Woodworking LA Custom Cabinets

This review is long overdue, but thanks to Woodworking OC, my husband and I have a beautiful book/​shelf case along with front window seating with large pullout drawers below. They did our home a couple years ago, and they were extremely professional, thorough, and quick in responses, planning, and workmanship. We haven’t had a single issue with any of the cabinetry/​bookcase/​bench/​drawer work that we had done! If we ever have any shelving/​cabinetry projects, we will definitely look them up again!

I’m extremely disappointed with this business. I tried reaching out to them back in October 2014 because I wanted a full-​surround, fireplace mantle created. I’m writing this now because I only recently started writing Unilocal reviews.
I initially e-​mailed them but never received a response. A few weeks later I called Alex’s number on 2 separate days and left messages and still no one returned my calls. I really wanted to hire them due to all the rave reviews on Unilocal so another week later I finally tried calling Jack and he actually picked up his phone but he said to me, «We are very busy right now. Maybe Alex will call you back and maybe not, but I will tell him you called. Bye».
Seriously??? Wow… Even if my job was too small for them to want to take on, they should have the decency to tell me so instead of giving me the run-​around. Maybe we’ll call, maybe we won’t? That is terrible customer service and a great way to make people feel like crap. And of course they NEVER bothered calling me back.

Alex and his team at WoodworkingLA did a fabulous job with a custom wine frig/​China cabinet that matches my existing cabinets. My friends can’t believe how beautiful the new piece is! I had a sketch and he made cabinet, incorporating some great ideas that he had. I solicited 3 bids. Alex and another woodworker were within $ 200 of each other, the other was $ 1000 MORE. I chose Alex because of WoodworkingLA’s service. His was the only company that came to the house to measure and look at the existing cabinets. The other two did everything over the Internet. My husband and I enjoy the cabinet every day and are happy we used WookworkingLA. Oh– the installers were terrific and I even had them retrofit my existing drawers to make them full extension. I am thrilled with the entire job.

I am absolutely in love with kitchen cabinets and new bed this guys made for me ! I asked them to show me few different designs and went with great modern look and wood quality is great! I love it, so all my family and friends! Definitely would recommend this truly talented artists to everyone who want good quality great design kitchen and cabinets! just look at their pictures! Found them online!

I called this company because of the five star review. The service i received is definitely not a five star. After coming over to my house to measure and take picture he told me he is going to call and email the design and the estimate in a week. I waited for a month, no call amd email. I didn’t bother calling him back because if they are flaky in the beginning, why would I trust them? You guys need to call me for apology!

Woodworking LA did a great job on our custom built-​ins to match the existing cabinets in our new Irvine house (Portillo Springs). Alex came out on a weekend on short notice to take the measurements and discuss what we wanted. I had some photos of the model home built-​ins which I wanted to copy. Alex took the measurements and sent me drawings and details of what they were going to do. The end product was beautiful and matched our existing kitchen cabinets (open concept great room next to kitchen) perfectly. The cabinets looked better than the model home cabinets at a fraction of the cost. Very happy that we chose Alex and his company. Highly recommend.

My interior design company works with Woodworking LA for custom cabinets. They understand our design needs and do quality work and craftsmanship. Not many cabinet makers know how to do modern design with special requests that are out of the ordinary, but Woodworking LA can definitely deliver. We appreciate their skills and knowledge, as well as reliability and professionalism.

We hired woodworking OC/​LA to create a custom island for our kitchen, new fireplace façade and built-​ins. We are so impressed and couldn’t be happier with the results. I am so «over the top» impressed with the custom cabinets I had built. Today, It is so rare that a company delivers a product better than you expect… and that is what happened here. I am told by my husband and good friends that I am a «picky» person, and to impress me, you have to really do something great… and they did!!!
