Honestly, I heard great reviews from a co-worker so I was really looking forward to trying this place. First, we ate there at lunch and when we ordered our drinks they were brought out and I was told there was no ice because they just opened. While I understand the issues, it did not make it a 5 star experience. Next we ordered our meals, I ordered the ziti lunch speacial with salad and a side of meatballs. I kept asking if they had a house dressing and there was language barrier on the girl understanding me so I opted for a simple italian to move on with my order. The girl came back a short time later and asked if I wanted a side of meat sauce, I said no, a side of meatballs. My meal came out… later, way later, it was hot and fresh but mediocre at best. The sauce was not a marinara robust flavor but more like a tomato sauce that is served out of a chef boyardee can; it meh. My meatballs did not come out so I questioned the girl when I would get them, she said she didn’t know I ordered meatballs. *Sigh* thank goodness I had company with me to verify I was not going crazy and indeed ordered a side of meatballs. When the meatballs came out they were ok, not great, not bad but they were fresh so that was good. Overall, the place is clean and I might try a pizza there but stay far from their signature dishes as they are far from classic italian.

Although not listed currently under brooklynpizzagroup’s website is def trying to be a more upscale Brooklyn Pizza(Pershing Ave Orlando FL) At this location the wait on you at the table and have similar specials, and actually since the price increase at my other favorite location is cheaper. The best thing is of course the food, damn good NY pizza made to order. They do seem to have a larger menu and the place is very nice looking and I am looking forward to trying some of the new items, when I do I will post a little better review than just my quick stop for a personal 10″ Meatball Pizza(very, very good pizza) If you are in the area of Goldenrod/Hoffner(opposite corner of Wawa in the Walmart/LA Fitness Plaza) stop by and try the new spot. You will not be disappointed. Yum! Aaron

3.5 stars I decided to pop in for lunch after passing this many times on the way to work. First impression: the place is clean and bright and food prep/pizza area is open and visible. Nice. My waiter was a young man who tried his best but clearly this is his first gig as a waiter. He was very nice and time should iron out the kinks.(he took my plate away before he asked if he could and I still had a bite left) ALWAYSASK. ALWAYS. Ordered the eggplant grinder and tossed salad lunch special. Typical mass produced purchased balsamic vinagrette. This is where restaurants drop the ball because it’s so easy to make a GREAT salad and dressing. Italian places should ALWAYS have a great salad. Even if it’s just a tossed salad. Eggplant parm grinder was good. I will be back to try some other things. The waiter was nice enough to tell me they deliver to a close by radius and then the next day was out delivering menus in my office park. I will definitely be back!
