First time here. We order five items masala dosa, aloo paratha, poori Bhaji, and tomato soup. They used same aloo mixed for everything. We order bhature chhole. It was tasteless full of cream. It is all waste of money.

Great place for delicious authentic vegetarian South Indian cuisine. I’ve been here for lunch buffet and dinner. The food at lunch buffet is not as good as dinner but for the price, it’s an amazing deal. Dinner is more pricey but it is absolutely delicious! All the curries are amazing, my favorites being all the creamy paneer curries. The vegetable samosas are wonderful too. I love that the food here is actually spicy and not watered down like some other restaurants. The mango lassi is also something I recommend trying! It is sweet creamy and absolutely refreshing.

Lives up to the expectation of brand«Woodlands». Service can be made better. What we loved — Coconut Chutney made fresh, Idli and the Thali. Mango milkshake is avoidable. Wonder why people add ice to milkshakes. Must visit if you are tired of the standard Indian restaurants that serve buffet.

Admittedly, giving this place 5 stars when all I’ve ever had is the lunch buffet, seems a little overzealous, but that’s how good their freakin’ lunch buffet is! It’s about $ 9 for all you can eat of some of the best vegetarian indian food I’ve ever had. They have plenty of different delectable dishes to choose from, including a variety of rice and bread options, as well as plenty of sauces/chutneys. They also give you a mini potato dosa(not«mini» at all– actually huge!) which is delicious! Their dinner prices seem like more than a college kid like me could afford, but when it comes to the lunch buffet, I can’t recommend it more and will be coming back forever!

Probably one of the best Indian vegetarian restaurants in Orlando. Their Chana bhatura is very tasty. They seem to be always busy. I am taking away a star only because there is some scope for them to improve on their ambience a bit. Other wise excellent food!

Decent buffet, but menu items are great! only catch is you can’t order off the menu till after 12:00, when their staff is done eating– kinda weird. Best gulab jamun ever!

Small buffet(as others have said) but honestly it is high in quality. I really felt like I could eat there all day! Very attentive staff, which to me for authentic Indian cuisine is normal and highly desired(never have to worry about dirty plates left behind or a lack of water)! It’s definitely one of the better vegetarian Indian food places in Orlando :)

I took my mother here for lunch. She and I both enjoyed the buffet. We both particularly enjoyed their fruit custard. I really liked the mattar paneer and basmati rice. Dhosas were good too. Only con is that the service is a bit slow.

The only saving grace for this restaurant is the taste of the food. Other than that everything else is really disastrous about this restaurant. The staff demeanour is next to non existent and discourteous. My dish had human hair and I was in for a shock when I tried to pointed it out. The waiter first tried to shoo it off as a «small hair». When I insisted that he look into it, he took the plate to the kitchen. When he came back he did not have an explanation but my bill with him. Surprised, I went to the owner and tried to politely tell him there was human hair but he did not care to explain as well. He just took my card and charged me. No efforts were made to explain or even apologize. I walked away a very disappointed customer today. Note to management, if there is an issue with your dish the least you can do is either replace it or not charge for it. Charging without any explanation is ridiculous. We are not here to eat free.

The person taking the order forgot to put the order and we had to wait extra 1 hour. Pathetic service but food is decent. I will think twice before going there. Do not recommend especially for service

Having now had lunch and dinner here, I would not return for dinner. I will return for lunch. It’s a matter of portions. For $ 35, two can dine on tasty but small portions. I got the Tamil Nadu dinner special and it would have been exceptional if the tiny bowls were, say, three times as large. It would have been fair for the price. The food was good but so little of it appeared. On the other hand, the lunch buffet is cheaper($ 10 or a little less), of fine quality, and infinite. I call that an easy choice.

I’ve been at least a dozen times before finding other more interesting Indian venues. The buffet’s a great place to get acquainted with vegetarian Indian but the excess staff leering about creeps me out. Looking at me looking at you. Small buffet. I hear ordering off the menu is better but I’ve never done. Next time. 3.459 rating.

This is the best paper masala dosa I’ve had in 10 years. You’ll get great food at a reasonable price and adequate service. If you have experience with restaurants of this type, you know that what you WON’T get a fancy restaurant with décor and great service.

