Will be visiting this place on Valentine’s Day with the Wifey. Will let you know how it goes.

Had the mixed vegetarian plate. Absolutely fantastic. Excellent service. Great vibe. Nicest restroom I have ever seen in restaurant. Highly recommend.

Wish there were six stars! This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining in — definitely top two. We started with baba ganoush and tabouleh — both out of this world. The bread was the star of the entire meal — fresh baked, hot and crusty — never had bread so good anywhere! My wife had the tilapia, I had chicken schawarma and my son the lamb schwarama. All excellent dishes — especially the lamb as I don’t particularly like lamb for it’s gaminess but the dish here was very good. It was a Friday evening off tourist season but was still surprised how few customers were there. It is a bit difficult to find as I was expecting a strip mall but instead it’s embedded between two office buildings on the first floor. We took a U-turn and some driving around before locating it. The key is to turn onto Production Way and then the first left into the parking lot and then either a left or right — but you have to look into an alley way of sorts to actually spot the entrance. It’s a shame there isn’t a bigger sign in the front to draw the Universal crowd. In addition to the great food and reasonable prices, the atmosphere is modern and comfortable with outside seating available. We did have an opportunity to chat with the owner/head chef and the GM which gave us more reason for the high rating. The only down side is the entrée menu does not have many selections so it might be helpful to have chef specials to add to the menu. As I mentioned, the bread is a killer — we had 2 large pieces which filled us up so we took some of our dinner home with us.

On a family vacation, it’s always a challenge to find something off the beaten path that delivers great food and a wonderful dining experience. This is one of those places. We had a fantastic Mediterranean meal here. The lamb was outstanding and the appetizers and deserts were very nicely done, too. If you are hunting a place to have the best meal on your vacation, this is that place. Great food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

Food was great, had baba ghanous and falafel and my hubby tilapia. But due to large party renting out whole place had to sit outside and it was a bit chilly. Could use maybe a heat lamp. I know this isn’t Chicago but it’s also not middle of summer. Otherwise service was great. Will come back again if we can sit inside.

New to the area and decided to stop here based on Unilocal reviews and we are so glad we did! The service was incredible and the food amazing. It’s a very trendy looking space but not easy to find if you don’t know how to get there. Very much worth the search! Falafel was the best I’ve ever had. Chicken kabobs came with two sides and was enough for two people. They have a full bar, televisions and hookah(outside only).

I know the area but I had never seen their Restaurant sign before so I had to Mapquest just in case. At the end, my instinct took me to the the new building next to Speedway gas station(formerly Hess) that is almost infront of Dr Phillips High Football Stadium: Location hard to find. By being the only restaurant in the middle of offices, I expected to find a different casual setting but I found a nice«trendy, glamourous, casual setting» instead. The prices also were glamorous, not casual. I had to clarify that I missed lunch prices and went to Dinner which was my bad. My lamb shwarma was not on pita bread like the version I know at the«over the counter restaurants». This dish was not assembled as I am used to. Also, modernity does not go always with traditions or etiquette: I was rushed to sign and pay right at the minute at the table on a tablet… mmm…I rather have my traditional paper slip… and not to be rushed… The portions were plenty but it was not easy to manage and not«trendy» to fill my «doggie bags» myself at the table: Lack of service. Nice place but a little higher bracket for my everyday cravings at night.

Here from out of town visiting friends and I was really craving some Middle Eastern food so I decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. I am sure glad that I did! The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! The stand-outs were the chicken kabobs with a nice spicy kick, the crispy falafel, and the fresh pita bread with a garlic yogurt sauce. I highly recommend this little neighborhood gem if you’re looking to try someplace new and authentic!

Food was great, especially loved the falafel and the lamb chops. I recommend the platters to share, gives you a chance to try everything. They have sweet potato waffle fries as a side that are not listed on the menu but are very good. Loved the drinks, I recommend the skinny mule. Very quiet, clean and nice décor. Service was great(shout out to Emily from NY) she was very attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Overall a pleasant experience, will definitely be returning soon!

