I have been a huge fan of Allen Edmonds shoes ever since my 1st purchase when I was a grad school student looking for a great pair of shoes to wear with a suit. The shoes are still hand made in Wisconsin and are made of substantial materials that actually make the shoe feel like it could last for a generation. I am so glad to see an Allen Edmonds store open in the KC area. In the past, I ordered off the Internet or waited until I was in an area with a store on business. Customer Service is «King» for Allen Edmonds. Recently, I purchased a pair of bluchers and a seam ripped after several months of daily wear. I took them into the store and was upgraded into the newer style free of charge. I walked in with broken shoes that had been worn for several months and walked out with a brand-new pair no questions asked. In my opinion, Allen Edmonds is one of the last great brands in American shoes. Cole Haan and Johnston & Murphy have both decreased their quality to the degree that I refuse to purchase their products. Allen Edmonds is still the real deal!
