AAaaaahhhh… what a relief it is to walk into a place where you have classic cemented floors, dart boards, a pool table and a ping pong table. You have smoke lingering in the air, and the smell of old beer spills rubbed into the floors. Yep, I have probably found one of my favorite dive bars in downtown. I enjoy this place because: — The staff is down-to-earth — There’s great people watching outside — There’s a jukebox — They have guiness on tap Non-smokers beware — smoking is allowed inside. Doors are kept open but it can get super thick when it gets busy.

I like to stop in here from time to time and have a beer and shoot a rack or two of pool. It’s fun, laid back, the crowd is cool and the service is good. I don’t stay too long, maybe an hour or so out of a night out downtown.

Cool place! Ping ping table and pool tables. Very loud music blaring and inexpensive drinks.

Plus: Bar tenders here are great and offer fast service and a strong pour. Room to move and music is great. Darts and pool. They do have outdoor seating on the sidewalk. Yuck: Smoky! This is by far the smokiest bar I’ve been to in Orlando. If you appreciate breathing, this is not the place for you. Kinda grungy and bathrooms are nasty.

I like this bar, but their food is absolutely wonderful! The wings, quesadillas, and burgers are great. I would never have expected the food to be so good in this dive bar. One helpful word of advice: their medium wings are HOT enough! Don’t order the wings hot unless you really, really can tolerate HOT food. Their drinks are good, too. They have a ping pong table in the back which is always fun. They usually have some game on TV and their music is usually good as well.

I have a serious affinity for dive bars. They are the staple of my drinking life and have been responsible for many drunken afternoons leading into nights. I love quality beer and most dives aren’t known for that so the food is what keeps me coming. Heading into Pine street I was a little hesitant on what to expect, although the quality of beer didn’t matter to me at this point in the day. I didn’t want to take a nap and needed to be able to last until well into the night so I could watch the fights next door at the Clubhouse, so my stop here was to refuel and keep it going. The girl who seemed liked the only one working the whole, decently crowded place was absolutely awesome. She gave us the key to the pool table so we didn’t have to pay and kept the Yuenglings flowing. Now, it was time for food so I settled on the mushroom and swiss burger while my girlfriend opted for the chicken cheesesteak. The burger was decently sized, full of flavor and hit the spot. The crispy, deep fried onion rings seemed like they absorbed the booze right out of my stomach and gave me the power to keep going. The chicken cheesesteak was filled to the brim with chicken cube things that were seriously awesome and full of flavor. If I lived here I could definitely see myself here kinda like I always find myself here . Great place, nice people and good food; a must if your a fan of the dive.

This bar is great if you want to get away from all those annoying, trendy downtown bars where it takes 20 minutes to get a drink. The bartenders are so cool and really down to earth. The food is pretty good too. It’s really great if you’re interested in hanging out and having fun and just letting loose. This is where the real people go, lol. The jukebox has a ton of great songs too.

Wow, I never knew Pine Street was a grill. Makes sense now that I think about it, there are always people hanging out on the sidewalk tables out front during dinner hours. This bar has always been to me a typical dive. They have two rooms– one with tables, a few TVs, and a bar and a second room with pool tables. This bar can be somewhat boring in my opinion but I’ve never been a big dive bar type gal. The times I have been here I must admit were fun but in a low key kind of way. Though its popular, its never that crowded so if you are a mingling, checking out the scene type bar goer there won’t be much to see here. But, if you are already with your group and just want an easy going place to chill and chat this would be a perfect spot. Plus, it would be good for shooting pool and the staff has always been friendly so I’ll give it 3 stars and say those who appreciate a good dive will have found one in Pine Street Bar.

A new friend of mine and her husband love this dive bar. They and their group of friends make their way here frequently so when Sunday came around again and it was time to watch some football I figured this was the perfect chance to see why they like it so much. They do have the NFL ticket and some strong drink specials if you didn’t get enough alcohol on Friday and Saturday. For $ 5 you can enjoy Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark libations. Also feel free to smoke. There were ashtrays on all the tables yet the doors were open and it didn’t seem as smoky as it could have been. We chose to sit in the side room which is a step down from the main bar area and looked as if it was a converted garage many years ago. The concrete floors and brick walls gave it a «rough» feel. In other words, it’s not a bar where you go to enjoy the décor and swanky art on the wall because they have none of that. They do have a pool table though and about 5 dart board games on top of flat screen TVs. No juke box though. They mix the seating up with high tops and booths that look like they’ve seen better days. But again, they also seem not to care that they aren’t the most modern bar in town. Expect typical bar food if your belly starts calling. Burgers start at $ 6.25 and go up to about $ 8 for the double patty version. They have fried appetizers as well as nachos which I happened to see. For $ 7.50 you are served a basket of chips covered in real cheese, chicken or beef, onions, tomatoes and jalapenos. Salsa and sour cream were served on the side. Definitely big enough to share if you wanted. Other notable items were the grilled cheese that could be served on whole wheat bread if you wanted and their chicken wings. For $ 7.25 you are served 10 wings tossed in sauces that range from mild, medium, hot, garlic, teriyaki, honey mustard or BBQ. Overall it’s the type of place that only a mother could love. Well not really, but the type of bar that their main customers will forever frequent because they will always be the same and are not trying to be something they’re not: fancy, high-tech and upscale.
