Magic Needle

I’ve taken many items here over the years and frankly they are done extremely well. There was one dress I had an issue with, and they re-​altered it for free to my satisfaction. In another case, I needed a dress turned around quickly for a business trip and they got it done in a shortened time frame with no rush charges, which is virtually unheard of. The only issue is they require cash or check, but I get wanting to avoid fees!

If I could give her a zero, I would. I normally have an open mind when it comes to doing business with Asians as I am an Asian myself. Usually open mind goes both ways or it just wouldn’t work. In this case, it didn’t work.
Went in last week with 3 suits and a work dress for alter. Friends have used her before and said she does great work. I thought I would give her a try. She was nice and very quick when it came to measuring you with your outfits. Very pleasant.
I wore my first suit right away the next day and the bottom of the pants threading started falling apart and unthreading. I was so embarrassed as I was still at work and no other clothes. Then next day, I wore the dress. Same thing happened. As you know, dress is harder to hide especially when it is the seam near the knee.
I went back to her to see if she could fix it or do another kind of pattern threading so it doesn’t happen again. She said yes and gave me a higher price than the first time I paid her in cash. When I tried to negotiate with her even though it was bad work and I should have just left to go somewhere else, her answer was direct and one word, ‘no’.
If you have an attitude and don’t realize you or your team does bad work, don’t open a business. It’s not meant for you.
Never going back. Would never recommend to anyone. I would rather travel outside Maple Grove to get alterations done at this point.

Took a dress here to be taken in about one size. It was fitted all the way down with sleeves, so not the easiest task. Done perfectly and ready on time (one week)! $ 32, cash only.
