I enjoyed my two Pete’s tacos ($ 2 each on taco Tuesdays). The tacos were large, with crisp tortilla shells, plenty of seasoned ground beef, and fresh toppings. The service was attentive, fast, friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Very nice!

Taco Tuesday! For real though, Pete’s tacos are awesome. In an area with several other Mexican restaurants, skip them and come here. Deep fried deliciousness. The crunchy tacos are quite good too, not your typical Taco Bell imports.
I started coming here because of the tacos and to watch the Royals games that were on Tuesdays. Great place to watch the games with a great crowd that’s not too big or crowded. Always have good drink specials, especially cheap beer. And who doesn’t like cheap beer? Friendly service all the time, the bartenders are awesome.
Great place that feels a little more local than your typical sports bar.

Ate here for the first time on 7÷16÷13. We had a «coupon» gift certificate from VIP Gifts. Drivers Sports Café has numerous flat screen televisions and is an outstanding place to watch a game. We sat at a table and had excellent service from our waitress (who was the bartender). I had a Dos Equis ($ 2 during happy hour that night). My wife and I also had Diet Coke. The server kept our drinks filled and had a very pleasant personality.
The tacos are insanely good. WOW! Deep fried tortilla with ground beef inside. My wife and I loved them. We also tried the hamburger. Let me just say for the record, I would put Drivers hamburger up against any other hamburger in the city. Drivers hamburger would win every time. I LOVED IT! The meat was HIGH quality, the cheese was melted perfectly, the seasoning of the meat was excellent. If you want an excellent burger, skip Smashburger, Red Robin, Westport Flea Market, and all the other so called «burger joints». Go to Drivers!
Needless to say, my family will be going back to Drivers Sports Café. They have a great Happy Hour menu with tons of food and drink specials. It doesn’t matter whether you go for the drinks, burgers, tacos, or TV’s…JUST GO!

I had been planning to update with two stars, but the tacos saved it.
But here is why the update was going to drop a star. The «weekend» bartender who works late nights on Fridays charged us twice last time we went in. When my boyfriend went to the restroom, I paid the tab. When he came back and I went to the restroom, she charged him again. Pretty sneaky!

Yummy! Went here w/​a friend from work for a quick lunch– just a perfect, inexpensive lunch for a gal who needs some good grease. I’m sure there are healthy things to order on the menu, but we didn’t choose them! I had the special-​chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and gravy and all were fabulous and the entire meal including a diet soda was 8.50! Super filling (I shouldn’t have eaten the whole thing, but couldn’t stop myself) and super satisfying! My co-​worker had a cheeseburger and fries and said they were great as well. The owner seemed very nice and friendly and our waitress was a doll. Def. going back for happy hour on Friday!

Good, attentive service from server and bartender. They were helpful with drink suggestions. I didn’t eat but others at the table had good things to say about what they ordered.

Drivers is my father’s favorite hangout lately. Occasionally I’ll join him for lunch. The food’s okay. I recommend the BLT sandwich or the Buffalo chicken wraps. The place is lined with TV’s, all of them on some sort of sports channel.

Worst service ever. Our server/​bartender acts like we are bothering him. He may want to rethink his line of work. One of the worst experiences at a bar ever. If the owner wants to stay in business he may want to rethink his staffing choices. It was so bad it inspired me to join Unilocal just to tell people to aviod it.

VERY VERY poor food. With all the bars around that area, Pete needs to step up the food to even survive

Great sports café, they get really busy during K State Games!
Good bands play on weekends and all in all a nice joint.
The ladies restroom is also dolled up and accessorized you will not be disappointed!

K-​state fans congregate here so that automatically makes it a great place… good service and as far as bar food goes its pretty good

Drivers is one of those bars that I wish was within walking distance of my home. It’s one of those places where a beer after work can easily turn into 3 or 4 beers after work. It’s a typical sports bar, with several flat screen tvs and sports memorabilia, customers who look like «regulars», and decent bar food. Drivers has daily food and drink specials, once we got in on a $ 5.00 burger and fry special, and both were fantastic. As Dev mentioned in his review, the owners are really great and accommodating.

Best chicken tenders EVER!!! They are truly amazing. The service was great as well. TRY THIS PLACE!!!

Drivers recently opened in Old Overland Park, right behind Mr. Gyros. I was skeptical at first, but it’s actually a good setup and not exactly like it’s neighbors in the Other Place and Maloneys.
Big plus here is the guy that runs it, Pete, is very welcoming and seems to sincerely care about his patrons. You want the Royals game on a specific TV? Done. Is your waitress too busy to get you your check when you are ready to leave? Pete will take care of you.
They have great, great homemade tacos on Tuesday. I didn’t think they were going to blow me away, but they did. It’s a family recipe, and I’ve never had anything like them. Deep fried flour tortilla filled with seasoned ground beef, crushed tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. Bueno!
There is a lot of open space here, they have had a few bands and DJ’s come through. Hopefully it can turn into a good dance spot in old OP.
