Gator’s Dockside

This place is great and appreciated for the following reasons: the food is excellent, and the staff is EXTREMELY friendly. We have a bad seafood allergy, and the manager Trevor came out (without us having to ask) to see if we were willing to wait, our wings would be cooked in separate oil from the seafood. We were more than willing to wait, and that was the first time I ever recall being offered that option at any restaurant. Our server, Kristina, was also attentive and excellent. We would absolutely go there again. Food allergy-​friendly restaurants are hard to come by, and honestly we would have had a good time regardless but the experience was much better with this staff.

Fried clam strips heavily breaded but good, alligator bites that were tender and six chipotle BBQ wings and six sweet Thai wings that were very good and not overwhelmed by the sauce like some places do. Very good and good service. The expanded menu had a lot of items we will be back to try.

Ahhh, yes, Gator’s will always be my first and TRUE love for amazing wings and wing sauce flavors. Many a Monday nights were spent in their original and dingy OBT location when my kids were barely knee-​high for the famous all-​you-​can-​eat wings. It was my family’s neighborhood joint and it never failed us.
Now, many years later, we visit my DD at UCF and my cuz lives up the road from this Hunter’s Creek location so I try to stop in on one of those quick trips. Usually, I get it to-​go and all is well in the world once I sink my teeth into my favorite juicy Hot Teriyaki wings. It’s kind of a pain to call in the order because the girls answering the phone aren’t always the sharpest knives in the drawer. I’ve had a few mixups and confusions but they are usually corrected quickly with no fuss.
I wish other so-​called wingmasters would follow in Gator’s footsteps and give us CHOICES. I like all the variations of flavors, they 3 ways in which you can get the wings prepared and the ability to split them up any which way you’d like. Bravo, Gators, bravo!

What a beautiful location! We came in and servers and hostesses standing around, NO acknowledgment.. When we were finally Sat our server was awesome! New place and a great place just the kinks need working out:) Definitely will be back…

First time at gators and I didn’t know what to expect. I walked in with a group of my friends and we waited but the host didn’t greet us, we asked her for a table for 4 and she quickly rushed us to our table. It was a busy Monday night so I understood the rush.
Our waitress Tina was such a sweetheart making sure we got everything and was really polite and kind.
I ordered a signature Gator tail dish, and it was not what I thought it was. It looked like popcorn chicken… and It tasted like unflavored Chicken it was bland. Luckily there was honey mustard to actually get a taste out of it. I was disappointed.
But our waitress Tina did an amazing job at keeping with our order and making our experience better than what it was.

I came previously and had a very bad experience. The management contracted me about the visit and made amends.
This visit was a drastic improvement. I came at the same time on the same day of the week. The host staff was friendly and accommodating.
Our server was polite, efficient and charming with our younger guests.
Food was correct and timely.
Gators has redeemed itself to me.

I’ve been here two times. Both visits we had fast and friendly service. The burgers and wings were both very good. The menu has something for everybody.

The Gator’s Dockside was overall a good place to eat. There was a 20 minute wait when we got there due to a crowd but the hostess was very nice.
Once we got seated the waitress took our drink orders and was very speedy the rest of the night.
My Dad was really looking forward to the Gator tail appetizer. He was a little disappointed when he realized it was commercially breaded and not more home made. I ordered the Mac n Cheese burger which was delicious. Others in my family got the Hawaiian Pork chops and the Cajun fettuccine Alfredo and the shrimp dinner. All three got the thumbs up for tastiness.
Overall: the service was good, the food was good, just that one little disappointment we should have realized when it was a chain.

This a great sports bar with great food. They always have nice specials: Monday is all you can eat chicken wings !!! The grill ones are awesome, but today I tried the Gyros and they didn’t disappoint also beer special was a $ 1.99 draft but they were a little but flat, but overall great place.

First time to Gators, was not impressed. The inside was like a nice bar. Greeted at the door and immediately sat down. I heard they had good wings. The lunch «special» we got were 10 wings with fries and drink for $ 10.
Wings: chose one sauce and to have it fried or grilled. We chose an order of jerk and an order of chipotle bar b q. Both were to be spicy, there was no kick. Dried out, over cooked. So sad.
Fries: fried hard and salty, they were over cooked, nothing to brag about
$ 3 drink from bar was alright (different specials — $ 3 for one liquor drink. Price goes up from there. Also had beer specials)
Service: started alright, but server did not keep checking in — checked once after someone else brought us the food (long wait so dont go in hungry or in a rush) and I had to go find him for our bill as he had disappeared. I am very patient, but when there are only about 3 tables occupied in entire place and 4 at the bar, I expected better service. These were not even all of his customers. I really did not feel a good vibe in this place .
Maybe their fried wings are better, but I am not interested in trying them.
Not interested in returning.

