This is a wonderful little taco shop that serves fresh and yummy food. I love their breakfast burritos and fresh juices. The salsa bar also contains some mildly spicy marinated carrots, cauliflower and onions that I crave every time I’m in Orange. Love this place.

First time trying taco Mesa! The food was good! It definitely tasted«clean» and«healthy.» This might have been why it was as satisfying to me as the Mexican food I am used to. Regardless, it was still great. We had the blackened chicken enchiladas, calamari burrito, and split the beet salad. Their salsa bar was also superb. Will definitely be back to try a few other options on the menu! Also, I had gone to nekter in the same shopping center to get a juice before we went to eat. But when I got to taco Mesa, I learned that they have fresh juices on their menu! Will definitely try one of these next time.

Pretty good food. Came for their burrito Wednesday, a burrito, rice, beans, and a drink for $ 8. It was alot of food! You can also make your burrito wet as well. The sauce for the wet burrito tastes like a tomato sauce, different but good. I got the blackened chicken burrito which came with cabbage inside. Chicken was pretty tasty. The rice and beans were good as well. They lose a star because I got a horchata and it was terrible. It tasted like a mouthful of powder or chalk, it was just not good. Overall great food, but stay away from the horchata.

Store front location across from In and Out. Great food and comfortable atmosphere with friendly service. The carnitas plate with their special chopped veggies was extra yummy. My son & I went after a baseball game at 9pm and they accommodated us like family. Big screen tv to watch soccer & a happy place thru closing.

Love Taco Mesa! Not sure how we’ve lived in Orange for 2.5 years and never been there but we love it! Everything is fresh and delish! I’ve had the chicken burrito– bomb! The chicken nachos are yummy and HUGE! The Enchilads Mexico and Shrimp Tostada are also great! All great, and the staff is always friendly!

Awesome. This is what food, not just Mexican food, should be like when you go out to eat. Everything is cooked to order with fresh ingredients that actually have flavor. Taco bell prices? Of course not. But you definitely get what you pay for here. No table service. Place your order at the register and pick it up at the kitchen window. Steaming hot and delicious. My practice is to eat the daily special if it is at all appealing. So I have only had the daily specials here. They have all been great. Did I mention the food is great? Parking is a little weird in the plaza they are in. And the schmucks going to In-n-Out create traffic chaos.(Don’t get me wrong. I am okay with the burger chain but it’s a mistake to eat there with Taco Mesa in your grill!) Absolutely highly recommended. Six stars.

This little restaurant is definitely a hidden gem! If you are ever in the City of Orange, check them out. They have the best Machaca I’ve ever had. Customer Service is great as well. The people that work here are very informative, and make you feel welcomed. Not only is it delicious, it’s healthy. Nom nom nom! They also have delicious fresh brewed coffee.(For all you coffee lovers) I will definitely be back

Tacos and healthy… a match made in heaven. Lots of menu items to choose from, but we settled on the two taco plate. I ordered the shrimp and the chicken… both were very good and did seem a little healthier than many of the venues I have visited. You also get a side of black beans and rice… plenty of food and well priced. Give this place a try.

This place is legit. Came for their taco Tuesday and left so darn happy! Y’all are playing if you don’t get the fish tacos. They are soooo good, exactly as they are! Best fish tacos I’ve ever had, hands down! The shredded beef was blah and the shredded chicken was okay. But my favorite thing from here was the beans!!! OMG, best beans I’ve ever had in my life! Better than my moms and that’s saying a lot considering my mom is legit Mexican goddess when it comes to her food. Their rice was good too but I’m telling you, it was all about them beans! Will be back :)

Food and service was great. My table and other tables around were a little dirty or hadn’t been cleaned up(before or during my 40min sit in) but overall I was there for a quick bite and I was truly satisfied. It’s hard to find authentic Mexican food and this place was just what my taste buds were craving!

