The Jambalaya is excellent! On a very recent visit with 5 other friends, I ordered the salmon — it was a ‘special’ that evening for ~$ 17.95(instead of getting my usual Jambalaya). All I can say is: What a disappointment! I received a *ridiculously* small piece of salmon. I stared in disbelief when it was put in front of me. I would guess it to have weighed about 3 oz. — max. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans; needless to say there was a great deal of profit in that plate. I mentioned it to our waitress and made it clear that I did not want a credit, free meal, or other compensation — only that a manager /owner somewhere be told. No one came out so I have to take her word that they were informed. We used to REALLY like this place and want it to do well again — but *we* have noticed some disturbing trends(I realize now that had a similar experience with their Tuna special once too). I suggest you steer clear of the seafood dishes as a result. The pub fare is very good as is the Turkey and many other dishes according to others in our group. The staff at the bar and dining room floor are all great and consistently receive 20% or more tips from us. If the portions /and kitchen could match them this place would *sizzle* again! :fingers crossed:

Love thier Sunday morning buffet. Food was hot and fresh and if something got low or has been sitting there for even just a short bit fresh was brought out. I want to add the omelette dude ROCKS

We have gone to Sunny Villa several times, but on Saturday I had the worst burger I have ever had in my life. It had absolutely no flavor. How they could ever have tried one of those burgers and continue to sell them is beyond me. My daughter had the chicken kabob sandwich and sweet potato fries and she liked them. The waitress was also very nice. I will not return.

Good food. The wait staff are always great. Jambalaya is out of this world. Fried green beans are great.

The server was rude, ignored us until we finally left. We were ready to order and sat there with our closed menus while the server looked at us and kept doing other things like pre bussing and talking… I will never return oh and the unisex bathroom door doesn’t lock and a gentleman walked in on me pulling up my pants… Great…

There a few times where I’m beyond disappointed and this was one of them. Went for their Sunday brunch, food had no taste, or was extremely salty. Asked the owner who was manning the egg station for scrambled eggs, he gives me an omlette. My husband ordered veggie scrambled, he got an omelette. When he said our, order was done, we explained we ordered scrambled. He said yeah, and here it is. Not worth the $ 30. I’ll go to the mason breakfast in ossipee from now on. And I won’t be visiting this place for any meal again.

If you pass by Sunny Villa on your drive to the mountains or back home, keep on driving. I always wanted to try this place and am very disappointed that I did. First, you walk into a crowded and loud bar to get to the dining area, which at first I figured was a good sign that if it’s busy, it should be good. The dining room has Christmas lights all over the windows and tacky wallpaper from the early 90’s. The view is great, but the dining room is attached to a function hall and it just doesn’t work very well. I guess I offended the waitress by asking for a decent beer as that was the last we saw of her and we got a new one. We had very inattentive service at the restaurant, almost like we were ignored. I never got a refill and we were never checked on until we were just about done. The food wasn’t very good and lacked flavor. My wife had a salad and I had mac and cheese. I hate giving bad reviews, but the service was horrible and I’m very patient with wait staff since I had to suffer through waiting tables for years. I won’t be going back again.

We were on our way back from Maine & this was on the way home so we decided to try this restaurant for dinner. First of all love the view of he mountains from where we sat ! This place is very spacious which was nice. I ordered the fish tacos & they were even better then my expectations. My family and I enjoyed everything we ordered, so glad we had waited to eat dinner later in the day, definitely want to come back and try their pizzas(:

Bullet point review: –Door through the left leads to a poorly lit hallway that ended with a sign saying to seat yourself –My concern how long it would take them to greet us was alleviated when a waitress appeared within 30 seconds of sitting –Very spacious, nice smell and well ventilated –Very clean and shiny –Surprised to see Gluten Free marked on the menu considering the location –Despite being a week after the holiday, keeping the Christmas lights on the walls did not feel out of place with how cold it is and the rural location –Salad was fairly fresh, albeit it having more olives than I expected or wanted, which is none –Poutine! I’ve wanted to try it for years, so props to them for serving a foreign cuisine –Poutine tastes how you think it would, not remarkable but good –My dining companion previously raved about the prime rib, saying it was most tender, delicious she’s had –Huge piece of prime rib with two sides for $ 16.99 is a good deal –It was good, but my companion said it had been better prior, admitting we should had ordered medium instead of medium well; when she ordered medium well last time it was served medium –Pleasant staff, seemed good for groups –I didn’t find the turn around for food slow, as other reviews here have said: seemed about normal for a restaurant, but it was a little under 50% full