3 Stars for a surprisingly small lunch buffet and a not so stellar experience. First disclosure is that I’m a weeny when it comes to spice. I know that might make me a less-than-adequate reviewer for an Indian restaurant where people rave about the fabulous spice levels, but for my fellow weenies– I’d recommend ordering from the menu versus doing the lunch buffet so you have more options and can get recommendations from the servers. But even though there was only one dish on the buffet that was what I’d consider mild(mind you– it was plain rice), I’m not taking that into account for my review since I’ve had the same issue with lots of beloved Indian restaurants. The size of the buffet though was a bit baffling given all the reviews I’ve read about it. There were very few dishes and it just seemed really small considering other Indian buffets I’ve been to. I even asked my lunch mate if we were supposed to walk around to the back of the buffet thinking maybe there was another side(there wasn’t). As soon as we sat down I noticed that each dish I’d spooned into my plate was spicier than the last, but luckily the buffet comes with one mini Dosa which was really tasty(albeit a bit greasy) and quite mild. My husband was more than happy to douse his meal in yogurt to ease the heat, so I know there were some decent flavors. The service was alright, but not great. I know it’s a buffet, but we had to finally get up to get someone to give us another set of cutlery because none of the servers would make eye contact with us as we tried to flag them down. Oddly enough, they otherwise seemed to be watching every table pretty intensely. I will say that it’s nice that they have a metal pitcher for water at each table because we were certainly guzzling it down quickly! One observation that I’m pointing out in case a manager reads this was that from the moment I walked in I heard a man’s loud, phlegmy coughing coming from the kitchen. I thought it might just be a rogue coughing fit but it lasted the whole time we were there and I saw a few other people turn back to try to see where it was coming from. I point this out because something so small can actually really taint a dining experience. I couldn’t help but feel like I wanted to bolt out of there and cover my mouth and nose. The manager was there(he checked us out) and I have to imagine he heard what we all heard and I wish he had sent the poor, sick server or cook home for the day. I’ll admit, I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to be the reason someone got sent home. Probably a timid mistake on my part. –sigh– Just not my best lunch experience I’m afraid.

We were in Orlando for 2 days and since we(husband and wife) are vegetarian South Indians, ended up eating dinner here for the 2 nights. Their Mysore thali is awesome, and yummy. It’s 21 $ and the two of us shared it. It came with rice, koottu, rasam, matar paneeer, chole, puri, payasam(semiya and sabudana). For starters we got a tomato soup, mysore bajji, samosa and veg cutlet. We took an idly substitute for the Samosa and it was super. The koottu(some people don’t like koottu and I hope they add another option like sambar) and rasam were also yummy. Despite all this food in the thali we also ordered Gobi manchurian which was perfect! Best I have ever eaten! We also took a Falooda and Rasmalai to-go. I took a star off as the rasmalai was rotten(yes it was) and the falooda(photo in the menu looked awesome) was meh. Yeah, their menu has photos and they are quite helpful. The second night we took a rava onion masala(oily but gooood) and Idly combo and a Chhole Bhatura. The rava masala was amazing. The masala was the correct flavor and the rava dosa crisp and tangy. It was too much food and we ended up taking a large amount home. I guess 2 people can share just one Chola Bhatura for a light meal. S/O to the waiter who did a great job taking our order and was very nice.

Worst service ever. Potato cutlet was cooked with a bad potato. Waiter insisted it was good after we had complained about the food. Instead of correcting the issue employees were ignorant and didn’t take care of the situation. Also the manager or owner never came to address the complaint!!! Will never eat here again.

I am giving this place one star because I have to to write this review… it does not even a deserve that… the service is horrible and waiters do not listen to request made for preferences and they are rude… we ordered paneer chili and told make it spicy but it was bland with no paneer and full of onions and pepper… than we ordered 2 dosas and they were really the worst we had ever… the chef has no clue that salt exist at all… if u want real deal dosas this definitely is not the place .don’t waste your money .

South Indian delicacy. Loved it :-) We came to this place hoping to have decent South Indian food. But the whole experience was exceptional. The food was delicious. We ordered Gobi Manchurian, Paneer chili, Rava Masala Dosa, Paper Dosa & South Indian thali. We loved every bit of it. The coconut chutney could have been little better, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the whole food. Absolutely a must go for all the vacation goers in Orlando . The serving staff was very helpful and the management was also involved in helping and serving. Family owned and family run. Long way to go :-)
