I really like PIzzeria Del-Dio and have been there 3 times. Your neighborhood Naples style pizza place. Great Service and Nice servers. Pizza is top notch! And they have decent wine and generous pours. Not a lot of seating but I’ve never had a hard time finding a table. Add this to your restaurant rotation!

Ordered 2 Large pizzas and one gluten free pizza last night. Overall, we were pretty happy with our pizza! Hope to try it again for some pasta, knots, or a heart shaped pizza in the future. A long day of housework worked up a big appetite for my family and friends. We choose Del Dio as they were the closest pizza place that had gluten free crust for my mother in law who has an allergy. We enjoyed our cheese pizza and a meatlovers that came on a fluffy dough complete with bubbles and soft crust. MIL loved her gluten free margarita pizza. A treat for her as decent gluten free crust at a restaurant can be hard to come by. When I ordered over the phone, I did not receive a total for my order. We did pickup and the order was ready about 40 minutes after our call.

New to town from up north and decided to try this place out based on the reviews. I called in and ordered the spicy meatball pizza based on a picture on Unilocal, the girl taking the order did not really know what I was talking about with spicy meatball but took order anyways. I arrived to this little hidden hole in the wall behind the big box stores. Walked in to my not so surprise the pizza was wrong just had meatballs on it without the spicy jalapeño, or other peppers from the pictures on Unilocal. The girl who rang me up was not apologetic at all and said do I want the red sprinkles peppers to take home. I tried to make small talk with the owner/chief but he did not anything to do with it seem busy. If you don’t know the menu and someone say spicy would you not ask owner or manager? Spicy meatball pizza is not regular meatball pizza with red pepper sprinkles. Anyways I might of ordered wrong but went home with the pizza anyways and added some pepper sprinkles(not the same) It was a very good pizza even without the peppers. Maybe next time will have a better experience but you only get to make a first impression once. I will certainly try again since the pizza was good and better than the pizza franchises nearby. I give the food a 8 out of 10 and customer service on this visit a 4 out of 10.

What a great find! This is the quintessential«Mom and Pop«restaurant. The Del Dio special pizza is one of the best I’ve found in Orlando, the crust is outstanding and the toppings are plentiful. They use a mix of fresh yellow, red and green peppers that add an additional layer of flavor. The garlic knots are to die for. It’s a little hidden on the back side of a stripmall but there is plentiful parking. Make the effort to find them, it’s worth it.

Had a special experience here tonight :) Called ahead to get the heart-shaped pizza for my(pizza-loving) husband’s birthday. They had it all set up and ready for us upon arrival… it’s the little things :-D I chose Del-Dio because of their special pizza, but it was actually really good! Slightly greasy, yes… but, what good pizza isn’t? ;-) I would say that the wings are actually the best I can remember having at a pizza joint… meaty, nice breading, and delicious hot sauce!

This is the finest pizza place I have been to in Orlando. It’s owned and run by a tireless short old school Italian dude from NY who reminds me of my North East homeland. His daughter(s) also assist, although it’s clear he is the one with the passion and quality standards — he is behind the counter throwing dough, preparing ingredients and actually doing the cooking. The pizza here is so flavorful, fresh and authentic it’s hard to describe. It’s similar to any good pizza place in NY, NJ or CT — but they are in short supply down here in Florida. The knots and sauce are the best I have had ANYWHERE. The chunky marinara demonstrates the Italian truth that if you can’t eat the sauce by itself using a spoon, it’s not good Italian food. You honestly could not give me enough of the marinara from this place if you tried, tangy, rich, fresh and bold in spices — and the knots are the small style that comes with a delicious garlic/buttery sauce that is excellent for dipping. When the lady and I order we typically go with one of the signature pizzas and then do some substitutions — this appears cheaper then building one from scratch with the toppings I want. They have toppings that all chains and very few non legit Italian pizza places lack such as artichokes and sun dried tomatoes. The meatballs, I wish you could see the hand gestures I am making because i’m going full Italian right now — they will leave you in heaven. Some of the best meatballs I have had anywhere, and when used as a topping for a pizza send me into pizza heaven. They do deliver, which I only learned after picking up from here 3 times.

