Awesome! Best shrimp tacos I’ve had in a long time. Had the chipotle shrimp tacos. Definately coming back. Really liked the fact that there is no loud music playing. Nice spot to eat good food and chill.

We wanted to check this place out because a friend had told us how good it was. Well it wasn’t anything to write home about. They got my order wrong, had to ask for napkins, refills, the check. When we were there, there was a total of 6 people there including ourselves. NEVERONCE did the waitress ask how our food was, would you like a refill, anything else can I get you… Etc. You know, what waitresses normally do. The service was HORIBBLE. As for the food… Ehh not worth going back for.

The simple to-the-point review: Best service and food I’ve had while here in the Anehiem and Orange area! The more elaborated review: I stick out like a sore thumb here, with my Niho Mano(Hawaiian shark teeth) tattoos and my horrible attempts at pronouncing Spanish words(now I know how it feels like when tourists back in Hawaii try to say«Way-Key-Key»). Here tho, I felt right at home. Minnie, didn’t make me feel like a complete foreigner and she was extremely helpful at helping my gf and I pick out the more popular items on the menu. After I ordered she even went out of the way to also suggest a side dish that people like and brought me a sample. I don’t even get this kind of «Aloha spirit» treatment in Hawaii anymore! What’s even better? The food matched the service pound for pound! Being an island boy from Maui I’ve grown up with seafood, but never had I’ve had latin seafood like this. Spicy, but not over the top. Well-balanced textures and flavors. Perhaps the only knock would be that the shrimp wasn’t as fresh as the islands, but that would be extremely knit — picky, as I shouldn’t expect any seafood to be as fresh as Hawaii’s. Mahalos to the guys at … I cant pronounce, or spell the name of this place… but keep up the great work!

Came here because they took us in fast and because we had initially gone to Bahias where we got into an argument with the host because they were taking a long time to seat in on. 7 Mares is good. Service is excellent and they have karaōke. I had their 7 mares soup and it’s so good. The kids had a hamburger and my wife had shrimp cocktail and a ceviche tostada.

I wanted to check this place out having seen it on a reality TV show. Service and food were delicious. Prices were decent, a tad more than I expected but still affordable. Located in a great area. Definitely will come back on a day where they offer the specials.

So after watching Little woman LA and saw this place it looked like it would be a great place to explore and try a new restaurant since i mostly go and like to try new places to eat out. I came here first to look at the reviews before going and decided to give it a try First impression– looks nice theres not much of light in the restaurant So me and my husband went in found a place to sit as we were the only customers we had plenty of tables to choose from so we opted to sit by window that overlooks Chapman. We were approached shortly by a waitress who gave us the menu and took our drink orders i ordered what i always order at the mexican seafood restaurants«AGUAMINERALPREPARADA» my husband ordered a beer. Waitress was not to friendly. She came back with our drinks and let me tell you the drink i ordered did not look like it normally looks its way off of how it should look the taste of it was horrible no lemon like its supposed to have so i did not like it . The waitress was not friendly not even a single smile she took our ordered. So when the food came she just gave us our plates and turned around quickly not even saying is there anything missing nothing. The plate is awfully small for 13.95 i ordered camarones rancheros but it looked more like tomatoes rancheros there was alot of tomato barely shrimp. The portion of beans was so small it thin layer of beans. My husband got a fried fish he said it had no salt. So i went to restroom and when i left husband was just starting to eat his fish i return 2 minutes later his plate was gone he said he turned to watch the street and when he return to look at his plate it was gone the waitress had it on her hand and your finish im taking this as she walked away RUDE never had i been to a restaurant with some waitress who have a very bad attitude and decide to take items from table when customers are still eating. So we askes for the check and husband decided to eat the french fries i had ordered he was eating them with ketchup so when the waitress dropped the check she took the ketchup my husband just had it eveeything he was eating was being taken away so we paid and left we didnt even leave a tip is not worth it its a shame it wastes my money my gas and i came here excited to try it never again will i return.

Best shrimp tacos! The governor tacos to be exact. Caldos, tacos and more… I love the salsa it’s fresh and taste like home. One of OC’s little hidden treasures. Sometimes the staff can be a little sassy, but hey what Latina isn’t. Lol! Been coming here for 15 years! Love it!