Taco Mesa is a pretty good almost hole in the wall type of restaurant in Orange. I used to live 5 minutes from here, and everyone that I’ve taken there liked it. The décor is kind of funky though, with each side of the restaurant having a different«style» to it I guess. Feels kind of cheesy, but hey they’re not pretending to be a high class restaurant so it’s alright. They do have a lot of condiments as well(salsas, sauces, veggies), which is on the right side of the restaurant. When you go, make sure to get their specialty, the Blackened Chicken Burrito, which is $ 6.75(Chicken breast, blackened and grilled, cabbage relish, chipotle sauce and cheeses, topped with guajillo sauce and melted cheese). It’s pretty big, so come with a big appetite! Parking is no problem here as they have a private lot shared with other places in the strip mall. So, if you’re looking for a casual get together spot for you and some friends, check this place out.

The food here is made with fresh ingredients you can taste! We tried the chicken and beef tacos and I think the beef tacos were a little tastier. The black beans are delicious, and the burritos are amazing! It can get a little expensive even with a few tacos but the taste makes up for the price. Recommended.

Context: came here on a Friday for a lunch break with two other coworkers, plenty of seating but we did beat the rush by coming at around 12 pm Environment: Order and pay up front, pick up food and self seating. Casual but love the décor here with its vibrant walls! Food: I might have butchered the name, but I got the Camarones tampiquenos, which was amazing! It’s a sautéed dish with this tasty creamy sauce, with mushrooms, onions, dell papers, and a side of rice and tortillas. There was something about the shrimp and the way they grilled it that was perfect and made me keep eating the shell. My friend also ordered the lobster burrito and that was delicious as well! Service: Good service, nothing fancy just friendly staff. Price: $ 11 for my plate and roughly $ 3 for my drink Overall: I really liked this place, I just wished they gave us chips and salsa.

I DON’T BELIEVEIT! I have been going to Taco Mesa for over 6 years and have never written one review about them. Blasphemy! Honestly, I have no idea where to start. I have tried over half of the entire menu, before and after the change. I have experienced multiple service experiences, group meals, solo meals, Taco Tuesdays, and not once, NOTONCE, have I been disappointed with Taco Mesa. The thing that sets this place apart from most other Mexican style restaurants is definitely how they make the food and the ingredients. This is NOT dirty Mexican food in the slightest bit. They aim for a healthy twist on all of their dishes. For example, you will never find a dish with the traditional shredded cheddar mix or that enchilada grease that builds in the corner of a styrofoam container, or that horchata you get next to the soda machine. It’s not like that, and I’ll be darned if anyone calls this place dirty! Another unique item here is the combination carrot, cauliflower, onion mixture you get next to the salsa. Sure other places have them too but there’s a wonderful balance of flavor, texture, and sustained crunch in both the carrots and the cauliflower that make this a great stand alone treat while you wait for your dish. If I were to pick my top 3 items off the menu, it would be the Enchiladas Mexico City, Steak and mushroom taco with brie cheese, and the Alambre Steak Taco. OMG, the Alambre Steak. Their Tortas and seafood dishes are amazing as well. Today, I can’t wait for my next visit to Taco Mesa. It’s the food that calls, that pleases, that satisfies. My former roomate’s boyfriend that lives in Germany craves Taco Mesa when he visits. Too many good things about Taco Mesa, and I hope they stick around for a long time.

this place does not have the cheapest tacos on taco tuesday, but they get the job done. the tacos here actually are bigger than other places, which kinda merit the higher prices??? i remember the fish tacos was kinda dry… but the lengua and the al pastor were on point. they take a while for the food to come out. while waiting, make sure you stock up on the sauces. the best one imo is the avocado sauce. also take advantage of the pickled carrots. the best thing about this place is that they have the newest coke machine. the one where its over 100+ flavors.

I’ve had a handful of items from here, but will say I’m impressed w/the veggie tacos. I’m not a vegetarian, but the flavor does stand out. The aqua fresca they keep on deck is pretty good, & is extremely refreshing(usually watermelon) If you walk around the restaurant while waiting for your food, they have an amazing«Coexist» themed glass mosaic going on. It features all major religious symbold, w/a semi-modern twist. They also have a condiment section that’s pretty well put together, & extremely flavorful; the cilantro is never stale, & the high demand keeps the ingredients cycled throughout the day. Of all the adjacent restaurants in that center, it’s definitely the best flavor for your dollar. I would definitely suggest it to anyone trying to decide on where to eat; the food is great, & there is virtually no wait. If in the area, I would definitely go back.