After doing some research on the best places to grab pizza in orlando, I found del dio. They are family owned and operated by New Yorkers which I appreciate because there ain’t nothing like a New York pizza, that’s for sure. Their food is pretty good. I ordered Sicilian pizza and their garlic knots and can’t complain about either of them. They drench their knots in this butter garlic sauce that I wish I had to eat with everything in my life. So good! It’s actually funny I was talking to one of the owners today, and he told me how he’s familiar with the small town my family lives on in Long Island(Centerport, small world)! Nice to talk to someone who knows home. Del Dio has a great family-oriented atmosphere. Nostalgic just thinking about it; like a little slice of NY right here in Orlando.

Found out this place was one of the top rated places for pizza in Orlando so I had to give it a try. I order take out and got one of their signature heart shaped pizzas. Take out was prompt and service was great. Pizza was good didn’t blow my mind but glad I got to order from there. Heart shaped pizza is awesome.

Not a fan of the pizza, but my husband LOVES the wings. Claims they are the best in Orlando, and cheap too! The pizza I find to be doughy and greasy, but they have an incredible garlic butter sauce that is delicious to dip crust in.

You know when you eat something so good, you have to clear your schedule of all activities just so you can sit down, prop your feet up, and enjoy tasting your delicious food in peace like the glutton you are? …That’s me and this pizza. I usually get a personal size margarita pie, mostly because I couldn’t stop myself from eating a whole 16″ pie if I ordered it. I’m a pizza purist — I don’t need anything elaborate or fancy. BUT fresh, homemade, robust ingredients are a must and Del Dio has them! The sauce is perfect — tangy, full of flavor, and not too much. The cheese is the best part — fresh chunks of mozzarella melted on, tastes so good. All of their meats are hearty, try the meatball and pepperoni! The garlic knots are to die for — warm, soft, and full of garlic. There’s usually a ton of butter/olive oil sauce on them. If you’re wearing a new shirt, you’re doomed! But it’s worth it. The marinara sauce never disappoints — it’s fresh, and never«tomato-pastey.» The interior isn’t anything special, just a little hole in the wall place, but those are usually the best ones! The manager is polite and welcoming. Never had bad service there. I haven’t tried other things on the menu yet because I fell in love with the pizza and stuck with it. But you MUST try.

My mom and I ordered this for dinner the day after we all got home from the hospital(my wife and I just had our first baby!). We had ZERO interest in cooking. So, I used Unilocal to check out nearby local pizza delivery places with good reviews. And I realized, I’ve driven by this place SO many times on our countless trips to Buy Buy Baby on Colonial. Yup, it’s in THAT plaza but tucked away in the back area. The guy on the phone was super friendly. I ordered one of their speciality pizzas… the Del-Dio or something. I forget. It had 4 or 5 different toppings. They told me it would be 45 minutes, but it was only 30 minutes MAX. The pizza was legit NY style pizza. and SO good! this is now my go-to place for pizza delivery. It’s not the cheapest, but damn, it’s good!

Del-Dio’s is family-owned casual pizzeria tucked away in the Colonialtown center. My friend loves their Italian Sausage with peppers and swears by it so I thought I’d give it a try for some take-out one night. I was in the mood for lasagna but feeling too lazy to make my own(my favorite by far). I called in my ordered and the woman on the phone said it would be ready in 15 – 20. When I arrived, they had my dinner all packaged up. The lasagna dinner comes with a house salad(lettuce, tomato, onion and olives) and a house vinaigrette with their garlic rolls. I’ll start with the lasagna which was a nice sized portion, plenty of marinara sauce which had a nice balance of acid and sweet — definitely tasted homemade, no jar stuff here. There is also a mix of a cream-based sauce that elevates the dish over tradition lasagna. They use a mix of beef & pork sausage and plenty of ricotta & mozzarella. Thumbs up! The garlic bread is topped with fresh garlic and perfect to dip into the sauce — great way to wrap up this A+ meal. I’ll be back to try their pizza for sure next time!

