Great little place to take the puppy for a long walk. Its clean and there are markers on the trail for emergencies which is nice.

This place is beautiful! I just moved next to the trailhead and I will say this is my favorite addition to my apartment complex!

I am a huge fan of the Little Econ Greenway. I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this yet. This is a great trail that winds besides the river and is a great place for walkers, runners, and cyclists. I usually start at the parking lot on East Colonial Dr(E. 50) and run my way all the way to the YMCA near Blanchard Park. That’s just under 10 miles roundtrip. The bonus is you only have to cross traffic a couple of times, otherwise you won’t come close to vehicles. This is a bonus in Orlando especially since the drivers of this city have plowed down more pedestrians and cyclists than anywhere else in the country. There are some areas of the trail that are pretty isolated so ladies especially may want a running or biking partner in the wee morning hours for safety, but otherwise the trail is pretty popular(without being overly crowded) As a bonus, since the trail is along the river almost the entire way, I have seen more gators here than anywhere else in Central Florida and some of them are frigging big! There are also clean bathrooms close to either end of the trail. Overall, this is a wonderful place to burn some calories. I shall return.

I love the Little Econ Greenway. It is located inside J. Blanchard Park and is nice for exercising(walking, biking, running, skating, roller blading, etc.) or just hanging out along the water’s edge and watching the animals do what they do. Definitely a plus in my book.

This is quite a long trail; it goes from Lokanotosa Trail to Goldenrod Rd. The surroundings are very natural and pleasant for the most part. One gets the sense of being in the natural world; however, at times one is drawn back to the modern busy world when the trail intersects with streets. There are lake, ponds, and rivers that go quite nicely with numerous trees and plants. The trail also cuts through or come close to a few parks, where children playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields, pavilions, etc. are seen. One sure can get plenty of outside exercises through this quite nice environment. People on the trail range from bikers to joggers, from skateboarders to roller-skaters, from dog walkers to couples. To be on this trail is to experience the fresh air, the wildlife, the serenity of this beautiful earth.

A great way to enough a nice river run, walk, or bike. If you are into the active live then this is a nice addition to your repertoire of spots to check out. If may be worth a drive since a great portion of this trail follows the Little Econolohatchee River. There is a nice place for parking at Blanchard Park or off of East Colonial Drive and Goldenrod with more parking at Blanchard Park, but I have never seen Goldenrod’s full up. The 7.4 mile trail which ends close to University of Central Florida(UCF) is a great thoroughfare for commuters to school, work, or fun. There are not many facilities along the path, but it does run through a urban area so you aren’t far from civilization. There are some stopping spots on the trail for resting. Additionally, just outside Blanchard park is the YMCA. They have the only likely facilities on the trail. The trail is partially shaded at times with trees but also has open areas in direct sunlight I would recommend sunscreen. As a bike trail keep in mind that you will have to cross some major roads and not all crossings are directly in line with the other side so it would be advisable to map it out first and then ride it.

Great bike trail for starters. There are nice views and is it is pretty short ride. Nice park as well. If you are looking for high hills, this is not the place, it’s actually pretty flat. Great for families, couples, single, everyone!

This is another biking trail that I actually didn’t know about until just recently. The Little Econ Greenway is right where Blanchard park is and is smaller than some of the other bike trails, but is quite nice in its own right, and good if you’re in the area. The Good: Butterflies!: There is a very nice butterfly garden on the Econ trail, which makes this one ideal for nature lovers. A nice short trip: This trail is only about four miles long, which makes it great for families visiting the park. Of course you can only go a little bit and turn back, but I find if you can go all the way to the end and pack it is sort of a self-esteem booster for the kids. The Bad: N/A Overall 7.8÷10 = Hit the Econ Trail!
