We take the kids every year for Halloween and Christmas, as adults, we love it. We brought my parents this year because no kids were available-and they loved it. We made a night of it and had dinner in Carver, it was great fun. Yes, it’s a drive from Portland. Some of it is cheesy and there are certainly many kids running around screaming. So chase them(or if it’s Halloween, hide in the tunnel and scare the hot chocolate right out of their hands). Appreciate the cheese! Appreciate the castles and little houses, a walk in the woods. You can go around as many times as you want. I took my friend’s daughter around 5 times before she got tired of it. There is a lack of little kid friendly Halloween stuff to do, this is perfect. It is bizarre Oregon at it’s finest. Really fun for all ages, super friendly family.

We went last night. I have a 4 year old grandson and he loved it. The lights and all the characters. He love the tunnels and the slides. We did this as a family and I did think that kids over 12 would find it a little tame, but as adults we really loved watching the kids have such a good time. If you have children 3 – 4 you might want to bring a flashlight as you are walking a trail through the woods with lights on the ground showing you the way but not always very bright

I think I didn’t really expect it to be SO much for kids! Its a long drive from Portland and its not really clearly marked so you better have a GPS — even then, you might get a little off track. We paid $ 5 to walk through the woods with a bunch of cheesy plastic lights displayed in odd manners — including a pirate maze leftover from Halloween but dressed up for Christmas. Strange. People were nice who ran it. Took us about 5 minutes to go through and about 45 minutes to drive back to the city. Please spare yourself and at least make sure you’ve got REALLY young kids with you that will think anything thats lit up is exciting. The plus is — I think we walked off the bread from dinner… thats about it.

We took the kids and grandma here this past weekend. What a great place! It’s really obvious they have put a lot of time and energy into the«castles» and ‘houses”. The trail was just scary enough during the day for my toddler and interesting enough to keep the adults, well, interested. We plan on going to check it out at Christmas, too. Any maybe next year my toddler will build up enough courage to go into the haunted castle. Bwah ha ha ha haaaaaa…

I took my 3 and 9 month old to check it out. My 3 year old was terrified and it was broad daylight. The 9 month old didn’t mind at all. I thought it was fun for kids. It would be scarier at night. The haunted castle was very dark and discombobulating, and I was the only one brave enough to venture in. They had a giant mountain of sand for my 3 year old to play in and that is where all the other kids visiting that day were, too. The pumpkin had about 25 pumpkins in it… Not too impressive. The man running the ticket booth was exceptionally kind, however.

Worth the trip, we love this place. We have been here twice for the Halloween event. We went once at day and once at night. The day is better for little kids who get spooked at night. Admission is $ 4.50 adults andn $ 3.50 kids.