Couldn’t say I was a fan of the pizza. We ordered delivery which was done in good timing and the staff was nice on the phone and in person. My review is mainly based on the food. Large order of wings which was a decent amount and they were big wings BUT the outside was soggy and the meat tasted frost biten, hard n chewy. Didn’t like the wings much they could use some work. Special pizza was ordered and this also was a dissapointment. The dough itself was undercooked. not too undercooked but enough to defiantly notice. The meatball topping was great but the canned chewy mushrooms on top killed that notion. I would definately recommend this place getting fresh mushrooms instead of canned. All in all we were expecting some really good pizza and mediocre wings, both were below expectations and Unilocal has failed me this time around. Can’t win em all. a

I am shocked by the wings, they are phenomenal. Nice amount of breading, always well cooked, and the sauces are excellent. And it’s not just good for a pizza place, it’s good for a wing place. Which is not to take away from the pizza, it’s not as good as Italian house, but still the second best pizza in the area and I’ve tried pretty much all of them. Also, it’s a great group of people there. Very nice to get to meet the owner and see him making pizzas in the back with everyone else. You can tell they take pride in their food and it shows. The last thing I have to mention is the garlic butter sauce. It’s $ 1, get it. Doesn’t matter what else you order, just get the garlic butter sauce. We ordered it and put it on everything we are that day and the next. It was AMAZING!

You guyssss. I have finally found my go-to pizza spot in Orlando! This is the real deal. AND they make heart shaped pizzas. Who doesn’t like that?! I’m big on crust. It truly makes or breaks the pizza and boy this crust is perfect. Just crisp enough yet with that hint of chewiness that is necessary. If I closed my eyes, I’d think I was in NYC. The Greek salad with their homemade dressing was so good that I can’t stop thinking about it. I could probably eat it everyday. You can tell these guys really care about their craft and they sure do it well. The search is finally over. I foresee a LOT more pizza in my future!

One of my top priorities whenever I move to a different part of town is finding the best place nearby to get pizza. Great pizza is essential for a happy life. After being underwhelmed by one place that I won’t name, I decided to give Pizzeria Del-Dio a shot. As I always do when trying a new pizza place, I played it safe and ordered a cheese pizza. Folks, this is the real deal. I’m originally from New York, so I know a New York style pizza when I taste one. New York pizza just has that extra something that I’ve never been able to put my finger on. I figured the owners had to be from New York, so I checked the website, and, yep, Del-Dio originated in Brooklyn. I only met one member of the staff when I picked up my pizza, but he was very warm and friendly. The inside looks comfortable, so I don’t think I’d mind bringing in some friends to eat in. The location is kind of weird, though. I drive up and down 50 all of the time, and I never recalled seeing a Pizzeria Del-Dio. Turns out they’re in the plaza near the Bed, Bath, and Beyond and the restaurant faces away from 50. It’s no big deal. Just pull into the shopping center and you’ll see it. I look forward to coming back and trying the other kinds of pizzas as well as their calzones and stromboli. If the pizza is any indicator of the quality of the rest of the items, I’m in for a real treat.

First things first: My wife hates cheese, but she loves pizza(yeah, I know…). So it’s hard to find a good pizza place. Conveniently, Unilocal’s email feature last week was pizza. Del Dio rated highly, so we decided to give it a try(the Unilocal check-in bonus didn’t hurt). The secret to a good cheese-less pizza is flavorful sauce and ingredients. Most pizza places have mediocre sauce and try to cover it up with their cheese. Del Dio, however, is the real deal! They have a flavorful, rich red sauce. The crust was perfectly cooked: crispy outside, chewy inside. We both loved our pizzas. They were still good as leftovers the next day. After four years in Orlando, we’ve finally found our pizza place. We probably won’t try anywhere else for quite awhile.
