Our car broke down in Orange Connecticut and I had no idea where to bring it. Luckily I looked at Unilocal and found great reviews because I was extremely happy with the service I received. Jason was very friendly and extremely helpful. He tried to determine what was wrong by replacing the starter and then taking it back out because that was not the problem and he found that the engine was blown. It turns out I had an engine recall and it has since been replaced!
If I have car trouble again I will definitely be visiting these guys!

Love at first visit. I got exactly what I was told I would get. Honest, reliable and trustworthy service. Wish I found out about Ben’s when I first moved to West Haven. They are taking incredible care of my car. I really feel relieved and will highly recommend them to any and everyone.

Yesterday, A friend and I were on a road trip to shop and visit old stomping grounds. We stopped into Ben’s to use the rest room. I went inside and was surprised the man said, «It’s unlocked.» I live in Stamford its Urban. We lock everything.
The restroom was clean, decorative rather serene. Gentle reminder over the commode for gents and ladies.
It’s rare to find the kind of welcome and hospitality I did at this stop. As wealthy and opulent Stamford is becoming; I felt special and tended to by Ben and Andrea Santamauro.
If you need a rest break in that neck of the woods check ‘em out. They are a full service auto shop-​emissions testing, Harley Davidson service, convenience store and sell lottery tickets too.

I am writing a review of Ben’s Service Station (Shell) and in particular of ERNIE
who has been my mechanic for the past ten years. I will come to the point: I have never met a professional in any area who is as dependably honest and competent as Ernie. Every bit of work that he has performed for me has turned out perfectly and I never, ever, had a sense that work was performed which wasn’t absolutely necessary
or that I was charged anything but fairly (often better than fairly). Ernie has also brought my car back from the dead on more than one occasion. Most recently I was forced to drive a distance without sufficient anti — freeze. The car was beyond overheated and barely drivable. I thought it was a goner. Ernie managed to salvage it, exactly the level of performance I have come to expect from Ernie.
Apparently I am not the only person who feels this way. Check out the other reviews. They echo mine.

This place is awesome, coffee, a lounging area with a flat screen tv, e cigs, e cig liquid, friendly employees and most importantly top quality fuel. Oh and did I mention they also have the best mechanics around for all your auto issues and they also do emissions!!!

I have had multiple good experiences with auto repairs at Ben’s. I have always found all of them to be fair, and friendly. I am writing this specifically due to my last appointment and my interaction with Val (who I now request), who was the mechanic working on my vehicle. He went out of his way to give me all my options with a repair that could have been very very costly, and he could have recommended something I really did not need at that time. He is also very thorough and has treated my vehicles as if they were his own. Thanks very much VAL.

Ernie is a very knowledgeable and so great! He went above and beyond to help fix my broken hood and did some additional free maintenance for my car. Simply amazing and honest!!! I referring my whole family to this business!!!

bens service center is the only place i will bring my car for gas and mechanical work. they offer so much to a cozy store. they have an array of snacks and drinks (not to mention pasta, sauce, and cereal), they’re a certified emissions center, i can pay my bills there (all of them, literally). their prices are very fair for work getting done to your car, the price of gas is as fair as it could be. all together its worth going there. the staff is very friendly and customer oriented. if i could choose 10 stars for a rating i would!
