IHOP

I called in an order on my way to work for the Big Steak Omelette. Once I got to work I noticed the sauces were missing. The salsa is what makes the omelette! So I called and informed them of what happened. After being on hold for 10 minutes she asked if I could come back up there. I answered no as I was now at work. They offered to remake it on my next time in. So a week later I called in and when I got to work the inside of the omelette had nothing in it just eggs, also the steak on top was tough and rubber like. Anyone who has ordered this meal before knows that Steak and Hash browns are usually inside the Omelette. I called back up there and they kept saying there is no manager available. I finally got in touch with someone the next day and they stated a manager would call back. Two weeks later and no callback I decided to call them. They provided the number to the area manager. I called to express my concerns and in return he sounded irritated. He was cutting me off and said this is too much back and forth about a omelette. I felt that was very rude as they were the ones that made the orders incorrectly yet I was being treated like a peasant. He requested I come in the next day to replace the meal. When I got there he accused me of replacing an omelette due to lack of cheese. I told him that must’ve been another customer, and he cut me off again asking if I was satisfied with the order because once I leave I can’t replace it anymore. I would never expect such rudeness from an area/​general manager. Needles to say I will NEVER go back there again!

Simple review: clean, always busy but able to get in quickly, polite customer service, reasonable prices, good coffee. I prefer «mom and pop» locations over a chain but if you’re an iHop fan, this is one of the better locations in the KC area.

When will I learn? Two years later we returned to this restaurant. On positive notes, our server, Priscilla, was very sweet, attentive and efficient! The food was delicious, too, although I felt physically terrible the rest of the morning. We were very frustrated that management would not allow us to redeem our e-​mail coupon. They insist that it must be printed. Certainly, management COULD accept it if they chose, but he must be very greedy and not want to offer his customers «gifts or blessings.» Shame on you! And the bathroom was dirty… yuk! He has lost a family that will not return.

Yup, major addiction to this place. Anytime I can get eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and amazing coffee at 3 am, has my business. Service has always been spot on. Halloween at this place is interesting.

Everything was great until we went to pay for the meal. The line was approx five deep to pay. No problem until this ignorant cashier lets some jerk slip along side the register and she takes him next! He wants to split the bill and let his buddies also cut in line. She never says a word except to ask another cashier for help to figure out how to process the bill. Hire some staff who will respect us customers and not cater to jerks.

headed here for a quick brunch on a busy Saturday late morning. it took us about 15-​minutes to get seated, but we were fine waiting. we were seated and immediately downed our first cup of coffee
my husband and I shared a egg/​smoked sausage/​hash brown meal and banana pancakes. everything was tasty and came out to us pretty quickly. our server even refilled our coffee carafe. there was a bit of a wait still but our server wasn’t rushing us. she even came back to offer us more coffee. when we said we were getting ready to go, she offered us to-​go cups.
yes, it is IHOP, and location does matter, but the food here is good and the servers are always friendly and helpful.

Yes it’s a chain but wow… so good. Whether you eat here late night, early morning, or brunch it’s good every time. Only bad thing is you’ll probably have trouble picking between all the choices!

Great service Good food

This IHOP was very good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food is typical of the corporation/​franchise but despite having the same menu, not all locations are the same. This is a good one. Clean, quick, friendly.

Pumpkin pancakes — they are back!
I thoroughly enjoy myself at IHOP and can be found there 10pm or later. They got the oldies rocking a bit too loud and waiters/​waitresses that do a fine job of putting up with wierdos like me.
They will let you substitute the hashbrowns for fried potato cubes. FYI.
Slopping those many syrups on whatever stack of pancakes you have chosen is just like art class.
The stuffed french toast is actually my first love. I do end up betraying it if I look at the menu too long.
When I want something sweet and cakey in the middle of the night, this is where I go.

Another stand-​by for suburban night owls. 24-​hour service, with pancakes, breakfast foods, burgers, and other American basics. IHOP definitely fills a need, and this location on 119^th near Metcalf beckons the late night crowd.. .
This location is near me, but they have places around the metro, so just check their website for the ones nearest you!

Ok food still awesome but last night while dining — FIGHT!!! Oh yeah there was a fight and so now it is 5 stars.
