Great place to go and grab a locally brewed beer. David makes all his beers in house and they are all really good. The list changes up so he might not always have the same thing. The place has changed a lot over the past three years and I love what they have done to the place. Really fun place to hang out with friend or listen to music. Most nights something is going on at the Winter Park Brewing Company. My favorite thing on tap is David’s Sangria… It’s not beer but it’s yummy yummy! The prices are moderate … So don’t expect a $ 2 beer on the menu. The sangria is $ 7.50 and is one of the more expensive beverages.

I was so excited when I saw Taps from Scratch because I thought it was perfect for our backyard wedding. And it would have been had:
1. The delivery been on time (the day prior for our rehearsal dinner too) and not 3 HOURS before the wedding.
2. It been calibrated correctly and not spewing head the entire time (which we were told was «our fault because we chose a light, rice beer» and «it does that»).
3. Had he called prior to the event to verify delivery time like he said he would and given us his updated number (not the one listed on site or given when we paid btw).
4. He not insulted our wedding planner by saying «SHE is the one who needs to get her shit together» (because she hunted down his number to make sure he even got there on time when he failed to show or call prior like planned?)
5. He not insulted our wedding guests by saying they’re «spoiled beer drinkers because they don’t like a little head on their beer). (Half or over half of every glass is more than «a little»).
6. It actually looked as good as it does in the pictures. (FYI — the instructions for «trouble shooting» are handwritten on the side (visible), without the correct contact info). And we were told we would have to continue adjusting it every two hours.
7. The beer actually tasted good.
8. He not shown up almost two hours late for pick up (after rescheduling).
And for the record — almost half our guests are in the service or bar industry. Our planner and her assistants are all bartenders/​restaurant owner and have dealt with plenty of kegs, beer problems, etc. In addition, the head really wasn’t a big deal and would have been fine had it been not half a glass every. Single. Time.
If you’re wanting this for your event — please please find another idea or go elsewhere. For our trouble and complaints, we were completely blamed and absolutely none of the $ 425.00 was refunded (we MAYBE got a 12 pack of beer out of it), no discounts for future, etc. This was a bad business move in addition to insulting guests and planner.
Plus side? We soaked our brauts in the beer and they were good.

The vibe has changed significantly & they’ve improved the décor a ton as well. Far fewer blitzed people.
Everything IS super chill other than designated nights for parties.
The outdoor seating in the back is also awesome.
Fixed all of my issues, everything is great now.

Went here for my 22^nd, and I got to say it was an awesome find. For the cover, you do get access to all the homebrew ciders, beers, and malts. They have quite a few rooms where you can just chill and play board games so it has that going for it. Now for the quality of the beer. It wasn’t the best. But, when it’s right next to one of the largest craft brew bars in the area it can cause a bit of contrast. I won’t become a fan of their brew.

This is a fun concept, they are a school not a bar/​brewery. The execution fails… they are not serving Craft Beer here, it’s more like malt liquor. And they should look into cleaning out their lines a little more frequently. DO NOT come here if you are looking for craft beer, come here if you are looking for a cool vibe & local art.

I Love this place. Such a novel idea and great beer to boot. If you’re hankering for something out of the norm, and to meet some great people with awesome taste, this is the place to go.

I can’t say enough good things about Taps From Scratch. I highly recommend their services for your next party or your «out of the box» evening. Such a cool idea! If you are looking for a unique experience, visit Taps From Scratch, take the tour and meet the owners. They are highly knowledgable on craft beer and home brewing, but above that, cool guys too!
We recently contracted Taps From Scratch to provide the beer for our wedding. David exceeded our expectations! For a reasonable price, he provided us with the refrigeration rig, two kegs (cigar city maduro brown ale & yuengling) and complete delivery, setup and break down on the day of the wedding. We didn’t have to do anything except sit back, enjoy the beer and compliments from our guests on how cool the setup was! The bartenders love it too– so simple for them. No problems whatsoever with the beer from Taps From Scratch.

100% total dump. All the other reviews are friends of the owner.
If you think going to your buddies nasty, sticky floored apartment is a good evening out, then this place is for you!
If you make more than minimum wage, or enjoy activities other than smoking pot and playing video games, then this place is not for you.
As someone else mentioned, the legality of this place is questionable at best. It was best exampled when the tour guide got in my face to stress that they DO NOT sell beer!
I give the place one more month before they are shut down by either the BATF or the health department!

LOL the legality of the place seems a little weird, but the concept is pretty cool.
The day I went may have been an off day during a down period because there really wasn’t much going on tap wise. There was a lot of Orlando Brewing, which we all know I am not a fan of, and then maybe 2 home brewers beers.
There wasn’t really anything that jumped out at me that day, but it changes up frequently so maybe my next visit will be more fun.
I guess that’s the kind of inconsistency to be expected with this concept. You never know when who’s gonna be brewing what, so you kinda have to keep checking up.