Went here by chance. Saw it driving by. I have to say I am glad that I did. The food was esquisit. I had the Egg Bacon Burger and my wife had the California Cobb salad. They were so delicious that it caught me by surprise. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we had to pay an extra charge for Ranch and had to ask for the lettuce tomatoes and Onions for my burger. This being a chain restaurant having to do these things should be unnecessary. The Prices were decent but the taste of the food was definitely a game changer. Also this is definitely a fun place to watch sports. We will definitely be back again.

We had such a good time, bingo was going, which was fun, the place was packed. Josh took excellent care of us as we ordered food and round after round. He was courteous, efficient and a master of his craft. As a fellow hospitality industry worker he impressed me. The food came out in a timely manner and served to order. We had an issue with our last order and Josh was quick to handle it and the manager was quick to address it. I can honestly say we will be back to make more memories at this local place and will continue the rest of our night satisfied and happy!!! Thanks Josh!!!

New restaurant, was very busy, very clean, service provided by Katie and Coco was fantastic, burger was prepared exactly as ordered. Good experience.

I stopped there with my wife to watch UFC Silva vs. Diaz when we were visiting Orlando. Place was packed. We really liked their beer specials and food was great. We were waiting for the table and finally never got it but it was OK because our server was super nice, found us some chairs so we can sit down in front of TV screen and enjoy fights, beer and food.
I wish I remembered her name so I could mention it but maybe next time I will see her again and update my review.
It would be nice if a manager found a solution for us or even show up to tell us what is going on with a table but I understand — it was a busy night. We’ll definitely go there next time to watch fights :)

THE BENNIGAN’S MONTE CRISTO SANDWICH LIVES!
After a moderately awful day, I decided what I wanted was delicious, fried comfort foods. We started out with the Gator’s Combo Platter appetizer (boneless wings tossed in your choice of sauce, mozzarella sticks, potato skins and fried onion petals). Yummy, and served hot!
And then there was the Monte Cristo sandwich! If you remember the version from Bennigan’s, this one is it’s doppelgänger. Traditional turkey breast, ham, Swiss and American cheese on wheat bread, battered and fried golden brown; served with powdered sugar and raspberry jam. It was piping hot, and exactly what I needed in order to eat my feelings!
Service was wonderful, at 5 PM the place was positively empty, and had we any tummy room left over, their dessert selection looked really good!

This place is one of my favorite places to go to whenever I’m trying to catch a game and I’m in the mood for some great food and drinks. Great drink specials at night and the bar that’s half inside half outside was a great idea so your smokers can still drink beer and enjoy the game with a smoke not to mention the ac blasting you so you won’t get hot while outside in this Florida heat. Staff is very friendly and helpful. In the mood for drinking with some friends order a Big daddy you won’t regret it.

Good service. Wings were ok, nothing special. Lots of TV’s. It was a little loud (was there on trivia night) so it was hard at times to have a conversation.

We came here looking for something other than the standard chain food places from home. They have plenty of flavors of wings. I decided to the Yucatan, based on our servers recommendation. These were excellent! Very different flavor. It had a lime and smokey flavor to them. I even ordered the 6 wings with 4 alarm suicide on the side. The sauce was good, but as our waiter warned, it is very hot. Many places with a very hot sauce don’t taste very good, so if you are looking for very spicy yet tasty, try these. We also had the gator bites which were good.

To loud, to many uncontroled kids running around raising hell. Not what I expect at 8:00 Saturday night. Good aray of games on big screens but speakers are blaring and annoying.
Good food.

We came here a few weeks after the grand opening. Having been to other dockside restaurants before, we knew what to expect. They have a good selection of American sports bar food.
The kitchen, when we went, was extremely backed up. We waited 40 minutes before our entrees came. Never had that type of experience. The food was cold and soggy by the time our dishes came in. I would expect the kinks to be worked out by the third week of business.
Definitely just isolated to this location. I haven’t had an experience like this at the others.