Stopped by here for a business lunch. We were greeted by the friendly staff and seated promptly. Our drink order was taken promptly and delivered. After spending some time looking at the menu I order the lamb shawerma sandwich with tabbouleh. Our entrée was delivered promptly and I am pleased to say that everything looked and tasted fantastic. The sandwich was filled with tasty tender lamb and the wrap was crisp and tasty. A generous portion of delicious tabbouleh came with my sandwich and it was perfect. I washed it all down with some expertly executed cocktails while enjoying a hookah outside. A great experience all around and I look forward to my next visit.

This hidden place is awesome! My friend and I came to Orlando for vacation and tried this place on our third night here. Taboon Bistro doesn’t have an obvious sign from the street and we were all like«is this really the place??» when we drove by. But the restaurant is actually sitting in between two building — the location makes it a little hard to be found. We ordered the Mixed Washawi Plate, which was very delicious. This is a fantastic restaurant. Don’t miss out!

We were visiting orlando for vacation and found this restaurant on Unilocal. The staff verified, their meat is halal! Beautiful interior. Very friendly service. My husband and I got the middle eastern sausage appetizer and the mixed platter entrée(forgot the exact names, sorry). The meat was juicy and very flavorful. The salad was fresh and refreshing. The entrée portion was very generous could easily feed 2 – 3 people. On a side note– my husband claims the men’s room is one of the nicest he’s seen in a restaurant. I highly recommend giving the restaurant a try!

This place is phenomenal! Real authentic middle eastern food, and by far the BEST place I’ve ever been to in Florida(been to Middle Eastern restaurants in Miami & Ft. Lauderdale). We ordered the Mezza platter; a combination of appetizers like hummus, tabbouleh, baba ghannoug, labneh, and falafel. Everything was delicious and remind me of the food back home specially the falafel. I ordered the lamp chops and it was excellent, cooked perfectly, had some amazing flavorings and spices, and tasted so good. My wife had the kafta platter with rice and vegetables and she loved it. Great baklava and other deserts all made in house fresh. Baklava is up to par. The service was great! The owner, Michael, is a great chef and always around and on top of everything. Our waitress was very good and friendly. Service was excellent. They definitely have a repeat customer even if it is a bit out of the way.

Great options at very reasonable prices. I have had the opportunity to dine in many middle eastern restaurants, and quite a few households as well, so I have the good fortune of having been exposed to this cuisine from a very early age. It is always gratifying to find a gem like Taboon, where an effort is made to stay original while still being able to please a diverse crowd. Service has been patient and informative, and the flavors are always intense albeit, not overwhelming. We are fortunate to have this place close and convenient as we quite enjoy spending time and eating here.

We enjoyed our first visit here! Service was very attentive and the restaurant manager was nice enough to inquire about our experience. The falafel was very tasty. It was accompanied by their homemade taziki sauce and some pickled turnips that had an amazing flavor. I had lamb and my boyfriend ordered the scallops everything was cooked to our liking. The only thing I didn’t care for was my drink which was tequila based. We will definitely be back!

The food at Taboon is very good. We ordered the Halloummi cheese which was yummy, artichoke hearts which were huge and you get a ton of them, and the Soujouk which are Armenian sausage. My husband said they were really good. I got the vegetarian platter which has falafel, hummus, taboulleh, baba ghannouge, grape leaves & labneh & it came with a ton of pitas. You also get to choose two sides which was unnecessary because it was already lots of food. All was delicious though. My husband got the NY strip. He said it was overcooked but still tasty. Also came with two sides. He got the pickles(nothing special) and cheese fries. They were tasty but seemed out of place at a Mediterranean restaurant. The place is nicely decorated and has a nice outdoor area. It is hidden in a plaza on Turkey Lake Rd. & hard to find. From the street it looks like it’s just office buildings and there is only a tiny sign indicating what businesses are in there. And it looks like Taboon is the only thing there, nothing else has opened yet. We were there around 7ish on a Friday night & there was only one other table there. I hope business picks up for them & people are able to find their way there because the food is great.