It’s awesome. Here are the reasons why I love this place.
1. Owned by locals.
2. You pay about $ 10 – 15 bucks for a sample glass, which you keep forever (remember to take it home and bring it back next time to fill up again), and go around sampling ALLLLL the different homebrew beers out of the fridge keg things. Owner dude makes a mean fig beer. Samples are free/​bottomless after you buy the glass (I think there’s a charge to sample the next time you come in, and it’s like $ 10, can’t remember exactly).
3. You can go in and brew your own beer using their equiptment. Yep! And then let random strangers taste it via the method in step 2. If you don’t want to brew, you can watch other people brewing out back and witness the magic happening.
4. Comfy couches and outdoor seating.
5. Neat local artwork in each room.
It’s awesome. I’ve only been there once but holy crap. Going back again. I got (accidentally) annihilated the night I went. So. Many. Samples. The fact that this place is here means the on-​foot bar wandering list in the Corrine area goes up to eleventy now.
They also rent out their fridges for events, and set up/​take it away for you, which is pretty spiffy! Owner is very friendly, knowledgeable and cool.

Great local beer, great place to relax… $ 15 all beer you can drink with a take home glass, how can you go wrong…

Taps from Scratch is an excellent addition to Audubon park and a must see for anyone that brews their own beer or would like to. I recently checked out Taps with the ladies from Lady Crafters and we were so impressed with the entire setup. I loved all of the beer-​related décor as well as the live music near the front of the store.
Our first visit set us back only $ 15 for unlimited sampling of each of the lagers/​ales. We were in luck! All of them were available for sampling. :) We were told that the cost is only $ 10 on our next visit for unlimited sampling, so KEEP YOUR GLASS!
My favorites were:
— Dark Homebrew
— Christmas Ale
— Rainy Day IPA
— Stormy Imperial Stout
We were given a tour through each of the rooms and got to check out the entire process. If you are interested in making your own lager or ale, you can come in for a few hours on a Saturday and Sunday to get started on your dream beer!
One thing to note is that they do not believe in bottling the lager/​ale you make, so you are on your own with dispensing it for yourself and/​or guests.

Just this year, thanks to the friendliness and encouragement of other ladies who like to drink beer, I pushed through the wardrobe and landed in Craft Beer Narnia. Recently, we had our November meetup here, and what a great place it was.
They locally source their ingredients when possible and specialize in providing delicious drinks for events and parties. But they let you drink at their home base and also provide a tour.
My favorites were the Dirty Blonde and the newly-​tapped Christmas Ale. They also had a wonderful Honey Ale that was a close, third favorite of mine. They were all full of flavor, and very smooth. In all, they had around 10 beers available. Follow them on Facebook to get the latest updates as things change constantly.
David is extremely friendly and willing to also teach those who are brand new to the beer and brewing world, so don’t be afraid to ask him questions.

Taps from Scratch is located in Winter Park Dr, just off Corrine Drive, across the street from Stardust and the Audubon Park market. Take a tour and $ 15 on your first visit gets you a glass to keep and unlimited sampling of the 10 – 14 taps around the shop. While touring, learn about making home brews, Taps from Scratch kegs and their various beer offerings. You take the glass home and on your next visit, your unlimited beer sampling is $ 10 with your glass.
We were so taken by some of the tasty brews that we are thinking about brewing our own. If you have an interest, you can do it all there and then move the keg to your home to enjoy at your leisure or for the holidays, special b’day, etc. Don’t have a kegorater at home? You can rent one there for your event at home or book one of their rooms in the shop. Ales take 10 – 14 days, Lagers 45 – 60 days, so plan ahead. You can make your own or just preorder your beer without making it.
Group favorites from the many we sampled– White house honey ale (using and improving the POTUS recipe), Dirty Blond, Imperial Porter, Christmas Ale… and the list goes on for individual faves. Lots of great beers, our group was especially was digging the Christmas Ale, so well balanced, festive and tasty! Christmas in my MOUTH #2!

Found a great new place to drink Locally Brewed Beer, this place is badass. Buy a glass to keep forever for 5 $ and then 10 $ for the tour and drink all the beer you want, and the beer is good, huge variety! and it’s all brewed in house and constantly changing. This is a badass idea and this place is going to be awesome.
You can also join the club and brew your own Keg and he’ll teach you how!
I can’t believe how awesome this place is.

In planning our wedding, my (now) wife and I wanted a reasonable alternative to dealing with bottled beer. We came across Taps From Scratch online and I was able to call David immediately and start working out the details. We had a very clear budget and he worked with us from the beginning to get us the types of beer we wanted and come in around the dollar amount we needed. The service, though, far exceeded the price we paid. They showed up, set up and made sure everything was flowing perfectly before they left. My wife even bought me one for our home as a wedding gift (best gift ever!) and when we expressed concern about getting it back to our house, David offered to deliver it there. After I put a keg in it, I was even able to call for advice on tweaking it to get the perfect pour a week later. That shows me that these guys are clearly invested in ongoing support to their customers. I would recommend Taps From Scratch to everyone I know. Especially those who are getting married.

We had a great experience at our 40^th high school reunion this past October. Taps From Scratch delivered the entire Pub Hub setup… along with the beer! We didn’t have to go get kegs, keep them on ice, blah, blah. They set everything up… then we all had to do quality control testing for a while :-) The next day TFS came back and took everything away. I still don’t know how they do it for only $ 60 (plus the cost of the beer). Great bunch of guys and great service!