100% recommend you try this place. It has, by far, the best ceviche and micheladas ever. You won’t be disappointed. Oh and the rest of there menu is just delicious.

Delicious food and a chill atmosphere. Also, delicious Micheladas! Had the lunch special — you can choose two items. Had a chili relleno and chicken enchilado with rice and beans.

Had the tostadas de ceviche and cheese enchiladas… taste authentic and delicious. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for homemade-type Mexican food.

I love their ceviche and their michelada is delicious if you like a lot of chili and lime. On the other hand their fish tacos were pretty crapy,(I was hoping for baja style) they used mayonnaise as their white sauce for fish tacos I thought that was gross! Del taco has much better fish tacos than this place. The mojo de ajo was ok, but very salty. Overall good easy atmosphere and cheap. I will go there again but only for ceviche and michelada

Great tasting, inexpensive, authentic, mexican food Had to wait a bit for the food to come out, but the waitress was very attentive. Came on a Friday night and there were two large parties and live music. Definitely a lively, family place. Will visit again.

The last time I went I liked everything. The margaritas were very tasty. The fried fish and ceviche was delicious. I had a great experience. This last time that I went I was very disappointed that when my meal came I received chicken thigh instead of chicken breast. It’s the first time I order a Molcajete and it comes with thigh instead of breast. Every other place serves breast. I think it’s kind of cheap that they went with thigh. I would still go back but now I know I won’t order a Molcajete again. Also, it was too loud. There was a guy doing karaōke which is cool but it was hard to talk to the person infront of me.

I used to come here all the time when I was young to sip on brews and have some bomb seafood… But it’s has totally taken a blow here it seems like. I walked in and there was no cool air. It was hotter inside than outside. First bad sign. No one was there but one waitress and like 4 patrons. I would have walked out but I went to watch the Mexico game so I decided to stick around since it was about to start. I ordered a beer that was fine as always: p The waitress seemed like she was having a bad day or something. We werent given any service even though there was no one there. I ordered the ceviche tostada and it was ok but after a bit it started to taste like canned seafood. Chale ese. Never again. Sucks this used to be one of my go to spots for Mexican seafood.

I had a good time as always, I usually get the tostada ceviche de camaron but didn’t this time. Went with the mariscos mix(small) as I started to get full with the chips and Micheladas. My food came out looking as pictured, tasted fine. The Pulpo(octopus) was good fresh tender, abalone was probably imitation but I’ve bought it in stores before. The menu seemed new to me but I haven’t been here in a little while. The restrooms have been remodeled over the years and are clean.

This place has a HUGE menu, but I had heard so much about the signature dish: Siete Mares($ 14.95 — Seven Seas), I had to order it. Siete Mares is a caldo made with clams, crab, fish, octopus, scallops, shrimp and squid. In addition, to having fresh seafood, what makes this dish is the broth. The broth is made with fish stock, tomatoes, epazote, cilantro, onions and garlic. There were also fresh onions and cilantro on the side. I have had this dish in LA, at places where my Mexican friends tell me they make the best Siete Mares. However, this one is better than any place I have tried it in LA. The caldo was packed with seafood!!! There was a ton of shrimp, big pieces of fish, a lot of octopus, loads of small scallops and a nice portion of crab. I didn’t eat the crab because I had a tie on and I didn’t want to make a mess. However, it was a large crab — Not the skinny a$$ snow crabs you get at the buffets. The broth was nicely infused by all the ingredients and had a nice kick to it: The only downside on the food is that the chips were kind of stale and the salsa, although homemade, was not that great. They have Jarritos in a variety of flavors — I had the tamarindo w/real cane sugar: 4 Stars for both. The ambiance is very casual. There was one TV in front that everyone was watching futbol — Barcelona vs Scotland. The tables and bathroom were clean: 3 Stars. The service was leisurely to say the least. The food took quite a while(which is fine because this dish should not be made hastily). However, the waitress never checked on me, never asked me if I wanted more tortillas and when I asked for the bill, it came very traditional Latin country style — «When she put it on the table». I’ll give her a free pass though, because although she was not rude, she was curvy and super cute!!!: 3 Stars. I would drive out of my way to come here. I can’t wait to return to try the cocteles, langosta(lobster) and other seafood dishes. Oh yeah, and best of all, to see the cute waitress again!!!
