I scheduled a scramble shotgun tournament for 60 players in June for September 19th. Two weeks after I scheduled it they told me I was down for the 12th so I had to change the date of the tournament so then some people couldn’t play. Then TWO days before the tournament day John the general manager called me and told me I’m only suppose to have 40 players! HUGE miscommunication between him and coworkers and I was very unhappy. I only had 56 and we were suppose to have a shotgun but he changed it a little and made it work with the 56. But he was a prick about it and was a prick the day of the tournament. So let’s just say I will no longer play at this course or host anymore tournaments at this course and neither will a lot of people that played in it. The General manager will be the one to ruin this courses reputation and lower the amount of players! They will miss out on a lot of money since I put on two to three big tournaments a year!

Yuck, yuck and yuck. When we call in for a 2:30 tee time that DOESNOT mean 2:45, 2:55, 3:00, or 3:15 or whenever. .. That, dear High Cedars staff(and I use the term loosely, as I believe«staff» should ordinarily mean employees who are semi-intelligent, in my book). It’s nearly 3:30 and still waiting to tee off. Yes, generally would have left, but first time golfing with a good friend in a long time and we both drove a distance to get here. Not coming back. Done, done and done. If you folks don’t know what booking a tee time is all about, there’s no help for you — nor customers, as far as I’m concerned.

I have been playing at High Cedars for the past 4 years, and every year the customer service from the time you walk in the door is just a joke. Booking tee times, paying green fees, and any other questions are answered and dealt with a rude undertone and as if they are trying to make you feel stupid for asking. I love the course itself, a great variety of holes that’s moderately challenging. But unfortunately the way it’s ran and how paying members are treated knocks down the experience significantly. I have been calling for the past 3 days numerous times to look for a lost club, and the phone has yet to be answered.

I went here on Memorial Day and it was really busy with so many people, with and without kids. They have great view of the mountain if it was sunny, but it was still nice. People basically built houses around the golf course, so some of the smaller courses are like someone’e backyard. The restaurant had limited food menu but the soup was okay.

I would normally always give this place 4 or 5 stArs. The reason being I am not rite now is because of how hard the greens r. Had to switch to bump and running on to the greens because of how hard they r. Stuck a a few shots square in the middle of the greens and watched my ball not only bounce 4ft in the air but bounces off the green. From 160 out u would think the green would give but when I looked for a divot there was hardly even a divot. I’m sure they plan on aerating the greens but peak season is bout to hit so maybe not. U MAYWANNACALL A HEADTOMAKESURETHEYDIDNT cuz it suck show up and they didn’t tell ya they punched the greens. Will update this review after golfing there for my bday in August

Played course on 4÷13÷14. Greens had recently been aerated so with morning dew ball picks up sand on greens. Booked through GolfNow and no aeration alert was posted. Some tee boxes were located in temporary area. Pace of play was as always pretty good. Use of fireworks(whistlers, firecracker) distracting to get geese off course. This course will play well and greens will be some of the best in the area once they fully recover.

I played the course in a scramble tournament on 06/28/2013. It was in GREAT condition. The fairways were green. The rough was not too deep. The greens were consistent and smooth. Why only four stars? I really like the course, but the par three holes are long for the average hitter. It would be much better if several were shortened by say thirty yards. It would be more fair. The course measures 6,260 yards from the men’s tees. Take 30 yards off a 170 yard par three and turn it into 140 yards. Take 30 yards off the 150 yard par three. It will allow the golfer to use more clubs from their bag and still leave a 6,200 yard course. If someone wants longer, they can play from the tips. The second reason to drop to only four start is the course is very flat. Elevation change makes a more interesting course. This course is definitely worth a visit.

I went to a wedding here and was pleasantly surprised. After the LONG drive we arrived hungry! The food buffet was very large and full of options. The pasta was delicious, wings were cooked just right and the bread was too die for(I actually had my bf sneak me some extras). It seemed like an average wedding hall but I liked the windows covering the area, the plentiful buffet and friendly service. It was clean too!
