’t greeted by anyone, and waited for a few minutes before someone even spoke to us. Prior to being seated, a waitress walked right by us and said nothing. We ordered the Buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer and it was way too runny. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich since it was supposed to be «the best in town» and that claim is not true. It had no taste at all unless I loaded it with mayo. My sweet potato fries were soggy as well. None of the workers were friendly except for the 2 waiters. I didn’t like how tables were so close to each other either. It’s pretty bad when a waitress bumps into your chair because the other table is so close. Lastly, as we were leaving, a couple of the workers were standing right by the front door smoking. The place lacks professionalism and I won’t be returning.

I stopped in for the Tuesday special ($ 1.25 beef hard shell tacos). My order was delivered with a smile in five minutes. There was a moderate amount of drained ground beef with plenty of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, and mild salsa. The service was friendly, and efficient. The atmosphere was comfortable, with 13 TVs, and background music.

This place is the definition of a fun bar. We stopped here for lunch and to watch football. Fun environment! Lots of different team fans, lots of fun camaraderie, even with people we had never met before. Food was good for bar food. Great service, even though they were packed! We’ll be back!
