History

Established in 2012.

After working for some of the Chicagoland’s premier home audio video custom installation stores, the owner of CALTeK decided to take his experience and open CALTeK.

We have been using Steve for over 10 years. His work is truly exceptional. We just recently moved and he installed all of our TV’s, sound system and our security cameras. We love all of it. He is always there to answer any questions we have very quickly. He is on time, professional and very neat. Would highly recommend Steve.

Steve and the guys at CALTek are amazing. Simply amazing. Great customer service from day one. They went above and beyond to make sure that their installation was seamless. And it was. Our flat-​screen now looks amazing mounted above our brick fireplace. Instant equity. Don’t be tempted to go cheap. I know I got more than my money’s worth. Impeccable work.
I only review service companies that do an outstanding or terrible job (I don’t think it’s always fair to give a so-​so review just because someone didn’t knock my socks off), but CALTek more than deserves top rating. Is there any way that I can extra stars?

I can’t say enough about them. First, they showed up on time, which I had problems with another wiring company to even show up. Second, they were courteous and KNOWLEDGEABLE. They showed me the poor job the other wiring company did when they hung my tv, but Steve fixed their work and added the proper wiring covers. They cleaned up their mess and explained everything to me. Truly a great, knowledgeable, and dependable team.

Exceeded my expectations tenfold
There’s a reason why CALTek is a five star reviewed company. First things that come to mind are professionalism, hard-​working people, loyalty, dedication etc. all provided to the customer. Why would anyone in their right mind go with a competitor of theres when you can’t beat their prices. Not to mention the intangibles I listed above. The job that Steve performed exceeded my expectations tenfold. After he was finished I was in awe of the transformation that took place in my house. The first thing guests comment upon entering my house is the TV mounted over my brick fireplace. Yes, a very difficult job to accomplish. But Steve does the impossible whereas his competitors find the work not possible. Need I say more? Thanks again Steve you did a masterful job in the living room and my master bedroom. Happy holidays brother and God bless.

Once Steve arrived (on time) we realized he installed our home theatre system nine years ago. That was an awesome job then and the two professional installs today including running wire through the walls and adding outlets was exemplary. We highly recommend this family owned company. and already have Steve scheduled to do more work for us.

These guys knew what customer service meant from the second they stepped foot in our place. They came by just to have a look at what we wanted done before we even agreed to use them.
Steve was top notch and detailed oriented. He worked with us to ensure we had the look we were going for and had our TV and cabinet mounted perfectly. He kept everything neat, clean, and even cleaned up some shoddy wiring work left by another company. They took their time, and were very meticulous in their work from beginning to end.
I would totally recommend them to anyone and would use them again for future work.

Steve and Jason were very professional and knowledgeable in their work. That went out of their way! I had a TV mount below my kitchen cabinet that flips up so it’s out of the way. It looks fantastic! We also had surround sound in 4 different areas of our home that you control from your phone or tablet. All I can say is: Awesome! !!!

This is a great company that does TV installations. They did work for us in Dec 2013 and were fantastic. The wiring was all put behind the walls & smart tv was hooked up to internet. I was able to have Steve pick up a tv & install it as a surprise for my husband when he was out of town. I would highly recommend Caltek.
I did try to contact them recently but was not able to get in touch with them. I’m not sure if they are still in business but I hope they are.

I just had Steve and Jason complete my job yesterday and I can’t be happier. In my opinion, they went above and beyond what they promised to do. They listened to what I wanted and they delivered. They cleaned up the work that was done by the company that originally set up my room and put in a simple to use, high quality product to go along with a superior installation. They were very prompt, polite, professional and fun to work with. I will find opportunities to use them again in the future and refer them to as many people as I can.

I recently was looking to have a new tv installed and was interested in speakers. I wasn’t sure where to turn to since I am not interested in working with any of the retailers in the area, and the old company I used to turn to (Tweeter) has been gone for quite some time. I ran across this company online and boy am I happy I did. Pricing was great. Service was great (and on time!). Best of all, the work was done right! I had a bad experience with another company so I have been wary of doing another project. I greatly appreciate Steve and his crew. Highly recommended!