A waitress avoided serving my family and I any way she could. The girl from the bar came out of her way to make sure we were ok. Maybe if we were white the waitress probably would have served us. But good to know that even in 2014 this is still an issue in the world first and last time I will ever go there Price and quality of food is awesome.

This place is so much better than Hobbs. Great food, great service, friendly waitresses, ambiance, and it’s not LOUD. My wife and I both had specials. She had veggie scampi that she loved. I had southwest haddock — baked haddock topped with salsa that was fantastic. They let me substitute a salad for the rice — I’m cutting down on starch.

Service started slow, but 10 dinners came out remarkably fast. Corn and Carrots were included sides, but they’re charging an extra dollar for broccoli, and an extra $ 2 for asparagus. That was a drag. Food was decent.

I have no idea how people have had a positive experience here but the food here was some of the worst I ever had. We had the calamari which was all fried bits and we could barely find any squid in it. Then I ordered the chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was given to me in a plastic cup that was cold? The sandwich is a hot sandwich? Then my husband had BBQ spaghetti which was gross. Not to mention the ladies room which was one big room with 2 toilets in the middle of the floor? Totally bizarre.

When the food finally arrived … Wait, let’s take a moment and define«finally.» By «finally,» I don’t mean things were on the usual Lakes Area meandering timetable. I mean, we came in before 7pm on a Wednesday, got a ‘hello’ blowby from our server ten minutes later, were able to order ten minutes after that, waters finally arrived ten minutes after that and apps came over ten minutes after that. So, yes, it was 7:41 when we started to get some food. For a pair of young families, this was ridiculously bad. Thankfully they don’t have the back end of the restaurant built out yet(it is finished, but not filled up with tables and chairs — just empty space) … so we ended up just letting the youngest ones run around a bit like wild indians. The lack of service left us no alternative — two and five year olds can’t sit still for forty minutes when they are already past their dinner time. … anyway, when the food FINALLY did arrive, it was very good. Tasty, well-portioned and reasonably priced. Beer menu was not a strong point, but it was passable.

Best restaurant ever. I had the Poutine(which I pronounce«p’tin» and they pronounce«poutine») and the chicken alfredo pizza which will feed me for three days it’s so delish and rich. My friend had turkey tips with wild rice which she tried to tell me was delicious(I believe her, but I consider rice a vegetable and refused to eat it). Waitress is awesome. Definitely go.

The Good: I had the extra hot Wings two days ago and I still burn. Reasonable but not amazing beer selection. Nice atmosphere inside. The Bad: Frosty glasses and slow service. I went on a Sunday evening and it took nearly a half hour to get my food order taken because they were unexpectedly slammed. Server was very apologetic. The Ugly: TV had a fishing show on which makes for a weird sensation when eating hot wings.

Stopped at Sunny Villa for their new Breakfast menu today… The food was so tasty and the selection was incredible! … Esp. the variations of the Eggs Benedict! First off as an Avid Coffee drinker, I have to say the coffee was fresh and smooth, not bitter at all with a nice body… not your standard weak diner coffee… I was tied between getting my usual biscuits and gravy and the Buffalo Eggs Benedict with Buffalo sauce and blue cheese sprinkles over the hollandaise sauce… I went with the biscuits and gravy and was extremely Happy! My wife got the Irish Eggs Benedict with corn beef hash laid in under the eggs and said it was Delicious. My daughter got her favorite the Waffle with strawberries and Real Maple Syrup! Great Meal, Great Service, Great View!!! Will Most Definitely Be back! 5 StarS!!!
