Great dive bar! The stripper pole was a great addition.

Amazing! I love a good dive bar. Walked in on a Monday about noon, no power… all good though. I did not eat, but will be back. Sat and visited with the owner and the 2 bartenders. Lot of history here. Did not know part of 4 movies were filmed here. Had a blast, but many places make you feel at home like this. Be back for dinner this weekend.

I drove up from seal Beach, Ca. For no other reason than to just go somewhere new. I liked the place they give free beer if you bring in a out of date and state licenses plate. The pool table was good and the beer was large and cold. The owner was putting in a new patio and pounding bricks when i pulled up he stopped to say hi and told me about the place. they are doing major improvements. This is not a Sunday rider bar or a place to bring your kids.

The phone number listed for this business is wrong, and the 411 does not have a listing for Iron Hog. I’ve been here before and there is a nice gift shop next door, which I also cannot find a phone # for. I think they should get this website updated.

My hubby and I went here for date night on a Friday. We live in Victorville, so it’s a bit of a drive but we thought it would be worth it. The owner or manager(not sure what his role is) is not very personable. He didn’t greet us when we got in, he just looked at us, took a swig of his drink and motioned for us to go sit down in the dining room. He came a few minutes later with menus and took our drink order. When he came back with the drinks, he took our food order. The whole time he didn’t crack one smile and hardly looked at us. I guess it’s just his personality. They had live music playing, which I usually like, but this was just way too loud. We couldn’t exactly sit somewhere else either because there were only, like, 8 tables in the dining room. It was hard to converse with my husband with the music being so loud. My husband ordered the ribs and I ordered the ribeye. Both were a very good price considering the dishes we ordered. When our food came out, my hubby’s ribs were falling off the bone and they were delicious. My ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium and it was full of flavor. The décor is nothing exciting and it’s a bit out-dated. The only reason this place got 4 stars is because the food is so good.

I was in no way impressed! The place seemed dirty, the waitress(Jess) that we had was friendly I will say that. But the owner(guy who just watches TV and doesn’t make you feel welcome in anyway) was a Jackass! He was rude when we walked in. He just sat and watched TV and while he was watching something«so important» he kept turning it up and then yelled«shut the F*** up or get the F*** out if you’re gonna talk». I am aware that this is a «biker bar» but when genuine Bikers are in there and look at this guy in dissatisfaction and WALKOUT then you know it’s unprofessionalism at it’s finest! The place was cluttered, dusty, and just not up to a bar or restaurants cleanliness in my opinion. The«junk sale» that’s out front is a huge EYE sore. It’s disgusting to walk through. While my husband and son were shooting a game of pool the waitress was trying to help my son(it was his first time shooting pool). While the owner/TV guy suggest to them they«take it else where» in a rude tone. My son was not doing anything wrong and the tables weren’t the best and had beer spills on them to begin with so we found it rather rude. Especially when they were at our community Markets anniversary celebration and specified they are kid/family friendly! They were not busy and I can’t even begin to understand why the owner would be so rude to customers. We will never go back here, and I suggest no one even waste the time for far from«world famous» food. I had the pulled pork that they advertise as WORLDFAMOUS and it’s NOT, it’s good, but far from GREAT!

The food is great. The portions are huge and the beer is always ice cold. I couldn’t ask for more at a roadhouse on Route 66! The menu includes Rattlesnake and Ostrich. I preferred the pulled pork sandwich. It was awesome and was so big, I could only eat ½. I have to come back on Taco Tues. for $ 1 Tacos.

My first trip to this establishment was an absolute delight. The Valentine’s dinner included homemade french onion soup, salad, filet mignon, choice of potato and a fabulous red devil’s food cake with white chocolate chream cheese frosting. The steak was presented perfectly cooked and was quite possibly the best steak I’ve had since moving to the high desert 12 yrs. ago. I can’t wait to get back and try Breakfast which is served on weekends. The staff are so friendly and music by «Two Guys» a pleasant unexpected surprise.

A must-stop no matter which direction you may be on Route 66. Ultra-biker friendly(cameras on the dirt parking lot, and free camping for riders), this watering hole starts serving at an early-morning hour(sometimes you need a bracer at 8:00) without attempting to empty your wallet in under an hour, or let you over-indulge(the owner will let you know if you’re getting too hammered along with an updated law-enforcement area report). While I can’t say I’ve tried everything thrown on the grill, the beef brisket sandwiches were tasty and worth every penny. Now, the downsides: 1.if you’re outside, respect the emus(they may be emus. They might be ostriches. Sue me if I’m wrong). They may be birds, but they have sharp beaks and razor-sharp talons. They are not afraid to use them, especially if they perceive you invading«their» territory. 2. Some customers may be a bit obnoxious. Especially if they’ve just returned from a tour overseas. Give them a bit of room. Other than that, it’s a great watering hole on the mother road, whether you’re there for an hour or for twelve. It’s worth the stop.
