No more meals at this place. It’s the third time they’ve padded the bill after a meal. This last time we went they added $ 10 to the bill and when we called them on it they blamed«the calculator.» It was just my wife and I and any third-grader could add it up with a pencil. The other two times it was $ 5 and $ 8 respectively. NOMOREMEALSATTHISPLACE. If you go, look closely at the bill!!!

We’ve been here a few times, mostly because of the convenience vs. seeking it out. The food is mostly your typical mexican fare that is done with competence but not excellence. There are a few Peruvian dishes on the menu, I’ don’t have anything to compare them to so I’m not sure how good they are relative to other places and to be honest, a «salad» of lettuce, sausages, french fries and eggs is not something I’d eat given other options. The chips are one of the features of this place that you should definitely target. Light, crisp, warm, good salsa and refilled before you run out. Always a plus. Service was pretty good.

We arrived at noon, on a Tuesday, party of nine. The establishment looked nice and open. We were promptly seated and serves chips with dip, then drinks. Five to ten minutes in, all orders were taken, drinks, chips and dip refilled. About ten minutes later the food arrived. I posted most of the meals. Everyone was satisfied with their food, which was authentic quality. We did find the ground beef a bit bland, but it did stand out as such until tasted alone. To top it off, we received e 15% by check-in online. When comes to cost, it was what I expected for the quality and serving size we received. The lunch special is filling and just cost $ 1 more than the lunch combos. We went as a family and enjoyed our restaurant outing. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food is very good here, and I was surprised to find reasonably authentic Peruvian in a strip mall. The Green Chili Rice with Chicken was yummy and the house margarita wasn’t bad, either. Friendly service and plenty of seating. I would go again.

The Restaurant is located in a strip mall but don’t let that fool you its great food. The food is hot and chips are okay but you have to always look for the waitress or waiter to give you additional chilI though. The price is right and it’s always a busy place when you get into the restaurant, but very quickly once you get there you will be seated quickly. I enjoy going to this restaurant it is a restaurant that is family own and the food is always consistent. Worth going.

My wife found a piece of glass in her drink. We alerted the staff and we still had to pay for the drink. I wouldn’t run my business that way. The food is good, the service is good just hope they clean up the kitchen. We will never go back.

As a Peruvian, I have high standards on Peruvian food. This place may appear to be a hole in the wall joint, but it is by far the most authentic place to go in Portland. Their chicken and fries was perfect, the ceviche had good flavor, and I liked their rice and beef dishes. The best part was they had the Inca Kola by the bottle and their homemade sauces were really good. Overall great food and excellent service.

I’m sure the Mex food is good. However, I went there for the Peruvian food, it was terrible. The«seco» was dry(no beans) and the«arroz chaufa» was mex rice with chicken. After a few bytes it ended up in the garbage. I’ll try one of the Peruvian restaurants in Portland tomorrow to get my fix. In short, if you want Peruvian, don’t go here. The Mex food is probably really good.

My favorite Mexican place. My first time here was back in 2005 right after moving back to Oregon. I was surprised by how fast the food came out, and the food quality was fantastic. I have been here too many times to count. There food is very consistently good. I usually order the same thing, chicken enchiladas. The sauce is perfect. The chips and salsa are good, and they are generous with refills. They have a full bar and the margaritas are excellent. The family that owns it is hands on. The service has always been good. They can easily accomodate large parties. They have live music on the weekends and it is not uncommon to see kids up dancing. My only gripe is that the ladies room is very small. Other than that i can’t wait to go back.

I went here for the first time ever after living nearby for 6 years. I was hung over and a friend was over and so thought«what the hell» and went there. It was bad Mexican food, and I’ve had much better. but it was what it was. I had a bean tostada. The beans were pretty watery… and bland, but the guacamole was good and the hot sauce I poured on it helped as well. The server was very friendly and kind, and the atmosphere was big and roomy and clean. It wasn’t a horrible experience. just not my kind of food place is all.

I’ve eaten here about six times over the last 15 years or so. That alone should help to summarize my overall feeling about this joint. Never outstanding and yet never really disappointing, it’s the epitome of mediocrity. The one consistent factor that always shines for me is the friendly staff. The service is always quite good and the place is always clean. Great for families and groups as well as for a date night, the atmosphere is homey and inviting. If you’re looking for knock-your-socks-off grub, you likely won’t find it here. Nevertheless, the food is always good and La Hacienda is always a safe bet. I will continue to return but not too often as I can find better grub elsewhere.

Good service, food is average but spendy(small iceberg salad with steak $ 11.50), live music was nice. Drink seemed on the weak side. No Draft beer. But id say food did seem slightly better than you would expect at a strip mall restaurant.

This was my first time here and it was very good. The Carne asada burrito was big and the carne asada was cooked perfectly. The chips and salsa were good as well as the fresh made guacamole.

I have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. The service is good, fast and the wait staff are friendly. They have a full menu with drinks and soda. The food is always good and never greasy, I have never had any complaints with the food. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

I have never been disappointed with La Hacienda! My family and all the people from our church have been going there for the past 20 years. There have been many menu changes, but the classics always remain. I highly recommend the fajitas or anything Peruvian. They started out as just Mexican and started branching out into Peruvian fare in the late 90s, pretty sure that’s why it’s still advertised as Mexican. This place is very family-friendly and the service is incredible. The chips and salsa are unmatched and until the liquid mandates post 9/11, I used to take it on the plane back to Hawaii every Christmas. It’s not what you would expect from a strip mall restaurant, but definitely stop in and check it out!
