Mister Sparky

I was referred to Mister Sparky by a friend who raved about their service. Well, I now feel the same way. I called to have an exhaust fan installed. I was given a prompt appointment and the tech, Charles, arrived on time. He also asked about our wired smoke detectors. I am glad he did because they were well past the expiration date. Charles installed the exhaust fan and 7 wired smoke/​carbon monoxide detectors the same day. He was very efficient, polite, friendly, and cleaned up afterwards. They offer a great warranty too. A few weeks after the installation, we had a smoke alarm unit chirping and called for service late on a Friday night around 9:30pm. Charles arrived in less than 40 minutes and found the chirping was coming from an old plugged in carbon monoxide detector, not one of the units he had installed. Although the service charge would only be waived if it was for their installed unit, Charles waived the charge this time. I can’t say enough good things about Mister Sparky! They provide outstanding service and are great to work with! The week after my installation, my son called Mister Sparky to replace his expired wired smoke/​carbon monoxide detectors. He experienced the same great service I did, and is also contracting Mister Sparky for additional services. We are very satisfied customers and will continue to use Mister Sparky for all of our electrical needs!

I called Mister Sparky to come and swap out some of the high ceiling lights I had in my house that had burnt out over the years and required an extra large ladder in order to be replaced. They sent Charles over the same day I called and he evaluated the entire job and quoted me before proceeding — however, they do charge a $ 60 service fee just come out to your site/​home, but mine was waived since I ultimately paid them to do the job on the spot. Charles did a great job, and while I was there, I ended up asking him to install 4 dimmers, 3 pendant lights, and a ceiling fan in addition to the high ceiling lights I originally called about, he also explained what he was doing everytime, which helps — plus, he also helped me center a high ceiling painting for free! Their prices were fair and affordable so I just went ahead and did it all, and the best part is that Charles stayed late in order to finish the job in one go. All in all, they were very accommodating, fair, and a friendly company, and I would highly recommend them if you are looking to get some electric work done right.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Just wanted a quote to install boxes for ceiling fans. They wanted to charge me $ 150 just to come out to arrange quote. I couldn’t believe it.

I called 4 companies and Mister Sparky was the only one that would cone out and repair my main box in a week, made time for me on a Saturday.
They returned all my phone calls or answered them.
Showed up on time and made the repair at same time. Had the parts needed in the truck
Gave me a quote before repairs and then ended up being cheaper.
This is the kind of service I expect from companies.
I like to complain a lot. But I have no complaints about my service. Also their work passed city inspection .
