Dr Whang is a huge disappointment. My daughter has been seeing her since she was 1 yrs old and she’s now 4. After 3 years of failed eye exams because Dr Whang was able to make my daughter feel at ease I finally decided to search for another doctor. For someone who work with children I find it sad that Dr. Whang had no skills in making a child feel comfortable or has any empathy towards children. She result/​advise in putting children to sleep so she can proceed with exams which is totally unnecessary and a sign of lack of confidence. When I questioned her about her findings she was unable to answer them and didn’t give a direct answer. I’m glad I found another doctor who knows how to relate to children and get eye exam done without any medical procedure!

Dr Whang is so awesome. As a parent, any type of procedure involving your baby is a scary thing. let alone putting them under for a few minutes. Dr. Whang really put our minds at ease and the tear duct surgery was a success.

While the doctor may know what she is doing, it doesn’t make up for the lack of professionalism from the staff. My son had an out patient procedure done which was covered under insurance but the office failed to tell me there was a $ 500 facility fee. When I confronted the office the front desk told me they only check fees for PPO patients. They only use this facility. One would think they would know the fee and make all patients aware of the fee before having a procedure done.

Dr. Sarah Whang is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She has been my daughters opthamologist for over 5 years now. She is very detailed in her exams and explains everything precisely and carefully. Her office staff is also great! Mary, the front office receptionist, is always friendly and polite. I highly recommend Dr Whang as a pediatric opthamologist!

It was our first visit to the office. Dr. Whang was very thorough in her examination and patient with me and my wife, two overreacting /​overprotective parents. She was very understanding and explained every detail required in the procedure. When the cause of the condition calls for an additional specialist, she promptly makes appropriate referal (and from Unilocal search, the referred facility is amazing). She took a lot of notes during the exam and, though our baby was a bit fussy, she did not rush through the diagnosis. The vision correction glasses optometry place she recommended was equally great.
What I appreciate the most is, when the shock of learning the news prevented me to function normally for the rest of the day, Dr. Whang’s receptionist was superbly wonderful. She took, literally, every one of my dozen phone calls and tried to direct me to best handle some difficulties with my insurance’s assigned medical group. The calls went back and forth throughout a span of five hours. Not once did she lose her temper or patience on me. Extremely understanding.
Although we can’t say we look forward to the follow-​up visits due to the nature of the situation, but at least we are very happy and hopeful now that we are in the good hands of Dr. Whang and her wonderful staff. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
