I’ve had my legs waxed here twice, and it’s been… ok. Danielle does a great job with the actual waxing — she’s clearly done this a few times before and gets everything off with a minimum of messing around, so no complaints about the actual service. However, some inconsistencies between my two appointments have sort of irritated me.
My first appointment was a Saturday afternoon. I called in the morning to confirm (thinking it was odd that they hadn’t called me) and they asked if I could come 15 minutes earlier. Sure, no problem. They called me back an hour or two later and said never mind, she’s running behind, come at the original time. Not a huge inconvenience, but a little annoying. As it turned out, it was the last appointment before they closed, so when we finished up an hour later, there was just one other employee left, which felt kind of weird. For my second appointment, I received a reminder text and there was no horsing around with changing it – did they change systems in the meantime?
Also, I was originally quoted $ 65 for a full leg wax. When I mentioned during the appointment that I had been referred by a friend, they said they would give me their $ 15 referral discount. When it came time to pay, they said the usual price was $ 70, so my discounted price was $ 55, not the $ 50 I was expecting. But at my second, full-​price appointment, they only charged me $ 65. I know it’s only five bucks, but come on, be consistent!
Service at the front desk has also been hit or miss. Maybe I’m just spoiled by Aveda, but I’ve grown accustomed to feeling a a little more welcomed — for instance, they have a coat rack, so maybe you could take my coat for me? Also, on the second visit I was asked if I had filled out the waxing form, which I definitely did not see on the first visit. If I decide to keep waxing, I’ll probably keep coming back, but with fairly low expectations.
Finally, it’s a bit tricky to find. As they described it to me, it’s the driveway between the dollar store and the Fairfield Inn. Otherwise, you will drive right by and never see it, since they’re tucked waaaaay back behind the hotel.

We came in together, the three sisters we are, to celebrate a birthday and the gals that took care of us were delightful and chatted with us as well as letting us share our stories while pampering us. What a treat!
