Children’s Academy At Loch Haven

I’ve had my daughter enrolled here for 6 months.
Of all the options in the College Park area, this one offered the most comprehensive services for infant care. (I compared them about a year ago).
Infant care includes: Enfamil formula (standard or soy), beechnut jarred baby foods (veggies only), wipes, they will clean baby’s bottles each day, wash baby’s crib sheet each week, they have a nurse on staff, two number-​access security doors and more.
Me and the kiddo go to school everyday and I don’t need to take anything with me most days. I do bring diapers and fresh clothes as needed.
For full time care, the price only includes 10 hours per day. At first I thought this would not work for me, but it has worked out well. They also offer additional hours (they’re open from 6 am to 8 pm) for only $ 6 per hour — billable in quarter hours. Which so much less expensive than other daycares who can charge by the minute!
My child was assigned a particular care giver who got to know her best. That didn’t mean that my child always had the same person watching her — but it helped that someone knew her routine and her personality.
They separate infants based on skill level. So really small babies who cannot crawl are in one room and babies who can are in another.
Having a nurse on staff has been amazing. Babies get sick. My child has been no exception. So, it’s nice to know someone can check to see how she is doing. And, with doctors orders and parent permission, they will administer medicine (i.e. Tylenol for a teether).
I’ve enjoyed having my child enrolled here.
